YOUNG WOMEN READ THIS:
My sister, who was attending law school in the area, moved out of this complex a few months back. If you are a young woman looking to move here alone, be cautious. Be very, very cautious. My sister has had problems with the maintenance men entering her apartment without any prior warning. One young maintenance worker walked into her apartment while she was getting undressed, and he saw her! Also, when she’d go to school and come back home, there would be a note on the table from maintenance, informing her they fixed broken door-​knobs in bedroom, etc. How would they know these items were broken unless they just walked in and started looking around her apartment? It got to the point where I told her to be cautious because you never know, they might be hiding cameras inside her apartment. Oh, and be sure to close your blinds, because she has also caught one of the men peeking in the window while she was studying.
If you are a young woman, I would get a security bar to put against your door at night. My sister eventually had to get one because she never really felt safe. Also, try booby-​trapping your apartment with string, etc., to see if anyone has been in your apartment and searched your drawers or other private spaces where they don’t belong.
I felt the need to write this because I know she would never get around to it.
