I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. I use a solution –focused, strength based concept to help you learn new coping skills to decrease and/or eliminate depression, anxiety and other fears, trauma, a poor self image, relationship issues, family conflict, personality disorders, and thinking disorders. Many times we continue to approach life with the perceptions we developed within our primary families. What was your experience in your primary family? Did you learn it was okay to explore and to grow? Or did you learn it was safer to proceed with caution? I can help you identify behaviors from your past that are interfering with your happiness today. You will understand why it is important to let those behaviors go. Your participation in your treatment is essential in order to make sure you are working towards the peace and contentment that fits your needs. You can learn to live in the present while planning for a happy and productive future.
History
Established in 2012.
Personal growth is an ongoing process. Sometimes it requires change and change can be difficult. I have counseled individuals, couples, and families for several years. I worked at various facilities as a consultant or an independent contractor. This year I decided to open my own practice so that I could provide counseling services that are specific to the client’s needs and not comprised by the impersonal demands of many insurance companies. I began to think I was treating the charts instead of treating the clients. Opening my own practice has also been an opportunity for me to continue my own personal growth.

I always remember how interesting it was to observe people. As a child I wanted to know what made people behave or think the way they did. I grew up around people of different races and ethnic backgrounds and I learned about the mannerisms and expectations of different cultures. I thought it was wonderful. When I was a teenager, I discovered that despite cultural and racial differences, people had the same basic needs: love, family, support, a purpose in life and a desire to belong. I knew from an early age that I wanted to work with people and help them find what they needed to make them happy.
