Living right down the street my girlfriend really wanted some gravy fries. So I jumped on Unilocal and the Lansdale tavern came up. So i ordered those and the large onion rings to go over the phone. They were busy but told me it would be 20 mins. When I arrived it was ready and hot! The gravy fries were good but could have used more gravy(will order extra gravy next time), and the onion rings were amazing. Not sure of the sauce on the side but it was AWESOME. I can tell you I’ll get fat ordering stuff from here more often in the future

I went to the tavern because a friend recommended it to me. when I first walked in I was greeted by the bartender as if I was norm from cheers. The beer selection was very nice but prices a little high. I was glad that I stopped by and would recommend it if you like a small local bar experience

Simple little bar and restaurant in the heart of Lansdale. Good hangout place for the locals. Lots of beer options and the staff is great. Don’t come with huge expectations. This place is for folks that like the simple things in life.

Waitress/bartender sweet and quick! I wasnt sure between 2 sandwhiches and she helped. I am NOT disappointed! We started off with chicken nachos. DELICIOUS! I ordered a cheese syeak w/fried onions and waffle fries. Rolls taste like they are delivered fresh daily! Big plus! Waffle fries are better than anywhere I’ve ever been! And the cheese steak is amazing! My fiancé ordered a steak sandwhich with steak fries and it’s so good he hasn’t stopped to breathe yet! Lol. Couldn’t believe how fast the good came out either. Definitely a new favorite place for us!

Service is far too slow for a dead afternoon. We waited what was close to 10 minutes before we were acknowledged(and we were sitting at the bar, right in front of the bartender’s face) I went with a friend for lunch, and she had to leave to get back to work before our food came out.(she works 2 minutes away, and had an hour break). Getting the bill when it was time for me to leave was another long wait. I could not understand the cause for such poor service, as the place had maybe 5 customers. I gave 1 star because the food was at least ok. Nothing to rave about, just typical bar food.

Was looking for a casual place late on a Saturday night and decided to try the Lansdale Tavern. Was surprised at the renovation upgrade from the previous owner. The menu was basic pub food, except on weekends they offer Prime Rib. My wife got a burger(which she enjoyed) and I ventured the Prime Rib. Boy was I surprised at how tender and tasty my end cut was. Add the vegetable and baked potato and I was a happy camper. The dinner also included a salad, all at a very reasonable price The waitress was very good, quite accommodating. Was disappointed at the lack of dessert availability. The previous owners had a great turkey special, but my meal surpassed the turkey memory. Last note – the serving was large enough that I was able to enjoy again for lunch the next day.

Place has decent priced drinks and bar food. If you’re looking for a place to grab a few domestic brews and snack then this is a good spot.

I hate to leave negative feedback, but others have done the same so I will reluctantly join the crowd. I visited for the first time last night, Tuesday June 10th. I just intended to have a couple beers at the bar. Imagine my shock at learning they charge $ 6 for a Sam Adams draft. I have no problem paying a higher price for quality beer, spirits, or food. But we’re talking plain old Sam Adams here. On the upside, the bartender was a great guy whom I left a decent tip for. He doesn’t set the prices.

My husband and I really like the food but the prices have gone up way too much(assumingly to pay for renovations, which ARE a huge improvement). Their prices are up there w/Molly McGuires but it’s just a tiny hometown bar. They often do those double take deals(pay $ 15 for a $ 30 certificate) and that’s the only time we’ll go there.

Overpriced drinks. $ 10 martini? Are we in New York City? Food also sort of a roller coaster, up and down. When good, it is great. Portions way too large and cheese on everything. Overworked staff when busy. Owner no help. At least it is clean now.

OK, when will I learn, since I am a neighbor I decided to try again. Service was terrible. Appetizers was brought out with main entrée. When questioned server said oh yeah your appetizer is coming. She was clueless, no owner or manager to talk to, food was OK, did not make up for poor service. Where are the owners or managers, always told not available! Parking lot is a nightmae, trash dumpters is always open, i know, i am a neighbor and have to live with the smell! Please! Be a good resident!

The Lansdale Tavern was SO much better when it was Huey’s. The quality of the food and service both went down the tubes. We used to be regulars, and now we avoid it.

Been to this place a couple times and had a great experience each time. Great low key tavern to watch a game with a buddy. Decent beers on tap and good prices. Bartenders are friendly and food was great. Place is clean and has good hd tvs. Would recommend to someone who is seeking the neighborhood bar without the snobbery of a place like Molly Maguires.

My husband and I have been here a few times since the new owner has taken over. We have had a great experience each time. We just ate there and I had the pulled pork sandwich with fries and it was as good as homemade! My husband had a basic cheeseburger. He was very happy with the generous portion size. He said it was done just right, and the roll, lettuce & tomato were all fresh. We both loved the buffalo chicken dip appetizer! Our waitress was very friendly, and our service was prompt. We also like that they are now bringing in entertainment a couple weekends a month. It so nice to have this option right in our town, just like so many places do in Conshohocken or Ambler! The atmosphere is cozy and warm. We think we’ve found our new favorite place! :-)

Let’s start with the positives. Friendly staff. Great selections of micro brewer. If I’m ranking on beverages, 4 stars. The lansdale tavern has a good beer selection. Lots of craft and micro brews. If I’m ranking on food, 1 star. My mmm and I split hot wings. I had a grilled cheese with Bacon and tomato, he had a blue cheese burger. Halfway through my first wing, I realized it was horribly under cooked. The meat at the bone was still pink. I couldn’t eat any more wings, but the flavor of the sauce was great. My mmms burger had red peppers on it, despite his asking for it without toppings. My grilled cheese was kinda bland. The Bacon was undercooked and rubbery. As were the steak fries that came with the entrees. All in all, a place I’d come to for drinks, but not food.

Awful is the best way to describe this place. Food was cold and bland, bottled beer was warm, waitress awful. This place could not shine Huey’s shoes
