Don’t shop here. Go to Bowie Lowes for better customer service. Employees are lazy busy talking to themselves instead of helping customers especially Faith and Lorna. It’s lucky if you see a staffed cashier open, instead, they usualy have only self checkout available. Merchendise is piled all over the floors and Home Depot App Merchendise locator isn’t accurate. Merchendise here is always out of stock or misplaced that it’s impossible finding anything you are looking for. This store is a shame for the community. Home Depot is always inferior to Lowes, but this one sure proves Lowes is a better place to shop.

The customer service is horrible. I went to buy an electric screwdriver and I had questions. It took 15 minutes for someone to acknowledge me and he was walking by me, if I hadn’t waived him down he would walked right by. He might as well kept walking because he wasn’t much help when he did stop.

Another great Home Depot with me moving into a new house I go to several Home Depot’s and look for what I need I have zero complaints and they were always fully stocked definitely will come back again over and over and I recommend this app is okay I’ve never had anyone rude although I’ve never had to ask anyone here for anything and there was even a blond girl at the front dancing around greeting the customers if you are not happy person this will be annoying I kind of welcomed it because her mood set the tone for me and I walked around happily dancing through the aisles as well

Don’t call the pro desk. I just called and spoke to the Manager of the pro desk who told me I couldn’t place an order because he had 5 people in front of him. So I asked to speak to another manager. Was just on hold and after a few minutes, the call hung up (I’m on a land line) Must be some pretty poor management there if the employees can just pick up a line and say «hang on» and put you back on hold. After speaking with someone at customer service that person just kept sending my call to the Pro desk where no one picked up and it was sent back to customer service. So for nearly 10 minutes the call was just transferred multiple times with no assistance.
Finally after speaking with Mike, Junior gets back on the phone and rudely accepts my credit card payment because or electrician has already arrived.
Avoid them if you can. After the experience with Junior we were not even able to give the Pro extra benefits number.

Must been the day of the week that made a difference. Called to see if the had wooden letters in the store. The young lady put me on hold for over 15 minutes. I called back only to find out NO they don’t. The letters are shown online. Guess I will go to Hobby Lobby in Laurel.

I can’t decide if I love or hate this Home Depot. I do shop there a lot, and have always been satisfied with the actual merchandise I come home with. And sometimes, I get really good customer service. But other times, I’m left wondering how the place even stays open. One time, I was in the garden center and while I was shopping, I stepped on the rusty nail that was sticking straight up through a broken pallet. It went through my shoe and into my foot. Yes, I suppose I should have looked where I was going. But it was in the aisle. OK, accidents happen. But when I told the garden center employee, they were like «oh, sorry about that». I asked, um do you have a first aid kit? I’m bleeding! «No, you’ll have to try customer service.» After hobbling in, I wandered in, waited in a short line, and then finally was given some hydrogen peroxide and a band-​aid. That was it. They didn’t take my name, ask if I needed anything, etc. Nothing. I ended up at the urgent care later on my own dime to get a tetanus shot. That’s the kind of service you can expect there, even if you are not lucky enough to step on a nail. If there is not a button for it, they don’t know how to press it.

Lanham Home Depot store has no service in their departments between the hours of 6.00−9.00am. I visited the store this morning to purchase a freezer. Although there was someone sitting in that area he made 2 announcements for assistance for me 15 minutes later nobody showed up. I grab the ticket price from the freezer I needed and headed to the customer service desk. A manager was paged and eventually showed up after 12 minutes. She couldn’t use the computer at the service desk and had to walk back to the appliances department. I was told to go back to the appliance department and meet the manager while walking up to the desk she’s on her phone writing a text instead of looking for the item needed. The workers appear to be walking around with no urgency to assist customers. But then again if the manager is illustrating that type of customer service why will they perform any better.
The guy at the desk in the appliances area said nobody is on the schedule until 9.00am. I guess they should open their store at 9.00am and not 6.00am.

This Home Depot has OUTSTANDING customer service skills! They’ve apparently had training or it’s mandatory that they speak and assist everyone, but any way you cut it, I was impressed.
I was greeted by every single employee that I encountered! Not only was I greeted with a courteous smile, I was politely asked if I needed any assistance. I’m glad that the employees are eager to offer their assistance because I have no clue where I’m going when I enter into a hardware store, so the assistance is very helpful and welcomed. They also know where every item is located. Whatever I’m looking for, they can rattle off the aisle to find it and in most cases they take me to the item and go through my options with me.
I can usually find any and everything I’m looking for in Home Depot. It’s close to my house, the staff is wonderful and the prices are reasonable. I’m a truly satisfied customer!

«you can do i; we can help.» that’s the home depot motto, right? well, after my last visit t to this HD, i’m not so sure.
i’m still willing to give them 3 stars because the store is always immaculate and well –stocked, and the staff is [almost always] helpful and friendly. they do a good job of consistently greeting customers, asking if you’re finding everything ok, do you need any assistance, etc. and there’s plenty of them; all you have to do is look up and you can find an orange apron nearby if you have a question. this has been my experience whenever i’ve gone for paint & painting supplies, tools, plumbing parts/​advice, home décor, and odd job supplies.
but on my last visit, which was also my first time frequenting the garden/​landscaping/​outdoor section, i was disappointed, annoyed, and almost offended. first and foremost, it seemed as if the ENTIRE staff in that section had no clue about its contents beyond «the soil is over there and the pots are that way.» the section is huge, by the way.
as first time gardeners, my girlfriend and i had done a significant amount of research and even attended a couple classes [elsewhere] before taking the plunge. we had our lists of items to purchase, and a couple of questions, and were ready to plunk down a good amount of cash at home depot so we could get started. out of the seven HD employees we asked for help in the section, NONE knew ANYTHING about gardening. one was honest from the jump in telling us that she didn’t know and attempted to get us someone who did. two made pitiful attempts to fudge it but it became clear, quickly, that even as novices we knew more than them, and THREE only attempted to come help us so they could come flirt. WTH! (yeah, yeah, i know. no one wants to hear «oh, woe is me… my milkshake brings all the boys to the yard.» but we really wanted help with, well, the yard! not horrible pick up lines in lieu of answers to gardening questions. ugh!) and the 7^th one? the one ms. honest got for us when she couldn’t help? he said he was getting something for a customer and would «be right back» to help us. yeah… he never returned (we waited in that aisle for a LONG time).
so…lesson learned. do not patronize HD for gardening items, and certainly not gardening help, unless you already know exactly what you need and only require the service of the cashier and/​or the muscle of an orange apron to get the goods into your car. we went up the street to frank’s garden center for soil and a few other items, and GREAT advice on gardening from very knowledgable folks. we got the big build-​a-​bed kit for the garden bed and a few other large items that frank’s doesn’t sell, at HD. and we did it… with the home depot supplies but with FRANK’S help.

This is the Home Depot closest to my home so I come here whenever I need hardware type stuff in a hurry.
It’s very clean and well organized and the staff are generally friendly and knowledgeable.
There’s always plenty of parking and I’m generally well pleased with this particular store/​location.

I’m not a big fan of large hardware suppliers, especially Home Depot. Generally their staff is rude, unhelpful, and terribly uneducated about the products they sell. Heck, most of them don’t even know their store’s layout.
This one, on the other hand, was like the anti-​Home Depot. The store was brilliantly cleaned and organized. Even the picked-​over Xmas-​ware was neatly stacked and on sale.
I can’t say enough about the staff. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, that was a staff member greeted me as I walked by if s/​he wasn’t with a customer. Every question I had was answered, or the clerk found someone to assist me and get me the right information.
There are two Home Depots that are closer to my home, but from now on, I’ll be making the trek out to Lanham for my hardware needs!
(This location is in a shopping center with a Target, Office Depot, Chick-​Fil-​A, Starbucks, Chevy Chase Bank, AT&T Store, and many others.)
