I just can’t give them 5 stars. After all, it’s a buffet and the chicken is coated in a lot of flour. With that said, Me and 5 family members walk in on Saturday afternoon about 1:30. It was busy! We were seated immediately. The food was great. Everything was hot instead of the usual buffet luke warm. The grill was hopping. Even our server, I think her name tag read KD was extremely cordial and most efficient. I don’t or won’t go to buffets for than 1 or twice a year, but if I did, it would be right back here to Teppanyaki.

Warning beware of the long wait times. We came here yesterday during the Mother’s Day rush. Wait was about 25 mins. I used to come her a lot but since moving I’ve been going to the Laurel location. I must say this place has better well seasoned food, more sushi options, and larger seating areas. Sushi at buffets are always mediocre, but here you’ll find that they keep the tuna, salmon rolls well stocked and there is always a chef making the fun rolls. I’d avoid anything here that has American noodles in it like the Mac n cheese and Pasta with Italian dressing for some reason you just get this weird after taste and the pasta is all mushy. You get your bang for your buck here with the sushi, grilled meat and seafood. If your a seafood fanatic time your meal and make sure your at the stations when they refill.

What. A. Find! We’ve been searching for a good chinese buffet place in the area, and I think we might have found it! We came for the weekday lunch buffet, and holy lunch buffet, Batman! $ 7.49 for a weekday lunch buffet, and they had a very full spread! We went on a Saturday and it went up a whopping .50; 7.99 for a weekend lunch buffet! They had your favorites, general tso’s, black pepper chicken, lo mein, chicken broccoli, your American fare, pizza, chicken nuggets, mac and cheese, chicken wings, lots of seafood, and lots of dessert options. They even had their own sushi and hibachi areas open. The place was very clean, and the waitstaff came by frequently to clear plates and fill drinks. Overall, we were very impressed with this place. We’ll definitely be back!

So I have been here quite a number of times since I first went last fall and I’m upgrading to five stars. Obviously, five compared to other buffets, not to fine dining. But I have been to places like this before where one day it’s good, one day it sucks. I’ve never had an off night here, every time the food is just as good as the last. I still love that they have eel nigiri, which no other place around here seems to have. They also changed their«French beef» dish from tough oddly cut chunks of beef to tender pieces like in beef and broccoli. To people saying the place smells or is dirty, I dunno. I notice cleanliness, believe me, but I’ve never had any problem with this place. In fact, when you walk in it’s got that delicious Chinese buffet smell, whereas other places smell kind of stale when you walk in. I’ve been to probably ever buffet in 20 miles and this is probably the best one. I would say I wish they served some kind of squid. They have neither squid nor oysters/clams on the half shell nor duck, one of which would be nice. Some of the other places do and not for much more $.

So apparently at this location your not allowed to use the 2 $ coupon. Not that its a big deal but according to them Unilocal did not ask permission to promote 2 $ off your next visit.

Loved it! Tons of choices. Too many to try everything in one trip even, so I missed out on the hibachi. I liked all the seafood too. The crab was pretty good but they didn;t ahve the right tools to get it open so it was difficult to eat.

Excellent food and atmosphere. Never been to a buffet where it’s clean and the food is restocked regularly. Sushi was fresh and the hibachi grill is a plus. I will definitely go back again

This place is ok. The price is cheap for a buffet. Not a lot of Chinese food. The habachi grill is decent. This is more like an American buffet. Food is ok. Not a place I would recommend to a friend. I would eat here if I was on a budget.

My 5-star rating is based on other buffet restaurants, and not on all restaurants. There are many Chinese buffet restaurants that have arisen in the area, and I dislike most of them. This one is the exception. It far exceeds any of its competitors and is the the best bang for the buck in both quality and price. There are lots of things to be desired of all these restaurants, but this one is by far the best of the lot. And you can get it to go or pack up your leftovers for $ 4 per pound(a little more for meat). If I get about the same amount of food to go as I would eat there, it’s $ 10 – 12 dollars worth, so it’s a great deal for me at the before-3:30 $ 8 price, and I break even with take-out versus the dinner price. It’s a great deal for $ 8, and I only get water with lemon slices added — they charge a lot for drinks, but everything else is included in the meal. The hibachi grill is the best offering: they cook in front of you the food you pick out. Some other buffets offer this, but none with this variety. Lots of extra choices, such as snow peas, for instance. Just for this alone, this place is worth the $ 8. If you are willing to wait 10 minutes, just getting this to go for $ 4 per pound(more if you add meat) is also a great deal. The sushi is outstanding. No, you don’t get the kind of sushi you get if you pay $ 30 or more at a sushi restaurant. But the sushi at every other one of these buffets was awful and worth avoiding. Here, the variety is great and they are delicious. Just for their sushi, this place is worth the $ 8. The salad is great. I even stop here just to get salad for take-out for $ 4 per pound, which is cheaper than any area grocery store salad, with twice the variety. For just the salad, it’s worth the $ 8, and a better deal to go for salad than anywhere else I know of. Most of the rest of the stuff on the tables in the middle are of low quality. But there are a few gems, and you just have to find them and cherry-pick them from the rest of the usual boring cheap buffet crap that other buffets share, but without these few additions. Hunt for them. I love the string beans, for instance: always perfectly crisp, which is rare for a buffet. The clams are delicious. The fried plantains are yummy. And out of tons of boring rices and pastas, their angel hair rice noodles(mei fun) are delicious.(Unfortunately, they remove this one and replace it with a meat dish after 3:30 when they raise their prices another $ 4 for dinner — I actually prefer the cheaper lunch items!) And one advantage to having lots of mediocre food I wouldn’t touch at this place, is that you can take a group of fussy friends who don’t agree on any food, or friends with fussy kids, and there will be something for everyone — all sorts of fried crap and pizza and so forth. Plenty of vegan dishes for vegetarian friends. Plenty of meat dishes for meat-eating friends. They have a ton of boring desserts and cakes I don’t like that kids will love, but I go for their fresh kiwi and pineapple slices for dessert instead. Some reviewers were upset because they came on Sunday afternoon, and not only do they charge the dinner price all day Sunday, but that it’s very crowded on Sundays. That’s only because it’s the best stop for after-church family meals with lots of good food that won’t bankrupt all the poor people in the area. So it’s going to be packed with the church crowd on Sundays. No reason to give it a bad review because it’s the number one after-church deal for families. Go before 3 on any of the other 6 days and there will be no line with rare exception, and you’ll get the best deal in town. Or just go for take-out, which they don’t advertise, but which I prefer to any take-out fast-food joints in the area.

I never thought these large Chinese buffets would start to pop up all over the place. All these large Chinese buffets are very similar. 6 – 8 stations of hot food, a salad bar, a dessert bar and a build your own stir fry station. The food quality is cheap chinese and IMO work just like laxitive. I used to frequent these when I was in college for a cheap, hot meal but then again I would also end up frequenting the bathroom typically an hour after. My visit here was for a wedding rehearsal dinner and I hoped my past experiences wouldn’t be repeated. I ate from the salad bar, some of the chicken wings, fruits and a few pieces of cake. Unfortunately I was wrong. My friend also ended up with a rough experience, he just had stir fry and salad. Now maybe if I had went for the hot food things would have been different. This place may be great for value but the quality is cheap. If you’re a fan cool but I’d just recommend no salad bar.

Ate here after visiting the Goddard NASA Space museum. Price is good, especially with the seafood crabs. Variety of food, even my 4 yr old had lots of choices she enjoyed. Clean restroom and dining area. Good service.

Was one of the few asian buffet places in a area i felt safe going too. so far we like it, but they have competition now as a new one has opened up closer to my house! they always have fresh food and stuff so it’s never a wait to get anything.

This place gets a 5BECAUSE for a mere $ 7.50 you can have lunch here(maybe only weekdays?) and eat as much as you want of nearly WHATEVER your belly desires. I ate lunch here a couple days ago and the sushi was good enough(some fried versions weren’t great however the salmon-avocado-creamcheese rolls were ONPOINT). The soups could have been better but I was happy enough with my bowl of dumpling soup.(Again, let me remind you, $ 7.50!!!) 2 more things I will highlight are their fruit and their icecream(2 things that could easily SUCK at a cheap buffet.) Well, they had a good variety of FRESH fruit including mango(!!!), pineapple, 3 melons, kiwi… absolutely delicious. And they have a freezer with a variety of pre-packaged icecream options(like cups of icecream, icecream bars, and icecream sandwiches.) Not gourmet however WAY better than the ice-milk soft serve found so often at buffets. Anyway. Just thought I’d write a review to encourage ANYONE to come here for lunch, since they really do have«something for everyone».

The food here was good. Eeryhing they served was high quality, and good prices. All that’s missing for the fifth star is larger variety and cheaper drinks.

The food is decent, but the service sucks. If they think they missed even one penny on your check, they will harass you at your table for it. Its really quite sad. Your lucky if you get a server who is consistent with your drinks and light on talking, because thats what passes for good service.

The food quality was good, the crab was my favorite(seasoned very well). The hibachi grill was ok, salad bar was good(could’ve user a few more condiments). Fruit bar was also good. I wasn’t expecting much upon my arrival. I am a picky eater and am not often impressed with buffets, but this place met my expectations. There was many options to choose from. Overall this place is pretty good. $ 11.99 for Sunday dinner. The service was good, we had a very sweet waitress who was very attentive. I will return here in the future.

I can not stress enough how much I dislike buffets! I would never have gone to this restaurant if it weren’t for a family member’s birthday dinner. We arrived at 3 on a Sunday afternoon and it was PACKED!!! We waited in line for at least 20 — 25 minutes to pay to enter. I believe the price was $ 15, which included the gratuity. They have a «party room» in the rear of the restaurant(which is where we sat) that holds several tables for people that reserve them for special events. As we finally walked into the restaurant it was made very clear to me once again why I loathe buffets. Perhaps it’s the people scrambling to fill their plates up with food that they’re either not going to eat or don’t really need to eat, or maybe it’s the people hovering over the food trying to decide what they want to eat, or perhaps it could be the fact that most people always«want to get their money’s worth» and try to stuff themselves to death. Any way you slice it, buffets don’t impress me. Sure, this restaurant has a hibachi grill, fresh sushi and a large variety of foods to choose from, but out of the 85 dishes they offer, how many are really good and makes you want to come back for more? Well, the items I chose were sub-par. I can’t even elaborate on the items I decided on because they were unmemorable. It was hot inside and the fact that everyone in the city of Lanham apparently decided to dine at this restaurant on the same day, didn’t make it any better. Everyone was crammed into this place like sardines and they seemed to love it. The servers would come around every now and then to sling your beverages to you. Several others in my group weren’t impressed with the food. I can honestly say that the 2 best parts of the night were seeing family members I hadn’t seen in a while and leaving!!! I was glad to come and support my family member for his special birthday dinner, but I wouldn’t have chosen this place.
