Let me just start this review with… I’ve been going here for 17 years. I have had 2 children while using this practice. Once I am 100% positive I am done having children I will be leaving this practice, as it has now turned into an OB/​GYN mill. Most of the doctors are great… most of the CRNAs too, but there was 1 in particular whom I will never see again. She told my husband at a prenatal appointment that I was basically closet eating due to the amount of weight I had gained since the last appointment. The pregnancy nurse Danielle, I believe her name was, wasn’t all that friendly when I needed to call her, and onenof the ultrasound techs looked like she wouldnhave rather have been at the dentist.
It used to be a great practice, but they’ve grown too big.

I’m having a positive experience and I’m continuing to be treated here. I’m already recommending Dr. Berk to friends and coworkers. Thanks.

I love this office. I love the docs and the nurse practitioners. It’s hard to get through to them on the telephone but if you leave a message they will call you back. You can get your mammogram right there in the same office AND get a fab facial. That’s how I like to body shop! Hi Dr. Patal! LOVE her!!!

I recently moved to the area and decided to give this practice a try. Overall a decent experience. I’ve gone for my annual appt and now for my first pregnancy.
Yes, at times you have to wait a bit for your appointment in the waiting area, but I have found over the years, no matter where you go, there is generally a wait time. Scheduling an appointment has never been a problem.
I’m giving four stars because no place is perfect, but overall I have had wonderful interactions with all but one nurse who completed my annual appt, who I felt had poor bedside manner. And I wish they had later appt times, but the early before work appt work well for me.
So far, my experiences with Mary the nurse/​certified midwife, Danielle ultrasound tech and Dr. Kuhn have been great! I look forward to meeting some of the other doctors in my upcoming appointments.
Their practice overall seems open to different philosophies. I am hoping for a natural birth process and so far there has been no issues with this– I am educated on both benefits and risk associated and told, generally speaking, that labor/​delivery has been a natural occurrence for so many years that medical intervention is only used, when-​well-​medically necessary for the safety of mom or baby.
I am hopeful that they will keep to their philosophy when it comes to practice!
I find it unfortunate that people have reported some poor experiences; I hope whatever issues that occurred were used as learning experiences to keep improving their practice.

The staff is friendly and they give you the service you need. HOWEVER, the front desk staff is kind of unpleasant, it takes 20 minutes to get through the phone system. It’s infuriating. Trying to find out what time my appointment is, calling multiple times, was on hold the whole way to the office. I get to the office to see all the girls chatting to each other like hens it’s ridiculous. I’m especially aggravated about the lack of communication. Usually offices call and confirm or remind of an appointment, they did not do this. I arrive ten minutes early, they say I’m ten minutes late. Then to reschedule takes weeks.

I had surgery with Dr. Anne Walker on 11÷17÷15 and she was TWO HOURS LATE to my procedure due to a «mix up in time.» She admitted that she went out for a jog, got a ton of pages for her on-​call status, and then finally decided to show up. I had this surgery scheduled well over a month in advance. Now for my post-​op check up, I can’t even see her because I had to reschedule my appointment due to last-​minute travel problems; riddle me why I can’t be fifteen minutes late to an appointment but she can be TWO HOURS late to a surgery? And why would I want to see another doctor for a procedure that they didn’t perform? I can’t say I don’t mind seeing someone else just for the fact that Dr. Walker has minimal communication skills in regards to patient advocacy; the post-​operative nursing group thought that my Lupron was birth control. I have never had an easy experience with this facility, and this is just the icing on the cake. Some of the nursing staff is pleasant, but they never seem to have their ducks in a row; incorrect patient records, rushing through exams, etc. I’m taking my GYN care somewhere else.

Terrible experience today with Dr. Bluebond. After moving to Philadelphia a few years ago, I decided just last year that I really need local doctors (instead of in Boston). I did my research, or so I thought. While my experience was decent last year for my annual, my 2^nd visit with the doctor today was appalling. After waiting 45 minutes to be seen (appt was at 9:30am and was not seen until 10:15), I was called back and asked to verify some information on my record. While the nurse tech was sweet, she also complained about other techs and their inability to code correctly. I told the tech things I was concerned about and some questions I had for he doctor. Shortly after the doctor saw me. He was abrupt, talking through my question while doing the physical exam. He rushed me through the entire appointment. What is really sad is that I was very excited for this appointment as it was my first time asking questions about getting pregnant (I get married next June). He told me being on BC for extended periods doesn’t impact fertility or chances of getting pregnant, and dismissed my inquiry about an alternative approach to another concern of mine. He then told me to get dressed, left the room and said to meet him outside. He then proceeded to discuss my personal and confidential medical history IN THE HALLWAY! As a mental/​behavioral health therapist, I take confidentiality very seriously. I was appalled! I met with the practice administrator, and the doctor called to apologize. But the experience can not be taken back and I was left with sadness and disgust. I do not recommend this facility.

Update: Center for Women’s Health repeatedly ignored my requests to rectify the bill. I contacted a law firm. The lawyer assigned to my case got attention quickly. The bill was rectified. It’s sad that it took a lawyer for them to do the right thing. Obviously, they hoped I just go away.

I have been a patient for 5 years. Had my first baby 2 yrs ago and my next is due in 3 months. I delivered at capital health hopewell and had the most amazing experience. The hospital it beautiful and the nurses were remarkable. I love the doctors at center for womens health and have never had a problem. Yes, I have had to wait occasionally for a dr for my name to be called– but sometimes that is expected. I highly recommend this office and the doctors.

I have been a patient of Center for Women’s Health for a long time and have never an issue. I have seen all docs and nurse practitioners. They are all friendly and have never had to wait more than 15 min for my appt. I recently had our 2^nd child, we delivered at Capital Health Hopewell. It was a PERFECT experience. Dr. Patel was excellent. I used a different practice with our first and the difference was night and day. I highly recommend them.

Hey, dumb physician assistant or whatever you are, maybe don’t lead people into a room and tell them «sorry for your loss,» 1 minute after laughing and joking with them. It’s just possible they have no idea there was any loss! And also it’s possible that a stranger’s false sympathies don’t make anything better anyway!
OMG. I had to call like 5 times to even get my first prenatal visit scheduled. One time the receptionist called me back and left a message to call her at what was apparently her cell phone. I had no idea, I just called the number given back. She was a bitch as she practically implied I stalked her for it. Don’t worry lady, I don’t want to call your rude, nasty self on your personal line, EVER. Maybe don’t leave it.
So, they never did schedule me. They acted very confused that I had a positive home test and wanted to come in at all. The first they could fit me in was 9 ½ weeks. I ended up at the ER before that, so I brought those records. Apparently there was a bunch of stuff I was supposed to come in before that to do, as they said at this visit. Okaaay. Since I’m not psychic, and I tried my best to communicate with the nasty people at the front desk through their communication failures, yet they failed to schedule me properly, I didn’t know that. I’m not the expert at this; they are supposed to be that.
I had a long morning of talking about my pregnancy and what to expect. All happy stuff, right? The ER ultrasound apparently wasn’t enough at 5 – 6 weeks, so I had to come back in the afternoon for one. This was my very first pregnancy. I’m not the expert, they are. Why the fck did they feel the need to torture me with hope all morning, to find out that afternoon the baby had died 2 weeks ago?
Also, the ER ultrasound tech spent a good long, painful while getting a good look at my retroverted uterus. Theirs spent like 30 comfortable seconds. Way to try and be thorough.
At least I know I need to find another OB-​GYN now! 6 years ago, I would have given them 5 stars. Wtf happened? I guess they’re too focused on their other pursuits to care much about their core business anymore. I wish I weren’t left with this deep feeling of mistrust. If I do go for a d&c, I don’t want to use them.
UPDATE 4÷9÷15: Okay, you can’t talk to these people, only over them. Apparently they didn’t write «missed miscarriage» in my chart, and/​or are not interested in whether I have actually miscarried or not (I have not).
My HCG has been dropping the past two weeks. I am horribly devastated and depressed about losing my baby and waiting to miscarry (OBVIOUSLY, so maybe stop being so GD cheerful on the phone!). When I asked «how long will this take» and was told maybe 3 – 4 more weeks, I was also told since I’m not «bleeding anymore» that it might go faster and that I might do blood draws every 2 weeks instead… okay…I thought that was irrelevant but hung up. It just occurred to me that they think I’ve had the miscarriage? Who said? I had just said I never bled at all whatsoever… so how the f– could I have miscarried? What is wrong with these people, and how am I supposed to get help and support? Is this going to go on for another month unless I’m the one who says I need a D&C? I’m such a medical expert, that’s sure to go well. Dumb, dumb dumb people.
My husband left a worried message for Colleen, and the CRNP then called me and left a message to call her back about «my questions regarding my pregnancy.» My PREGNANCY??? That is a VERY POOR synonym for «missed miscarriage.» That, or they never updated my chart…
UPDATE ⁴⁄₁₆: This gets better and better. I miscarried yesterday. A half hour after, I get a call from the center. It’s the billing dept. wanting to talk about my deductible and my expenses. This person was the nicest I’ve ever encountered there. But she wants to talk about the «global physician fee» or something. I was very confused, thinking, you want me to pay thousands of dollars for Dr. Walker coming in for two minutes to tell me about my missed miscarriage and ask me 20 times, while I’m in stunned shock, if I have any questions? So I said «what is this for though.» She seemed confused that I didn’t understand it was for the LABOR AND DELIVERY FEE. THEY WANTED TO TALK ABOUT THE COST TO DELIVER MY BABY. THE ONE THEY TOLD ME 3 WEEKS AGO HAD NO HEARTBEAT. Well, I had just labored and delivered all alone in my own bathroom, so what could I even say. I laughed. When I told her, she was mortified. Only genuinely nice person I’ve encountered through this at the center.
I asked her to get Colleen for me, as they never bothered to tell me what to expect after the actual miscarriage. Colleen seemed very unconcerned. I am sick to death of her, and for her alone and my last name starting with «K» I will never be interacting with these people again.
Bottom line — The disorganization and disinterest bordering on rudeness leads to terrible medical care.

I spoke to someone on the phone today from Women’s Health Care. She was extremely short with me and VERY rude. I’m disappointed because I heard great reviews about the doctors. This is my first time trying to get pregnant and looking for a new Obgyn. Now I know I will definitely not be going to this place. I can’t imagine calling them again and talking to someone who is so unfriendly, when they should be making new clientele feel warm and welcomed. It was awful. If the doctors are so great, the receptionists should be as well.

I had gone here when I was 15 and I returned here as an adult. Twice I was told things about my health that were untrue, and that’s why I no longer go here.
When I was 15 the doctor told me to expect a good chance I won’t be able to have children due to my PCOS. They never put me on metformin or anything to help me with my diagnosis, they just pushed birth control. I now know after getting a second opinion that metformin is the way to manage the symptoms of PCOS. At age 29 I had my first child, so that alarming diagnosis given to a 15 year old was not warranted.
I returned to this practice as an adult and was diagnosed with a bicorneate uterus and was told I needed surgery or I would not be able to carry a pregnancy. I scheduled the surgery as they mentioned but then gave it some thought and got a second opinion. There is nothing wrong with me… again, I have a healthy 11 month old daughter now and I had no surgery.
Look elsewhere. I highly recommend Dr. Chris and Dr. Stanley Sliwinski (father/​son practice) in Yardley.

They are always at least an hour late for your appointment, if you can even get them to pick up the phone to make one. I had to call four different times where i waited at least 15 minutes each time before someone would pick up. Now im sitting in the room waiting to be seen and its been an hour since i was supposed to be taken care of. I would switch if i could find someone who was taking new patients.

Dr. Ruppersberger was extremely judgmental with me. I only needed him to get the referral I needed to see the fertility specialist I had already chosen. He turned out to be quite unwilling to grant my referral: he came right out and told me to give up already (I was 34), at my age I should be ashamed to pursue pregnancy. In the end he only refused the referral until he had performed a certain procedure. The procedure was a hysterosalpingogram, which he did at Lower Bucks Hospital. I don’t know how I managed not to laugh out loud during it. There we were, just us two (illegal for sure, and probably unethical not to have an assistant) in the procedure room, he has inserted tools vaginally that he has to push through my cervix. The only sound in the room was his ridiculous grunting with each effort to push those tools. It was quite absurd.
To this day I feel embarrassment for each interaction I had with the man; for him or for myself I’m never quite sure. Shame on him for treating any patient in this way. I gather from other reviews here that his attitude trickles down to all the lower staff members too.

I have only been seen once… my experience with the Dr was exceptional however the service from the front line team #awful… I was extremely disappointed with the way the individual who is responsible for making the appointments handled/​addressed me as I tried to make a new appointment to see my Dr… To tell the full story would take a while but to cut to the chase, she was not very helpful at communicating how the facility operates. She spoke to me as if I should already know… Point to note I am from another country which shouldn’t matter but she spoke to me as if I should know the procedures they follow, I wouldn’t because I do not work there… long story short… these are the people, the front line people, who make business bad for individuals who are exceptional at doing there part… I only wish I could keep the Dr but I could never pay my hard earned $$ to go to a health care facility where the people I first encounter do not know how to address the patients they claim to care for… sucks but their actions affect everyone… and the business as a whole!!!

I started coming here last year on a referral from a coworker when I missed my period. They scheduled me for my first visit within two weeks. Wished it were quicker but figured that’s just how it goes when it’s a good practice.
My first visit was with a nurse practitioner who was really nice and confirmed my pregnancy. Follow up visit with ultrasound was scheduled for two weeks later. Yes, they do ultrasounds in the office! Ultrasound tech was super nice. Told me I was carrying twins. Now when you are pregnant with twins you are in the office every month, sometimes multiple times. They urged me to visit each doctor before choosing who I wanted for delivery. So I saw every doctor. All were professional and kind. They each had their merits.
Scheduling was never a problem. They open at 7 am so I could go before work. Evenings fill up fast so they are very hard to get — especially if you need a doctor. No Saturday hours.
I ended up going into labor two weeks early and Dr. Kuhn was attending. GREAT DOCTOR! He met me at the hospital calm as a cucumber. Handled everything perfectly. Followed up with me many times after my emergency c-​section.
One thing to consider: this practice uses Capital Health in New Jersey. I did not like this hospital at all. Beautiful facilities but seriously lacking in staff. Wish they would go back to St. Mary’s instead.

I have had terrible experiences at the Center for Women’s Health. The staff is rude, both on the phone and in person. I could look past that, however, if my interactions with the practitioners were good and productive.
The practitioner I saw was quick to prescribe birth control without telling me any of the side effects — she told me there were none. I looked them up on my own, but at her strong urging, began to take them. I had a terrible response to them, and ended up with optic migraines. I gave the place the benefit of the doubt, because how could they have possibly known how my body was going to react to birth control?
I returned to the same practitioner, and she recommended that I try an IUD instead of birth control pills because I was very sensitive to estrogen. She kept pushing it, and when I asked what the side effects were, she again told me «none.» However, after my last experience, I decided to do a lot more research, and found out that there are a whole host of very common negative side effects associated with an IUD.
For both visits, my entire interactions with the practitioner were probably no more than five minutes. I barely I had time to tell her my problem before she prescribed something WITHOUT informing me of the side effects.
Needless to say, I would never recommend this place to anyone, and I will not be returning.

I am so surprised to see a terrible rating as well. This place is amazing in every way. I have been going here for about 15 years and I have NEVER encountered a rude staff member and have felt that they truly care about your health and well being. They usually never run behind but I haven’t waited more than 15 min. As soon as I read this review I had to step up for my first ever Unilocal review because I felt so strongly about it.
I have recommended everyone I know here and will continue to do so.

I’m not sure how ANYONE could possibly give The Center for Women’s Wellness a bad review.
Being from NY and having been blessed enough to have access to some of the absolute BEST health care providers in the world I can say the staff, nurses and doctors all measure up.
I have always been accommodated to, spoken to with respect, kindness and warmth. Not easy to find in a medical practice. And this has been consistently the case.
Every time I have need to adjust my appointment the scheduling staff has worked with me. Any time I have questions (as almost ALL first time moms do!) the OB nurse gets back to me in a timely manner.
And if you want to talk about timely– most recently I had to page one of the doctors on call off hours– I received a all back within minutes of leaving a message with the answering service. He was patient, friendly and reassuring over the phone.
Realistically– sometimes there is a wait. And more often than not the magazines are outdated. And do they have the news on tv and not something more light hearted? Usually. But when DON’T you wait for a doctor (oh– when they suck), and if I needed up today’s magazines I’d go to a news stand. These are literally the only negatives I have to say about this.
As an individual who lives a holistic, and primarily alternative medicine base lifestyle– to be so overwhelmed with appreciation for the opening mindedness, humanity, and kindness from a doctors office is almost unthinkable for me.
But here I am, hippie earth mama loving my western-​medical OB/​GYN doctors and nurses.
I would give them six stars if I could. Oh– and to make the whole lady-​part doctor experience less awkward/​horrifically uncomfortable, the florescent lights are covered with «sky panels» so you can pretend you are elsewhere. Pretttty awesome.
