Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

I grew up in New York on a dairy farm. My mother taught me how to knit and crochet. When I took sewing as a teen, I found I had a new talent. Eventually, I left sewing behind for going to college and raising a family. One day I received a sewing machine for Christmas. It had quilting attachments that I just had to try. I stayed up many hours sewing and cutting fabrics of many vibrant colors. Before long, I had my first two quilts for my twin nephews.

I then started buying and selling fabrics on line and a fellow quilter challenged me to open a shop. I took a leap of faith and now I have a growing business with plenty of quilting friends. I even discovered I have a talent to teach others and design my own patterns. Running a shop is lots of work, but it can be loads of fun as well.
