Signature Blue Events

My family and I had a horrible experience yesterday. I discovered this place because a friend of mine is recently married & had her bridal shower here. For my friends bridal shower, we were in room 220, upstairs. It was lovely. The place was very clean. Bathroom was nicely stocked. I was impressed. Fast forward to months later. It’s time for my aunts baby shower. She chooses this venue because people tell her great things. Word of mouth is something, isn’t it? We go into the space we rented. Room 120. First off, the young lady helping us was extremely rude. She kept telling us we’d «better» and «need to» have this & that done before 8. That did not sit well with me. I’ve worked in hospitality & service industry for years. From restaurants, to hotels, to event planning. Her attitude and tone were inexcusable. If she were my employee, she would not be working for my company. (I don’t know her name. She had braids and drove a red Chevy sedan.) After dealing with the rude young lady, we walk into the room and the smell of mildew just smacks us in the face. It smelled as if it flooded recently. It was horrible. I was shocked. The carpets were filthy. I wouldn’t even feel comfortable letting my dog roam around there on a normal day. But, the show must go on. My mom went and got some spray for the carpet and a big bag of plug ins to mask the smell. Everything’s ok now, right? WRONG! As we began to set up decorations and food, we spot bugs. All types of bugs. They were coming from cracks in the walls, hanging on the curtains. There were big ones, small ones, black ones, colorful ones, slimy ones, flying ones. It was like the discovery channel in there for a minute. I have plenty of pictures and video. In addition to having to purchase things to make the carpet smell, we had to also purchase bug spray and traps. I was in awe because I never expected this from Blue Signature. You spend money on a venue to avoid stuff like this, and I right? I’m looking forward to someone contacting me regarding this.
