At Wood’s we specialize in residential and commercial carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, stain removal, odor elimination in carpet and upholstery and general cleaning for property management, real estate service companies and landlords. We’ve been in business since 1991.

We at Wood’s use wet extraction (also known as steam cleaning). We DO NOT charge mileage fees. We employ the use of portable equipment for easy access to any place our customers need us to get to. Also, the fact we do not use large vans permits us to control our expenses so we can pass those savings on to our customers. Large vans in this business is for marketing more than quality carpet cleaning — size isn’t everything in this business: o).

If you decide to give Wood’s a go, we promise to work as hard as necessary to get your carpets and furniture as clean and fresh smelling as they can be given their age and use. We also promise to use only the safest yet most effective professional cleaning detergents.

History

Established in 1991.

My wife and myself began Wood’s Cleaning and Carpet Cleaning Service after years in sales. We had 5 young children at the time and decided we wanted to spend more time with them at home. We began by cleaning houses, then added carpet and upholstery cleaning. Since then my wife has taken a job elsewhere in a field she enjoys while I’ve continued running the business and doing the work. Yes, I, the owner of the business do the work myself, I’ve kept it small over the years to ensure I can dedicate my time to my committed, loyal customer base.

I am 54 years old (though I feel like I’m 35). I moved my family from Long Island, NY to Tucson Arizona in 1986 as I was transferred by the company I worked for, then was transferred again to Pennsylvania in 1990. When my employer wanted to transfer me yet again we (my family and myself) had decided Lancaster Pa was where we wanted to plant our roots and raise our family. I left my employer so my wife and I together with our five children could get about the journey of a settled life, and we’ve been here ever since. We’re glad we stayed!
