Good dj on Sunday nights, but drinks are really overpriced compared to all the other bars in town. I was charged $ 13 for a double Malibu rum and soda water… And $ 12 for a double well vodka and Sprite. Most bars in the city only charge $ 9 or less for a double of well liquor. Bartenders are nice though. But sadly the drink prices are a turn off.

Rendezvous Lounge is very good. We’ve dined here often over the years when we stay at the Marriott on business. There are plenty of other great dining options within walking distance, but we almost always have either breakfast, lunch, dinner or at least a cocktail at Rendezvous Lounge. The food is generally very good — including salads, lunch specials and steak. Today I had a salmon burger with ginger that was absolutely tasty with a delicious salad that included fresh strawberries. Unfortunately, my wife’s meal hit missed somehow so she was left waiting while the four of us are our lunches. I expressed my dissatisfaction with the manager, who not only apologized but discounted our meal by 25% and offered to get her something for the road since we were on a tight schedule. Mistakes happen, and it’s good when someone in charge proactively resolves them. Besides, a couple of us shared our meals with Linse and there was enough food that no one left hungry. The evening before, I broke a water glass. The server quickly took care of that issue for us. What goes around comes around. Four stars for good food and for making it right.

Regarding service: Sunday nights are a must-avoid. Weekdays have been mediocre as well.

We visited this restaurant no more than an hour or 2 ago. The waitress was really what made the night. We are staying at the Marriot hotel and this restaurant is in the lobby. After eating the waitress(either Christi or Christine) she sent up cookies cheese and milk on the house. She was amazing and made our trip to Lancaster 100% better. She deserves to be recognized. It’s servers that can make or break your night out and she definitely made the night.

Even they looked understaffed and the food took a little longer than it should’ve, it was so delicious and the staff so friendly, it didn’t matter. Great place!

Cool décor. Friendly service. Had drinks and apps late on a Friday night. The thick cut bacon was delicious!

I visited this place last year on their busy night: Sunday(Service Industry Night). I was surprised that even though the hotel is the nicest place to stay in Lancaster, the bar was packed full of the trashiest people Lancaster has to offer(then again classy people don’t go out drinking on a Sunday.) The all male bartenders provided fantastic service, if you happened to be a scantily clad woman; me like all the other guys waiting at the bar were left waiting for sloppily poured drinks for most of the night. The night ended in the classiest way possible, with a shooting. outside of Penn Square.

As a Lancaster County resident, the Rendezvous Lounge is one of my girlfriend and my favorite spots to visit when we’re downtown. Great atmosphere, friendly conversation, and great drinks. We usually make this one of our stops when we dine in the city.

I travel every week and this week my travels brought me to the Marriott at Penn Square in Lancaster, PA. The hotel was great but the highlight of the hotel is the Rendezvous Lounge. The atmosphere, the food and the staff at the Rendezvous are excellent. To add to the atmosphere was the music which I learned was actually streaming the bartenders iPod via Pandora Internet radio. This was music to my ears(pun intended). I believe that the good music can be as important as pairing wine or drinks with food and Ashley had it dialed in. While at the bar I ordered a Kettle One Martini with a lemon twist. The drink was delivered and look liked any other martini but then I took a drink. The martini was very smooth and the lemon twist was incredible. In fact it may have been the best Martini I ever had. If you are looking for a great atmosphere, great service and possibly the best Martini’s you’ll ever have then make it a point to visit Ashley at the Rendezvous lounge. I should mention something about the food since I did eat 3 meals there. Of course the Martini’s were a big draw but the food is equally good. Over the 3 nights that I dined at the Rendezvous Lounge I had roasted pears and Brie Quesadilla, Wedge Salad with thick cut bacon, Chesapeake Blue Crab Bisque, Central Market Salad with goat cheese and cranberries and their seared tuna. All of which were presented nicely and tasted wonderful. I recommend any of these small plates depending on what your in the mood for. I look forward to my return visit to the Marriott at Penn Square and the Rendezvous Lounge. I hope to hear Pandora, see Ashley and enjoy some of the other fabulous creations at the Rendezvous.
