Unbelievable. There is a reason there is always a line at breakfast. And be sure to come back some time for lunch, the burgers are amazing. This is as good as it gets.

We’ve driven past this place innumerable times and decided that we had better check it out. We were encouraged by all the«we’re #1» signs proclaiming their various accolades and awards. After eating there, all we can surmise is that Lancaster has a shortage of good breakfast spots. First off, if you are against hunting, this is not the place for you. Lots and lots of stuffed animals, all around the restaurant. This isn’t an issue for us, but we did have a few others… 1. Parking — the place was packed. I guess this means it is good, right? 2. Seat yourself — not a big fan of this at any restaurant esp. when they are this busy. I watched folks walk by families waiting in line to take slots that could have accommodated the family. Not cool. 3. Short staffed — one section of the restaurant was closed due to a shortage of waitstaff. I realize, this happens, but it was still frustrating to stand there looking at empty tables. 4. Waitstaff — The waitress who took our order(who was very nice) never came back. Food was delivered by someone else. Check was delivered by a third person. No one ever came back to check on us.(I’m still waiting for that 2nd glass of water). We finally got up and took our check to the register to keep things moving. 5. Food — scrambled eggs were dry, home fries under-cooked(crunchy potatoes are never good), bacon thin and under-cooked. Ham was very good as were the homemade BB muffin and the cinnamon-raisin bread. All in all, would not go back. If I want to be ignored by the waitstaff, I will go to Dinky’s where, at least, the food is good even if the service is not.

Was less than satisfied with breakfast, for a restaurant that had been voted #1 breakfast in town… They served me bread instead of toast, undercooked bacon(I like my bacon crispy) & undercooked, flavorless homefries. Seemed to me like they are more concerned with getting orders(& customers) out quickly rather than giving their customers a fully cooked meal & pleasurable dining experience. I was less than impressed. I most likely will not eat here ever again.

It’s seat yourself… busy when we went but got a seat within 10 minutes. Service wasn’t that great. My bf got one thing he ordered 15 minutes before I got my food. Then he got his second food item another 5 minutes after that. The Belgian waffle was super soggy. The atmosphere is fun but I found that to be the best part.

My wife and I ate at this restaurant while visiting relatives in the Clinton, MA area. It is a great country restaurant where it seems most patrons are regulars that frequent it for breakfast, lunch & dinner. My wife had a great tasting pastrami sandwich which she loved. I had the fish-n-chips. It was also very good, perfectly fried, golden and flaky. Very tasty. The service was also good. I do have two complaints about this place; the first is that the owner’s 2 or 3 year old son was left completely free to roam the restaurant. This day the kid was yelling and running back and forth with his yellow truck. We moved tables to get away from the kid, but that didn’t help as he just kept running & screaming. When we asked the sever to please tell the kid’s parents she informed us that it was the owners’ child, but they eventually got him to stop. My second complaint would be the temperature inside the establishment. It must have been 50 degrees! In order to be comfortable I had to put my winter jacket on. Overall a good value; I would definitely go back, but would hope the kid and the temperature are taken care of by then.

If you enjoy eating with dead animals around you, this is the place. I was looking for a breakfast place not a hunting lodge. I couldn’t enjoy my food due to excessive animal decorations. My steak was overcooked and the whole meal lacked flavor. Service was o.k. Staff was friendly.

I’m so confused with this rating, I’ve now tried this place 3 different times, and each time has been a bigger let down than the previous time. I don’t like putting up negative reviews, but I just don’t get the high rating here. I have gotten 3 different meals, all 3 were mediocre to poor. The final straw, was today, I asked what was the best meal I could get, I was told the«pulled pork» is the best choice I could make. I don’t want to censor myself on this page, that’s not who I am, my followers expect more from me… this was the shittiest breakfast I ever had in my life. Helen Keller would have made better food, the pulled pork tasted like the pig they killed had aids and was raped in the farmyard. It came with onions and the cook decided that meant 1 entire onion per omelette. Like for real, I pulled out a fucking onion from my breakfast. it was HORRIBLE. The lady who took my order was nice, she wasn’t hot, but she funny tho. She wanted me.100% DTF(definitely too fat) Like, for real here, how you fuck up breakfast? I see all these 5 star reviews, but I have been let down 3 separate times. This place is like picking up chicks at community college, no one really wants to, but you’ll do it cause its the only option… no other diner around, so they«win best breakfast». That’s like me bragging about the size of my junk in a room full of Asians. Oh, and can we talk about the fuckin’ home fries too? Raw potato, burned on one side, if I wanted the fuckin’ Harvey Dent of home fries, I would have asked for that shit… can I get some flippage in my life? Oh, and by the way… pulled pork usually has BBQ sauce on it or something, pull this shit together Michael, this place is fuckin’ amateur hour. 1 star for being friendly, –4 stars for food that tastes like it was cooked in a trash bucket.

I love this place! it’s the best spot to eat at for a nice breakfast. All the food is awesome and the staff are so sweet. It’s usually very crowded though so be prepared to have to wait for a table especially on the weekend. Oh also the ambiance is interesting and funny. In a good way!

The food here is constantly delicious. It’s always busy in here. It’s also one of the only places in the area that has decent made to order hollandaise. Yes there are stuffed taxidermy animals, but don’t let it turn you away. Wonderful wait staff as well.

We are visiting from Nevada and our daughter suggested this place for breakfast. The diner was nicely decorated and that’s where it ended. Our waitress was less than pleasant to say the least. When asked about if they had chicken fried steak she replied no in a snide tone. Then she added that they had chicken fried chicken but we’re out. We ordered our breakfast and half of it was delivered but we were told«your pancakes and toast are coming right up». That couldn’t have been further from the truth. Another lady dropped off pancakes for my granddaughter in a dead run. No toast. We had to flag down our waitress and ask for syrup, her reply«oh she didn’t get you syrup»? To which my granddaughter replied«no». After what seemed to be several minutes we had to flag same waitress down and ask«can we please have some syrup?» To which she replied«I asked her and she said no». When she came back with the syrup we inquired about our missing toast. When the toast did arrive my eggs were dead cold. When I sent it all back and requested that ALL of my food arrive hot the waitress had that deer in the headlights look acting like I’m a butthead expecting hot food. I would highly recommend blowing by this place and eating anywhere but here. Super snotty waitresses and even worse food. Really disappointed wish I could get my money back.

Food is good, sometimes takes a WHILE, waitresses are a bit rude and I have been ignored on more than one occasion. I will come here if it’s convenient but I wouldn’t go out of my way to go here. Also not many healthy options on the menu.

Basic diner food. Weird atmosphere with all the dead and stuffed animals all over the place. The hash is really tasty but, the pancakes are the stars here. Place is crazy busy on the weekends so be prepared to wait

Great food! We wish they were open for dinner . The Gravy and sausage is so good. The French dip! Eggs Florentine!

We love it here. The vibe and décor tend to ward off the liberals and other hoplophobics, which is nice. The staff, the food, everything is so well done. Do NOT skip the homemade corned beef hash; it alone is worth a drive. Same goes for the homemade apple cinnamon French toast.

Ok. Next one for my hash review. Because if you don’t know it by now. You should by now. Say my name. Come say it. I know you know my name. No not Hiesenberg. I am «the Hashman» Now they do have homemade hash here. I do it simple. Two eggs dropped on top. Try to crisp it a bit. This hash is good grade. Lots of meat just enough potatoes. Just missing a little bit more kick. Very good. A Hashman grade B

I’m obsessed with this place. I come here every time I’m over my boyfriend’s house since he lives down the street. Their breakfast sandwiches on a bulkie roll are heavenly, we always get the same thing every time. Only thing I didn’t like was the strawberry French Toast because they didn’t use fresh strawberries, only the syrupy kind. Service is great and the waitresses are super sweet.

If you’re an eggs benedict lover, oh my gosh, you should totally go here! I went here for breakfast and got the Irish style eggs benedict(comes with hash) and I pretty much dream about it now. Service was great, and the décor was very unique. Just make sure you and all members of your party don’t mind the busts of animals hanging on the walls and staring at you as you eat. I went on a Sunday during the brunch rush, and even then the wait was not too bad. People get in and out of there quite quickly.

Come early. This place can get busy… This is the family breakfast joint in Lancaster/Clinton. A true greasy spoon. My wife and I like the casual atmosphere but it can get crowded so plan a head. Also I like all of the stuffed animals around the place but some might be put off by it. I think it is a good place to eat in the morning.
