I had the most horrible customer service from Noemi, a manager. I tried to exchange an unopened package of loom bands(with a receipt) for a different color. Noemi tells me that she will exchange them, but I will be charged a higher price because they are not on sale anymore. Then Noemi says, «how is this on sale, I know loom bands never go on sale. Wow. So what is she trying to say to me? I’ve shopped at Michaels for years and have never had a problem until Noemi. I had to call customer service, and they call the store to tell her that I should get the bands at the sale price, to just do an exchange. When I go in the store a different manager comes out(Melissa) and I tell Melissa that I want Noemi to ring up the exchange so she won’t do this to another customer and to hopefully get an apology. Noemi only comes up front after she’s called twice. Noemi rang up the exchange and said in a really snotty voice ‘have a nice day’. So I said ‘that’s it, no apology for giving me incorrect information and implying that I’m doing something fraudulent’? So she says in a nasty voice, ‘Oh yes, I apologize’. Melissa(the other manager) was there the whole time and said nothing unless I addressed her specifically. Michael’s has the crappiest, untrained managers I have ever dealt with. How do you have a tag on that says you worked here 16 years, but don’t know the policies or how to do an exchange? I did receive great service from Ashley(telephone rep) who stayed with me on the phone through all of this. I wonder how many other people Noemi has ripped off. I’ll shop at Joanne’s from now on.

I love this place. They have a lot of handy stuff for people like me who enjoy cosplaying. I was able to make several pieces of my Harley Quinn costume from a few random items bout from here.

Don’t go to this Michael’s for your framing needs. The lady here(Naomi) can’t measure and gave me a mat that didn’t fit my frame. This was one of their frames with the measurements on the front — no reason she should have got this wrong. So when I took it home and noticed it waa wrong, I went back the next day to return it. Naomi was so rude. She told me she wasn’t going to return it because it was already cut. Yeah wrong by you. Then she said«well I know my measurements.» She took it back, but lost my business.

Michael’s is my go to place when it comes to crafts. I get my paint and brushes, canvas, yarn, and other little craft things for ideas that pop in my head. Its pretty easy to navigate the store, and the cashiers are always really friendly to me.

This place is pretty good. Sometimes they don’t have everything you look for, but more times than not the other michaels in Palmdale will. I just wish they would have more registers open than just the one commandeered by the lady that feels the need to overly chat with everyone she rings up

10 minutes to closing time last night, I was there to buy a $ 300 crafts printer made by Cricut: on special for $ 179-ish+Tax… While we are trying to decide what blade to get this tall skinny dude with curly hair and a red vest walks up to my wife and I while he signals his hands like he’s shoveling something out of his way he says, «hi, we’re closing so…» Upset now, I then replied in a disrespectful manner things I probably should not write here(you give respect to get some with me) how in the hell are you going to say that and make a gesture like your shoveling out the dogs shit from the drive way… I did not take this lightly. I however left with only one though, this review. I’ve shopped here for about a year now and the staff is always like«eh» attitude, the only two people in this store that look like they actually like people around is the Teacher«Chief Eric»(who my wife paid gracefully for baking classes and one of the other workers named«Rebecca» who is actually very nice to me. Who hires these little racist nerds who have absolutely no creative people skills!!! So many qualified unemployed workers running around begging for an $ 8hour job and they have this numb nuts TELLINGPEOPLETOLEAVE! instead of asking in a polite manner! How many businesses begin to fail because they have no idea their employees are incompetent… I digress. Good store with a bad apple.

I have been in this store several times and usually they have everything I need, but the last 2 times I’ve been in the store nothing. I do plastic canvas work and they didn’t have the round canvas I needed the first time so I had to drive to another store. Today I went back in and again I needed plastic canvas this time rectangles and they didn’t have them either, or the yarn I needed. This store seems to be out of a lot of items and claim they have nothing in the back that everything is put out on the shelves. I would rather save the headache and drive the 20 extra minutes to Palmdale where I know I can get what I’m looking for plus a lot more!!!

Love Love LOVE Michael’s stores, all over the place. This one has great selections! Just wish they had more help in the stores at ALL of the Michael’s stores I’ve been too.

The lines are obnoxious. Always. Always. Always. And I always struggle to find what I’m looking for — its never where I think it is going to be… I somehow manage to find it, usually after a few laps around the store… but it isn’t without some effort. Maybe I’m just looking for obscure items? What I DO enjoy is the constant sales. Everything I want is always 40 — 60% off. I’ll shut my mouth about not being able to find things, because once I do — they’re cheap! Hooray… so I load up my basket of arts and crafting goodies(the selection IS quite vast)… and then go stand in line for 20 minutes. Meh, whatever — a cart full o’ crafts for under $ 25? I’ll take it.

I am giving the store 3 stars. I do shop here a lot because it is a lot closer to me than the Joannes or the Michaels in Palmdale. Although I wish it were a Joannes instead of a Michaels, that is a different story. This store would get 5 stars, if not for one BIG thing. Why, whenever I go, is there only one cashier and 50 people in line? And what is more irritating, is I walk past 3 associates on my way to the register. I have worked retail for many years, and had there been a line, we would have jumped on register immediately. It was like they were the bosses and would rather do go backs than take care of the customers. Not to mention, how stressful for the cashier! It is really annoying. I also wish their cake boxes were put in the correct places and werent ripped and folded when I pulled them out. This would be a lot better! Store could use some management improvement, other than that it is great, thats why it gets A-Ok!

Large and clean, although they didn’t carry exactly what I was looking for, and seemed to be missing some items that I know the Michael’s from my old hometown carried. It was hard to find someone to help me, and the girl I did find didn’t seem as if she was very thrilled that I interrupted her standing around… plus it took about two minutes of standing at the register until someone finally came to check me out, which is why they only get three stars from me.

This particular Michael’s is great. Its huge, well-stocked, and well kept. They have a great selection of pretty much everything that the other locations have. Ive been to plenty of Michael’s because, well, let’s face it, I’m basically Martha Stewart’s protoge. I’m not a scrapbooker, but for all you scrapbookers, they have an extensive selection of scrapping materials. I was surprised that a store in Lancaster was this well kept, no offense to those living in Lancaster, but most places here are a got damn mess! Its rare to find a craft store up in the Antelope Valley, let alone one that looks like a midwest tornado didn’t go through the middle of the place. This is definitely a rare find.
