Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Dr. Mark Mewborne has been a resident of the Antelope Valley for most of his life. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of California, San Diego in 1979 and his Doctorate of Optometry with honors from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1983. After graduation he returned to Lancaster and has now been in practice for over 30 years. His office is located in the Arroyo Plaza Center and has received the Valley Press Best Optometrist award nine times. Dr. Mewborne is also active in the local theatre community as a board member of Cedar Street Theatre and as the director for the Westside School District’s children’s theatre group, Acme Acting Company. His wife and two of his daughters are elementary teachers locally and he is the proud «Papa» to five grandchildren.
