In-Shape: Lancaster East

Went in for my session with Keith, he was AWESOME. Got my butt kicked, but I feel great !
Very clean gym, friendly staff. I love it ! Can’t wait to continue my journey to weight loss with him as my personal trainer. Highly recommend this gym, Keith & Jessica as well, she’s awesome ! (:

I attended my free session with a trainer that I received for signing up with InShape… I will admit, I was skeptical that I would really accomplish anything as other gyms have just talked to me about my fitness goals and showed me a couple of machines and that was it but I thought what the heck I’ll try it… Boy was I wrong! I met with the fitness manager Keith and he thoroughly kicked my butt! I learned a few new exercises and almost lost my lunch! lol… I was very pleased with my session and really wish I could afford to continue training with Keith… I highly recommend anyone go to him if they are wanting to shock their bodies (in a good way) and gain knowledge… I was also very pleased with the gym itself. It has a very simple layout and a lot of options that will suite anyone’s fitness needs!

If I could give more stars I would. This gym is clean and the workers are friendly and fun. I am currently doing personal training, my trainer is Josh. He’s very straight forward and immediately starts working on what you want to work on for yourself and he makes sure that you get a good work out. I definitely recommend him to those who are serious about getting fit. If you’re looking for a new gym or just ready to start a new journey in your life to get fit make sure to check this place out.

First time we went the two young ladies working were not very welcoming or inviting, even rolling their eyes when we tried to ask some questions. Upon going the next morning the manager was extremely welcoming! He even gave free 7 day passes & apologized for the behavior of the other employees.
Equipment is nice & well taken care of, only downside is the other clients sometimes take too long on the machines (not using them but on their phones instead).

I had an issue with this gym, but they fixed it so now I’m ok.

Great addition to east Lancaster, I’m glad to have it so close to home. The gym is nice, clean and Zumba class is my new favorite thing. Rob hooked me up with a great deal. Plus, I love the fact its not crowded!

Let me start by saying that I never tried out the gym, but I went in for a quote was given a seven day pass which I assumed since not told other wise was good from start of use. Went out town came back to try the trial period and that’s when the issues started.
I spoke with the manager that’s who I was first given to explained to him that I didn’t want to start and not be able to complete the 7 days so figured I would do it when back from vacation he takes my pass adds another sticker to it, which was to extend the 7days tells me were not faqsuppose to reissue of it hasn’t been 6 months, walks out to talk with the original sales person I spoke with comes back says he has and appointment so he’s gonna hand me down to another consultant and hands him the pass, he doesn’t even know why so once again I explain what happened to another person this is the 3^rd person now and he now goes and talks with my original consultant to figure out what he is suppose to do and the manager walks over to them to have a pow wow and he walks back over to me to explain he can let me work out today but that the pass is expired and they can’t reissue for 6 months. So it takes me talking to 3 people to be advised this the manager could of said that from the beginning why pass me to someone else. I was so irritated I didn’t even wanna use the one free day obviously they care more about a contract that earning a HAPPY customer. Its not that serious A) the pass is expired and can not be reissued for 6 months sorry about that.

this gym is right down the street from my house I can walk there when ever… so I work out 5 times a week and see my trainer Jenny valladares 2 times a month and love seeing her every month she is everything I wanted in a trainer she kicks my Butt and with out her I don’t know what I would do. with her help I have lost 11 LBS in 3 months so if you want a great trainer go visit Jenny valladares.

I really like the atmosphere. There’s never to many people, I’m never waiting for equipment. Also, the people there are there to work out. Not pick up, not to socialize but to get down to working hard. Now my trainer Dorian may look like my 16 year old son but he shows no mercy. Which I like, he pushes me and doesn’t allow me to quit. It’s a love hate relationship, more hate than love right now. Lol!

So I live within walking distance of the Palmdale West location which I guess is considered my ‘home gym’ but since this location has opened, I have found it much more convenient to hit this gym straight out of work so that I don’t have time in between picking up my son and driving to Palmdale to decide whether or not I am going to take my fatness to the gym or not.
Some familiar faces that I’ve had positive experiences with from the Palmdale location are now working here too. Go see Red when you sign up and fitness manager Mervin!
Prior to this location opening up I signed up for the membership that allows me to visit other locations so I have to put to use what I am paying for! #NahMeanNahmSayin
They offer more classes at the Palmdale location… Classes that my fat gut hasn’t attended in months but surely worth checking out and they have a kids club, which is convenient. The girls there are always nice and sweet and good with my son. so I would recommend signing up for the membership that allows you to visit all the locations.
I initially signed up for training sessions as well in Palmdale with Garrett and then Alejandro who were both awesome and a pleasure to workout with, but because of my schedule and convenience of location, with the help of swervin Mervin and Taylor, one of the other fitness managers, I was able to switch my training sessions to East Lancas.
My new trainer is Lance. I was hoping I wasn’t going to regret switching my training sessions here because Alex was awesome and fun to workout with but I can gladly say that so far I don’t regret it. I’ve worked out 3 times with him now and I can say I’ve been pleased each time. I’m trying to get my fatness back in check and he has been awesome so far. He totally makes my fat cry. I dig it and he is very professional and knowledgeable. He answers all my questions and seems to handle my semi retarded/​goofy personality pretty well. I thought I was going to be a bit much for him, which I probably am, but he does a great job at keeping it professional. So far, anyway… hopefully I didn’t speak too soon and come next week, he dropped me as a client because I was too annoying and then I’ll have to update my review. Womp womp. lol
But really. Go, now, hurry and ask for the people I’ve mentioned because it can be a hit or miss with some of their staff. Sometimes they’re friendly. sometimes they can stare at you like a dear in headlights when you ask them something. So I can only speak for the ones I’ve actually dealt with.
