Food is always great at any of the locations. I always pay attention to the service. I wasn’t disappointed. The service was great and friendly even though the restaurant was packed.

I came here for the last time. Tried to give this place another try but it’s I give up. Not good food, maybe you get what you pay for. The waitress was aces, the only smiling one of the ones working the other evening.

Food is amazing. Service was lousy and outright awkward. If you love comfort food this is the place to go while on the road but pray that your server is less creepy and useless as ours was. I recommend the biscuits and French toast with apple cider.

Ate here in August 9 at 2 P.M. The place was crowded and had to wait a few minutes to sit down. When we were seated they didn’t give us menus, I had to walk to the front to get them. It then took about 15 minutes to take our order. Well 30 minutes later the manger came to the table and said that the chicken for the salad was frozen. It would take time before it was ready. He offered to give me my food. I said I would wait. The server gave me my food anyway. He said the plate was ready and he didn’t want to serve it cold. It took about 10 minutes for the salad that my wife ordered to be served. The food was good, would have been better if it was served hotter. I will try this place one more time, seemed like they didn’t have enough servers to keep up with the amount of patrons!

I don’t get why this location has such bad reviews. My family and I were seated within 15 minutes, the food came very quickly(and was very delicious), and the service was incredible; our waiter came every few minutes to see how we were doing and was extremely kind.

Went there last week on a Sunday around 11 am. 25 minute wait just to get in. Then another half hour waiting on our food. If you are a fan of big portions don’t come here.

Love cracker barrel and everything about it! You know the food. Creamy, homestyle comfort food. The dumplings are my absolute favorite. The prices are amazing to me(coming from NYC) I love a place with tons of side dish options and this place has em! Wish they had some of these where I live… although I would probably weigh a lot more.

If I could give this 0 stars I would, especially for the fact that cracker barrels restaurant website complaint area doesn’t even work! Surprise!!! I first got there waiting for my grandparents to show up and they were on a wait which is typical for a Sunday afternoon. The host was very friendly and nice. But coming from a serving background our service was horrible. Extremely slow, everyone got their food before we did and were seated after us. We didn’t even have a complicated order. We only got one drink and had to track down our waitress for a refill. When we asked when our food was coming out we were told 10 minutes. Well that 10 minutes went by. And we asked again and they said another ten minutes. At this point we were ready to leave and go someplace else. After the manager came over and assured us that our food would be out soon(which again how soon is soon) we decided there was no point in leaving. Until again we got no refills and had to track down our waitress. I will never come to this location again! Especially because all the other tables around us had issues as well. Ridiculous service. Oh and to top it off, we got no apology and when I asked about taking something off the bill it seemed like a hassle for them so I didn’t even bother.

I don’t know where else you can get so much food for a cheap price and it’s pretty good quality. The server is also welcoming.

Went to brunch @ Cracker Barrel today. After waiting 20 minutes for our meal it finally arrived. I ordered Momma’s pancake breakfast with 2 eggs & turkey sausage … The sausage was warm & Burnt… But that was ok. I ate one . I started on the pancakes & felt something In my mouth, it was 2 apple pieces? Called the waitress over, she took it away . Here comes the manager. Long story short, he winds up taking ½ the breakfast off? Can you imagine?

I went to this cracker barrel on Friday June 12th. We were seated right away, however I noticed that people that came in after us were served there food before us. After about 30 minutes, I asked for a manager, but instead our food came out. After we finished our meal, then the manager appeared, apologized for the delay, and gave us free dessert. The food was ok, but the service was the pits!!!

It’s not exactly my kind of food because I was looking for vegetarian options and 90% of the menu is meat… :D However, I give it four stars for the service, interior décor, value, and hearty portions. While the hostess who greeted us was kind of rude(not even ushering us into our seats until we made mention) and lacked a smile, the waitress’ friendly demeanor made up for it. Ordered a vegetarian platter with mac and cheese, fried okra, brown pilaf rice(this is delicious, by the way, recommended!), and baked sweet potato which came with a side of corn muffins. My friend got the same platter but with a side of biscuits. The biscuits and corn muffins are rather bland. However, the rest of the platter was healthy and well-balanced nutritionally. The restaurant was very packed. The gift shop and interior ornated décor is a plus, giving you plenty to entertain yourself while waiting.

Had a very dissapointing experience. Place was not crowded and it took us 30 minutes to be served. To add insult to injury 7 customers behind us were served first. One couple got up and left in disgust. Waitress was inattentive. Had to practically beg for a few biscuits to hold us over while we waited to be served. I will say that I believe this was an aberration as we h ave eaten here numerous times and have never had a bad experience. To their credit, management comped our meals.

The people working there are now all great. My only issue is with the still dirty bathrooms. Otherwise, the food has been very good the past few times we have eaten here, and we have not had any issues.

Cannot say enough great things about this place. Thank God I don’t live in Lancaster or else I’d be eating here at least twice a week. The ambiance is very country and inviting. Depending on when you go the wait time is anywhere from 10 – 30 minutes. You walk through to shop to get to the restaurant so you can kill time browsing at trinkets, sales items, candy, all sorts of random awesomeness can be found :) Definitely stop by a Cracker Barrel when you get a chance, this one just happens to have extremely friendly employees, clean facilities and is my favorite.

My wife and I come here every year the day we travel home to New York from our annual trip to Lancaster. We like Cracker Barrel simply because we don’t have any near us back home. On this trip we were seated immediately and our waitress took our order quickly. My wife loves the apple streusel french toast so she had her mind made up before she sat down at the table. Having had a pancake the size of a manhole cover at Jeanie’s Diner the previous day, I opted for the regular french toast. The food was great. It’s always good to start a four hour drive back home on a full stomach. Cracker Barrel always sees that we leave that way each and every year. Now I just have to figure out a way to get my wife through their gift shop quickly. :)

As a kid Cracker Barrel was a standard stop while traveling. The food was good as was the down home service. We had been to the location a few times, but it has been a number of years. After some shopping we stopped for a quick dinner. The wait was only 25 minutes, which is Lancaster is a short wait. Server was attentive, if not a bit overfriendly. Order was taken, then the experience want down hill. The wife and I were enjoying a nice talk so didn’t really notice the .long wait until I realized that we had not received our drinks yet. I am always thirsty so this matters to me. Finally received our drinks then want back to waiting. After another 25 minutes the Manager came to the table to inform my wife that the were out of meatloaf, which was one of the three items on her sample platter. She was offered more chicken and dumplings or ham… I guess you don’t plan on making meatloaf on a Sunday at 5:30. Another 20 minute wait for our food to arrive. No biscuits or cornbread muffins until we were ½ way thru our meal. Also, the extra ham that was to come took another 10 minutes. The ham slice was smaller then you would get with breakfast at a greasy spoon. Was ask for refills which took two more request and 15 minutes. My catfish was approaching undercooked, the ham was nothing special and the chicken and dumplings were bland and under seasoned. No one offered a few dollars off or a comp’ed dessert. Granted it is prim tourist season here in Lancaster and the blue hairs are everywhere, but this was a disappointing meal. I guess this is just another strike against chain restaurants… going to stick with small, locally owned spots that don’t but from Sysco and attempt to churn out below average, generic attempts at feeding the masses.

Just went here today at 7pm with the whole family. Unfortunately, this was the worst experience I have had at a Cracker Barrel. After getting seated, someone in our family opened their silverware which was wrapped in the napkin to find some roasted, burnt food on the knife. Forgot to take a picture of it. First negative. Then they took about 20 minutes to get a waiter to ask if we needed something to drink and what we wanted to order. Then we ordered. After ordering I looked down from where I was sitting to find the baseboard hearer dismantled with wires exposed and a plethora of crumbs, food, wrapper etc inside of it. It was gross to see.(Pictures attached.) Then the waitress came out 10 minutes later to tell us they don’t have Mac ‘n Cheese anymore. So we ordered pancakes instead for one of the kids. Another minutes later, she came out again to tell us they don’t have the Oven Roasted Chicken anymore. Don’t know why it took so long for them to find that out. Everyone else’s food came out and was almost ok, but definitely the worst of the dozens of times I have been to Cracker Barrel. 5 mins later, the waitress comes out and says they do happen to have Mac n cheese. So we said we want that. But they also bring out the pancakes. We told them we ordered the pancakes for the kid if there was no Mac n cheese(the kid loves Mac n cheese). So they had to take back the pancakes. When we got our receipt, they still had the Oven Roasted Chicken they ran out of. So we had to wait for that to be changed again. We didn’t make a big scene at the CB. Te waitress was nice enough, which is why I didn’t give it 1 star, but may not have had enough help at the restaurant. May be the fault of the manager as they seemed understaffed and the place wasn’t very clean. The experience really had all of us decide not to go to Cracker Barrel ever again. That’s how mediocre and, in some cases bad, the food tasted and how terrible the service and ambience /cleanliness was. Hopefully, this Cracker Barrel cleans its act and restaurant up!

I had fond memory of Cracker Barrel from a few years ago. The place takes me back to childhood and into the candy store with a galore of taffies and chocolates that’ll make my 10yo self chuckle and do skips. Remember WHACHAMACALLIT? Heaven. Fast forward to present time: the happy store is still there and the biscuits are as good as I remember. Service was genial. The servings are humungous. Their cheese hash was delicious. Unfortunately, I didn’t like how they scrambled their eggs– it’s beaten but pan-fried and folded over… and I little overcooked. The sausage and bacon was a little dry. Overall, I was a little underwhelmed with this visit, but I hope it’s just an off day.

Well, unfortunately, I do have to make an update here, and its not a good one. This morning, I went out for breakfast there again, I got the, I guess it was the double meat breakfast, it has bacon, sausage, eggs, grits and biscuits with their sawmill gravy. Well, it was good, but the sausage patties tasted off a bit. As well, I wasn’t offered a refill on my drink. Well, an hour later, I started feeling sick in the stomach, I think it might have been the sausage. So I dunno if I’m gonna return to this location yet. I mean, I love the food, but no refill and food poisoning? Yeah, I’m gonna take this one off my list for a while.
