We specialize in helping organizations maximize their use of Human Resources through assessment for hiring and development of employees, increasing engagement and effectiveness, team building, coaching /mentoring individuals in the organization and humane termination and career transition.
We coach individuals in effective job search techniques so that they can find the right match as quickly as possible. This includes understanding an individuals life goals, assessing their strengths and weaknesses, creating a job search strategy, putting together a winning resume, techniques in reaching decision makers, interview practice and support through negotiations. These services are the same as those provided through outplacement.
History
Established in 1992.
Transition Management Associations was founded in 1992 to help organizations and individuals maximize their effectiveness in the workplace. Our first client was a community bank that was losing money and needing an improvement in their use of their Human Resources. We helped turn the bank back to profitability
While our first client was a bank we have worked with many industries including specialty chemicals, insurance, healthcare, government, plastics, software development and others
Since that time we have done several major projects with hospitals and other healthcare organizations (private practices) including Mission Statement Development, Executive Coaching, Career Development, Assessments for Hiring and Development, HIPAA and Effective Communication Workshops, Strategic Customer Service and providing Coaching for Career Transition.
Have provided consulting to government organizations in career development for school to work /welfare to work programs and improved effectiveness

Larry Finkelstein is Founder and President of Transition Management Associates (TMA), a Human Resource Consulting firm headquartered in Lambertville, New Jersey. TMA has worked with many industries in improving organizational effectiveness through matching people’s strengths to organizational needs, Team Building, developing Career Plans, Succession Planning, and training in Leadership and Management Skills.
As President of TMA, Larry has worked with hundreds of people looking for career help, at all levels (hourly employees to CEO’s) and stages (from students through retirement age). Larry has consulted to Fortune 500 organizations, small and medium sized businesses, Workforce Investment Boards/JTPA’s, high school and college students, welfare clients and people who are transitioning to retirement.
Larry is a Licensed Professional Counselor who makes use of his expertise in behavioral health to improve motivation and communication.
