The Doughnut Pantry is a simple and charming shop with loads to offer! I brought my girlfriend here for a breakfast date, and it was excellent! The staff was friendly, the donuts were delectable, and the price was almost too good to be true! HIGHLYRECOMMENDED spot for all your donut and coffee/hot chocolate needs!

Very nice family place! Very delicious donuts! My favorite donut there is their jelly donuts! They are so yummy! Very inexpensive and I prefer their donuts over chains like dunkin donuts. Friendly service and if you have never been, it’s time u head over there!

Found this shop near the hockey rink and we were thrilled! Delicious and homemade on premises everyday. Family business for 3 generations, truly amazing donut holes, muffins, donuts and pastries. Very reasonable prices. In fact, too cheap! Do not miss this place!

One of the best spots to get donuts in Cleveland. Their donuts and baked goods are crazy cheap and good quality. They sell so many it’s always fresh.

I like Dunkin Donuts and Krispy Kreme plenty, but it’s nice to find independent donut shops still exist. They have a pretty large selection of donuts. I had a lemon-filled, which is one of my favorites, and it was as good as I’ve had anywhere. Like most donut shops, it’s inexpensive and a coffee and donut will only cost you a couple dollars. My only real gripe(s) are not even related to the food itself: 1) No Wi-Fi… pretty standard feature of most other donut shops… Maybe I’m just being nitpicky because my mom doesn’t have Internet so I rely on Wi-Fi at eateries when I’m in town visiting 2) The seating is all at a counter around the perimeter of the shop, there are no actual tables. A few tables in the center of the shop would be nice.

Best donuts on the West Side! Made fresh every day! Fluffy, light and delicious. A Lakewood neighborhood favorite spot for young and old alike! Discounts for bulk purchases. Our church orders every Sunday for our coffee and donuts fellowship and rarely do we ever have a one left over! Great prices and great services!

I just picked up two delicious doughnuts and a large coffee for three dollars. This place is a family style doughnut shop as opposed to the new breed of gourmet style shop so the choices are traditional but the chocolate cake and maple cream were on point. Pretty standard coffee so mission accomplished. I may be back tomorrow morning.

They now accept credit cards! Purchases under $ 3 are charged an extra $.50, but WORTHIT. The donuts are as amazing as ever, and the employees are wonderful. Still love The Doughnut Pantry.

I was always kind of sketched out by this place… until I went inside and got a whiff of sugar and a view of soft, yet crispy, doughnuts.(I usually spell them as «donuts» but out of respect for the name of the shop, I’ll add the extra letters.) The people inside weren’t so friendly, but who really cares? It’s not like we were sticking around. You have to have at least a little bit of curmudgeon in you to work at a doughnut shop, I think.

Really love this place! I recently moved close to it and no longer had a reason to ignore it. We now skip Dunkin and get our goodies from the Doughnut Pantry. Definitely a no-frills type of place, but all I want is a good donut, so who cares. Cash only is a bit of a hinderance but the price is definitely right($ 7.50 for a dozen). They mostly just carry the basics but they do them well. Excellent handmade donuts. Go there!

The other reviews(sorry fellow Unilocalers) left me pretty uninspired to write mine. Till I read PW’s. That dude can write a review. I’ve been a long time fan. So I live two blocks away from Doughnut Pantry. Been here seven years. This was the first time I visited. «Why is that?» you say as you pour more Jim Beam into your work coffee mug in your cube. Well, the reason is Dunkin Donuts. One on Detroit and one on Lorain. Whenever I’m craving donut, my primeval cave brain just goes all pink and orange and next thing you know I’m there. Buying a dozen gimmicky donuts(state of the union blue and red sprinkles, superbowl nacho cheez filled, w-2 red ink icing) in that shiny Sephora of bleary eyed morning zombies. Then later I’m walking the dog on Madison and notice the Pantry. Dammit, why didn’t I go there? Because you’re stupid and lazy. Sorry, got lost in a conversation with myself. So this scenario has played out countless times now. Had to put a stop to it. The Pantry is the anti Dunkin. No frills. No fancy signage, cute boxes, cute employee aprons, or «wi fi», whatever that is. Just the dough, coffee and old men hanging out in the corner gambling or something. Basic varieties: glazed, éclair, jelly, maple. The meat and potatoes of morning pastry. Dozen for $ 7.50. Good price. Fast service. Now you hang out at Dunkin and the scenery is great. Beck center, churches, rta rolling by, hip kids on bikes. You hang out on Madison, you see gas station, ugly tenement building, weird dude walking his dog ogling the sexy mannequins in the window of the Mission. Opposites of the crème filled spectrum. Going to make a conscious effort to come back and stay out of that other soulless corporate whorehouse.

The Donut Pantry is a great treat. The service was fast and friendly, and the donuts were delicious. The ambiance leaves something to be desired(it’s stuck in the 70’s), but it’s clean and nice. This place definitely has something going for it when they can compete against not one but two Dunkin’ Donuts chains that are also in Lakewood. I was a little underwhelmed by the creativity of the flavor selection(after seeing some crazy concoctions that other donut shops on cooking tv shows had come up with), but this place isn’t trying to be a gourmet donut shop. It’s focused on the classics, and does a great job at it.

Good doughnuts, moist and flavorful. Really liked the sour cream doughnuts and the chocolate doughnuts. The glazed was ok but the others were great. And it was reasonably priced. I think the doughnut holes were 15 cent each.

I thought this was a pretty solid doughnut place. It’s not really somewhere that you find anything insanely unique but they do the classics very well! Also: Cash only, so bear that in mind. The hours are a little restricting but I suppose I don’t NEED dougnuts at all hours of the day. I’m just used to a doughnut place I used to live by that was open late at night so I could get an evening snack!

I don’t really know why I was stingy with the stars the first time around. I love the Doughnut Pantry and I’m not afraid to shout it! The people here are very nice, efficient and friendly. They’ll get you in and out in a hurry and they’ll remember how you take your coffee if you’re in there often. Donuts always fresh, good coffee and good service. Really what more could you want? Nothing. 5 stars.

One of my favorite doughnut shops! I normally hate cake doughnuts since they are so dry but I love them at the Doughnut Pantry. The sour cream doughnuts are so crispy crunchy on the outside but light and moist on the inside. With a light sprinkling of powdered sugar, it’s just sweet enough. The chocolate cake doughnut taste like a light moist chocolate cake. It has a very light glaze which adds a touch of sweetness. I still like my overly sugary sweet Krispy Kreme glazed doughnuts every so often, but when I want a real doughnut, I go to the Doughnut Pantry. Their glazed doughnuts and jelly doughnuts are also yummy. You really can’t go wrong.

I have always enjoyed the donuts from the Pantry. One night, when I was about 17 years old, my friends and I were at BP to fill up the station wagon. We saw a van behind the Doughnut Pantry late at night, with the engine running. I don’t know who or what made us think this was odd or shady but someone suggested that maybe there was an abduction going on and someone could be in need of our help. I don’t know what stoner dreamed that up or why we all thought this could be true. My friend volunteered to sneak up to the van and check it out. Actually, probably because it looked like a rapist van and who the hell really knows what was going on in our minds at that time. So he ran up to the van, a guy jumped out and chased him. I guess he was the guy who gets there really early to make donuts and thought my friend was trying to steal the van.

What else could you want in a donut shop other then great donuts. You’ll find them here. Obviously hand made in the store from start to finish. They have some imagination… They’re not all the same filling in the fruit filled and the glazed were light and airy. I didn’t have any of the cake variety but if they are as good as the yeast ones, they’ll be delightful too.

The best doughnut place in all of Cleveland! The doughnuts are hand made overnight by the owner, and they have a huge selection. Very tasty fillings and full of oh-so-sugary goodness. To top it off, it’s cheaper than all the chains too.
