Established in 1998.

Odai and Baskar started Tamil Padam in 1998 with the goal of bringing the Tamil Community their favorite form of nostalgic entertainment from back home — MOVIES. We have been helped in this effort by fellow competing screeners to make movie going a regular form of entertainment here in the movie Mecca of the world LOS ANGELES.

Born and raised in Madurai. Movies were the sole form of popular entertainment for the masses through the 1980s and that passion carried over to the US. Now regular movie going has become a reality for Tamils in Southern California and am grateful that I can be of service to the community
