Ronin Termite and Pest Control

I’ll keep this brief.
Steve smith came to my home yesterday. He called before, arrived during the window of time and he took care of my issue with the utmost of professionalism.
Couldn’t ask for more.
Well done.

Although I did make it all the way to having a service: I called Ronin, to talk about the mouse problem we are having, I talked to a receptionist/​customer service rep. She told me we would need a consultation and that she was going to figure out the availability of the technician and call me back. That was 3 days ago. When/​If they call me back I will update my review.

Today I had Steven from ronin pest control come over and inspect our home for a few pest issues we were dealing with. We had roaches in our kitchen and an electrician that had went in our attic said he saw a couple of rat droppings. We had another company come out and inspect the attic and said we needed to remove and replace insulation and clean/​sanitize the attic and his quote was $ 4100! That just didn’t sound right so I found these guys on Unilocal and scheduled an appointment. Steven was on time, courteous and a genuinely nice guy. He inspected our attic and determined that the problem was not severe at all and even took a video just to prove it. Talk about honesty! He didn’t try to scare us so he could get money out of us like the other company did and for that reason I decided to go with this company. He set up traps in the attic, vacuumed up what little droppings there were and also treated for the roaches we had for about a tenth of the price the other company wanted! I am truly grateful that I found this company because they were honest, reliable and such a pleasure to work with. I will definitely be using them again for any other pest issue I may encounter and of course recommend them without hesitating. Thanks again Steven and company!

I had an appointment for someone to come out to do a termite inspection today between 11am and 2pm. It is now after 4pm and they haven’t shown or called.
Update: Since the missed appointment, they have made a very sincere effort to make up for the mistake. They have offered discounts and also sent a Starbuck’s gift card. While it turned out that we didn’t end up needing service this time around, we will consider calling Ronin next time to give them a second chance. Thanks!

Chris is the guy that came to my house. We have a cockroach problem and he was able to diagnose properly where it is coming from. He is very professional, he called before he was about to come to my house. The office staff was also very helpful to me. I highly recommend this company.

Very friendly, nice guys. They were set to arrive between 9 and 11, and got to the house a few minutes before 9. They were through and helpful!

The techs that actually come to our house are always thorough and professional, but the office staff seems to always mess up. I’ve had a late payment because they didn’t use the pre-​arranged reference card on file, I’ve had a tech show up when I didn’t expect them, I’ve had a tech not show up when I had an appt, they set me up for the second Saturday when I asked for the 15^th of every month, and they never call the day before to confirm. I don’t plan on renewing my monthly service contract, mostly based on the disorganization (also because we don’t need the service as much anymore).
Update: Our tech today was totally customer service oriented and very friendly. I’ve never been disappointed with the techs themselves or the actual service. I’m really more annoyed with the (I’m assuming) office disorganization.

Unfortunately 1 month ago, my husband and I heard the sounds of a little critter running around in our attic. The next morning we checked the perimeter of our house and discovered droppings. The rodent (s) found a way in from a small vent opening to the attic; we set some big, old fashioned rat traps. The next couple of days, we found the traps were set off but no catch; couldn’t believe it. So we started to search out professional help. The 1^st 2 companies were green environment (?) and SOS. First impressions, both these technicians showed up with ladders wearing a wife beater tank and t shirt; nothing identifying their company. (Hmm, should we let them in was my 1^st thought). Both poked their heads in the attic, said there were a lot of droppings and they could see the hole where they were getting in. The perimeter and garage check were very quick and not too thorough. Both these companies recommended the same thing; because we have blown in insulation, have it sucked out because the rodents burrow, you can’t see what damage they can cause, don’t know how many; seal all the holes, lay out roll insulation, etc., etc. The quotes were $ 3572 to $ 4600!!! One of our neighbors used green environmental, they got rid of the rats, but was never able to get them to come back for any follow-​up service; did not recommend them
Ronin was the last, the technician came dressed in a shirt identifying the company. He looked up in the attic, saw some droppings but not a lot like the other 2 expressed; he was very thorough in checking the garage and the outside of the house. His recommendation was to set traps (snap and sticky) in various places: garage, attic, and side of house where droppings were noticed on the eaves and ground, and strapped a bait station trap on the chain link fence. He’d be back in 2 days to check. This cost us $ 250.
The next morning, we were hoping and anticipating a few catches.; noticed there was one trap missing from the eave, we found the catch in the rain gutter. None of the other traps were set off. My husband sealed pipe openings in the garage, and replaced the vent mesh on the outside. Day 2 — checked all the traps, nothing; not even in the attic. The technician came back, rechecked all the traps, reset if needed. Next follow up appointment 1 month; 3 weeks later, still no other droppings or catches — phew! We were really fortunate there was only 1. We are so glad we called Ronin to help us with this issue, otherwise we would’ve been out a few thousand dollars. We highly recommend this company. Ronin has solved our pest control need. Thirty years in the restaurant industry and no room for inferior service, we rely on Ronin to insure we are pest free. We have been serviced by leaders in the pest control industry, but have at times been failed by the service team. Ronin is the service leader that we can honestly recommend. They are prompt, professional, and reasonably priced. Go with Ronin!

After getting four estimates, I went with Ronin for a tent fumigation of my home (for termites). They were professional and reasonably priced (comparatively because it is a big expense).
I learned about the company from Unilocal and had a positive experience.
The one tip is make sure you get a realistic time commitment for when the fume tent will be taken off and you can reenter the home. My time was set for AM. but it didn’t happen until the afternoon. BUT, before putting on the tent, the serviceman checked my fridge and double-​bagged and sealed the food I had totally forgotten so THANK YOU!!!

Used their services lately and Im super satisfied. perfect costumer service and professional technicians. I will recommend them without a doubt.

I had an awful ant infestation and I decided to give ronin pest control a call. They were very helpful over the phone and in person as well. The second guy who came I believe his name was Cody, was very informative he explained why it was happening and what he was doing to get rid of them. I am definitely going back with them for any other pest control needs I might need in the future and I will for sure ask for cody.

Fantastic customer service, they saved me from a neighbor that had mice and roaches. The service man Steven was excellent, he was polite, quick and very helpful. I would gladly call them again and recommend them to family and friends!!!

I have Ronin doing my regular monthly service for my house. The technician is very professional and efficient, he sprays the outside for those horrid ants that seem to infest my house during the summer, as well as the spiders by the bushes. Every time I call the office, I get great customer service, the staff is very friendly!
