Men’s Cuts

I had my hair cut a couple times at Men’s Cuts and really wanted to like it. In fact, as a barbershop it has some really nice features. First, if you go during a non-​peak time they seem to try to fit you in without an appointment. Next, if you do choose a busy time scheduling can be done easily online. Finally, the stylist was all the times I went very friendly and who can pass up a hot, essential oil scented washcloth as your hair is being washed? So, you see why I really wanted to like this place and I gave it another chance.
The first time I went they missed a quarter-​sized patch of hair behind my ear. The hair was about an inch long and I had to clean it up at home on my own. The second time I went they did the fade from short sides to longer top unevenly so the hair on my right side stuck out noticeably. Will I try again? Probably not.

You can take my opinion however you’d like to – but this barber shop gets 5 stars from me.
Why? You’re right. I don’t get my hair cut here. BUT they’re one of the only places in Lakewood that carries Layrite Pomade products. Plus they charge about ½ the price that my salon does on the east side. And really… guys are using this. What CLE-​area guy is going to spend $ 30 on pomade? Men’s Cuts only charges $ 17, and I can totally see myself just picking up here for my man on a regular basis.
Also, the inside is totally clean, updated and looks like a decent spot to stop and get barber shop pampering, if you’re a guy.
Lastly, when I stopped in today to pick up some Layrite Pomade for my guy, the owner helped me and she was really nice. She took the time to chat with me a bit and helped me figure out which one would be the best. If that’s the kind of service you get for just stopping in to buy products, imagine what it’s like when you’re actually getting services done.
