Lakewood Dental Arts

This is an odd dental experience. When I called to make an appointment to see the dentist, that’s all it was: sitting in a chair, have the dentist walk in, look at my xrays, and tell me everything looks good, we’ll do this again in a year. I didn’t receive a cleaning, I had to make an appointment for 3 months later to get a cleaning. The cleaning went well, the staff was nice, but I couldn’t make an appointment for 6 months from then, I had to call in 3 months to get an appointment 3 months from then… too much work, too assembly line, I prefer a more «personal» experience where you can make appointments at your appointment. A place where when you call to make an appointment, they know that you need a cleaning too.

I had higher expectations for this office than the experience I had. I made an appointment to find out what I would need to do to get my wisdom teeth pulled because I had been in pain for months but was pregnant. Upon arriving I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the facility. The front office staff was very upbeat and friendly. They even had a welcome sign with my name on it as a new client. Well after i got to the back and explained the pain id been having and getting my X-​rays, I waited almost 2 hours for the dentist who didn’t even spend 2 minutes with me or listen to me (he walked out of the room mid sentence of me asking a question) so I left in tears from frustration and the staff did not say one word when I asked why I couldn’t get answers. I made an appt with another dentist whom my mother in law recommended the next morning to find out one tooth was infected with a cyst growing and it was removed the same day. Thank you Lakewood dental arts for not being concerned that I knew something was wrong of taking the time to listen or look at my X-​rays. No stars if possible.

Regular dental side is amazing! orthodontics… Doctor very nice but front desk girl Veronica is more interested in gossiping with co worker than doing her job on a regular basis!!! She could learn alot of skills and professionalism from Jess in the other office. It makes going to the Orthodontics side a HUGE challenge.

I’m been a patient at this dental office for many years my children also. My experiences have been pretty good. I love the hygienist, Terry her concerns and recommendations are always welcome. Dr. G and Dr. W are always comforting to see.

Let me start from the front desk Yesenia and Karen great service. Very attentive. Last tuesday i went in to get all four wisdom teeth removed. Dr. Bassam Farid is very nice. My husband was seen by him prior my appointment and he was very pleased with his work. So that made me feel a little more comfortable but im not going to lie i did feel very nervous the day of.
As soon as i walked in the girls in the front noticed i was nervous.
And they were very nice and tried comforting me. As i was called in to get started my heart was pumping fast i was very nervous .
Dr. Bassam tells me i wont feel a thing and trys to relax me. I was put to sleep with IV anesthesia and just like he said not one thing did i feel.
The procedure took about 2 hours when i woke up work was done and didnt feel much pain. Everybody was attentive making sure i was ok. Today is my 4^th day after my surgery and im doing great. Minor swealing. I recomend this place they make sure you feel comfortable. Dr Bassam awesome dentist !

The worst facility to try and deal with and scheduling with Allison is a nightmare. Once you have appointment, they cancel that appointment that it takes a month to get the morning of. I had a crown fitting this am at 1110 and the office calls at 9 and cancels… Poor customer service. Leave you hanging with temp fillings and make you feel like it is your fault that you can’t just change days. The part of service that they seem to be forgetting, Is we are the customer and paying their salary. They just don’t care or seem to worry about it. Front Office is ran like they’re doing your favor…

Im 46 years old and i have panic disorder and im afraid of the dentist. Bassem Farid really gets it. He has a real calming presents and caters to your needs. I told him that i dont like biter blocks and his reply was no problem. He even told others involved in my procedure to make sure they didnt use them. Best dr ive ever dealt with of any kind at explaining himself and making sure your ok.

Worst customer service ever! Not welcoming or helpful. You better print out your explanation of benefits because a card or your group number is not enough proof of coverage for this office. They make you do all the work. Lazy. Cmon ladies I’m sure you see the same numbers everyday and you can’t figure it out.
They must not need the business.

I came here for about 5 years. Initially the Dentist was great! I had some work that been done and always did my 6 month check up. I needed a root canal to fix the previous one which I didn’t think much of it. The endo was awesome he treated me exceptionally well. Than a few things started to happen. I come in for my check up and I needed another root canal. I was concerned because I have been coming in for years and all of a sudden I needed a root canal and a crown. I was like what happened to the cavity and why wasn’t the tooth addressed before? I was coming in every six months. I go the work done but I was not happy. Than I started reading my dental papers from my insurance and noticed I was paying more that what my insurance covered. I went back to the dentist and she told me they do an estimation what the insurance was going to pay and they charge me for the work. Once approved than they would refund me. But I never got a refund or was mentioned about it. Jessica did a great job and had all my payments looked over and I received about 100’s in a refund of what I over paid. If I would of said anything I would have never received my money. ALWAYS GET A APPROVAL FROM THE INSURANCE FIRST BEFORE GETTING ANY WORK DONE. Than you will pay the correct amount. The initial dentist that sees you is not the one that does they work. There is another section where they do the work and those dentist can be a bit rude. Overall I was not happy with my experience and decided to try another dentist. Now at this new dentist they found multiple cavities… imagine those could have been more root canals!!!

This place isn’t horrible but not great. You can’t choose your dentist, you get whoever you are assigned that day and you don’t get the same dentist every visit. The receptionist in the exam waiting area is very curt, not rude just not friendly. On the upside they are almost always on time, If your appointment is at 1 pm you will be in the chair by 1:05. I know a few people say the office is dirty, I don’t think it is so much dirty as dingy like it needs a new paint job.

Just called to make my first appointment and they can’t see me for 40 days!!! I’ll need a root canal by then! Maybe that’s the gimmick. No thanks, I’ll be switching to another office.

I went there over a year ago for pain and was told that I needed 4 root canal/​crowns. I had these done and they still hurt (bad job). I have severe gingivitis and receding gumlines, but they did not recommend deep cleaning or root planeing. Now the teeth are rotting at the gumlines. STAY AWAY AND GET A BETTER DENTIST…

Best dental office I’ve ever been to! The staff is so friendly, and very efficient. plus all records are digital which makes things easy and convenient. My dental hygienist Terry had the lightest touch and my teeth look 10 years younger! The dentist, Dr. Weiner was awesome — very helpful and didn’t try to sell me or tell me I needed unnecessary work done. I went in thinking I needed a deep cleaning and 7 fillings for worn enamel from another dental office. Walked out with a regular cleaning, one enamel filling scheduled and a clean bill of health! I will never go anywhere else. Already telling everyone about my experience!

I was referred to Dr. Batheja by my dentist to find out if I needed a root canal. The receptionist and nurses were very welcoming and Dr. Batheja was super friendly. He took the time to explain in detail what was going on with my molars.

I love this place. It’s a one stop shop. Started going here in 2009 to prepare for braces. Dr. Fowell is the orthodontist I go to. She’s not only an amazing Doctor, but an amazing person. She’s funny and just very very sweet. I had braces taken off about three years ago. I went back today for a broken retainer and she still remembered me and I was just so happy to see she was still there. I love the whole facility and the staff is amazing. Every facility has a bad day or bad employee every now and then…

I took my grandson to get his braces on 2 years ago at Lakewood Dental Arts and the customer service, pricing, and care that we received was just as impeccable as when I took my son to get his braces on back in 96. They have easy payment plans and are very caring and safe. I recommend them for all of your dental needs.

Absolute lifesavers… I cannot say enough good things about the staff at Lakewood Dental Arts. Their professionalism and courtesy is second to none. But what really makes them stand out is their compassion and willingness to not only go the extra mile, but in recent situation about 10 extra miles. My hat is off to a dental group that made this customer feel the customer service. If you have dental needs… go to Lakewood Dental Arts. Period.

What can you say about the dentist? They are usually the people who deliver pain and noises that you only experience in nightmares. I have had deep cleaning twice and regular cleanings after that. While there is pain involved, I must admit, the staff her will explain and tell you the amount of pain that will be involved. They will try their best in making you feel as comfortable as possible while you are going through the process. Just remember one thing, if it hurts, RAISE YOUR HAND! You can’t say anything because they are in your mouth, so raise that hand like you just don’t care! Try to have a good time after everything is done. Go out the dinner the night before because you won’t want to eat after a deep cleaning!

Its been a few years since i’ve been here. I moved to the east side, so I changed dentist. But they have always been the standard for which I hold all dentist. Now i’m back, I had my first exam and cleaning today and I was just like old times. Professional, Clean, fast, efficient and effective! Glad to be home

My current dental coverage through my employer is a dental HMO which means that in order to get the maximum benefit with the least out-​of-​pocket cost, I needed to use one of the dentists listed in the provider network. As I went through the list, I decided to choose Lakewood Dental Arts since they’re close to where I live plus they had lots of positive reviews here on Unilocal.I also have driven past their building many times and noticed how nice and new it was.
On the day of my appointment, I was given an iPad with which to fill out all the new patient forms. It was my first time to use an iPad but the receptionist explained to me how to use it. Once I got going, it was pretty easy. Some of my information was already filled out on the forms, however, some information was wrong including my street name being misspelled, the zip code being wrong and the first part of my Social Security number having a wrong digit. I found it rather appalling the lack of attention to detail on a first-​time patient’s personal information, even though I had explained it clearly (or so I thought) to the lady who answered the phone when I first called to schedule my appointment. I was actually quite surprised that my last name (not a common one) wasn’t misspelled!
Once that was done, I was taken into the main work area to have my dental x-​rays taken. The technician, Megan, took what seemed to be almost 20 x-​rays. I was impressed how once the x-​rays were taken, they appeared on a computer screen nearby.
After a short wait, I had a brief meeting with Dr. Goodis, one of the dentists. He just took a quick look through my mouth and at all the x-​rays and complimented me by telling me I had «beautiful teeth.» :-) Apparently, I didn’t have any cavities or other problems, which was good.
From there, I was directed over to the other side of the office to have my teeth cleaned. The hygienist who worked on me was Michelle. She did a very thorough job in scraping all the tartar and then polishing my teeth. When I was all done, she gave me a reminder sticker to call the office in May to set up an appointment for my next cleaning in August.
Overall, I was really impressed with this dental office, especially having a paperless environment. Everyone I dealt with was very pleasant, welcoming and professional. However, a few areas of concern were getting my personal information wrong on the new patient forms, having to call months ahead to get an appointment for routine cleanings and checkups, the limited parking in the front parking lot (although more parking is available behind the building) and the fact this office isn’t open for appointments on Saturdays or evenings in order to accommodate people like me who work a 9 – 5 M-​F work schedule. Hopefully I’ll have another good experience in August.
