This is just a basic buffet that’s way too expensive for the quality. Stay away from the sushi, it tastes gross! Trust me. Just avoid it. The crab legs tasted okay, but were very skinny. It was way more work to eat than it was worth. I think the most disappointing thing was the dessert offerings. They didn’t even have almond cookies. Just some old looking pudding, some kind of jello thing, and a few unappetizing pastry looking things. I felt fine after eating. There’s just better buffets out there that cost less.

Cold food! Children working at the register. Very expensive for salty gross food! Don’t waste your time! There are too many other amazing Asian restaurants in the area. They tell you it will be the child’s age plus $ .99 and adults will be another price then when you get your bill they say a 12 year old is an adult. Anyways, that wouldn’t have bothered me at all if the good wasn’t absolutely scary to eat!

Soooooo many options! Dinner is a little pricey but still really good! Didn’t get a chance to try the sushi but it looked pretty good. The young lady who waited on my table was very sweet and very attentive. As a matter of fact every person on the team that I came in contact with was very friendly and smiling. They did a great job keeping food coming. The place may like small from the outside but it’s huge! A strange décor but I enjoyed it. Give it a shot!

I went to Great Wall Super Buffet for dinner about a week ago. It was late(around 8pm on a Monday night). After reading some of the other reviews for this buffet, I decided that I have to balance them out, because the horrible reviews do not at all reflect this buffet. We really enjoyed our dinner at Great Wall and will definitely be back again. Don’t let the ridiculous bad reviews scare you away or you’ll miss out on great food and service. — Food: Despite it being so late on a Monday(never a great time to go to a buffet), most of the stations were open and the food was still hot and relatively fresh. Coming from a very Chinese-heavy part of Pennsylvania with a lot of New York transplants I always lower my expectations when getting Chinese food other places, however I was pleasantly surprised by Great Wall. They have a sushi bar(average), mongolian grill(great), and the rest of the extensive buffet was also quite good. No, it’s not gourmet modern Asian fusion cuisine, but it’s definitely better than going to Panda Express, or many of the other much worse Chinese buffets I’ve been to. — Staff: VERY friendly. Upon walking in they even voluntarily told us about a coupon to save some money(search Great Wall Super Buffet on Valpak to get 15% of your full party). We went here the second night after moving to Denver from AZ and they made us feel right at home. We had NO complaints about the food but the staff kept apologizing for it being so late on a Monday and that the food would be much better during peak hours on the weekends or at lunch. If the food gets a lot better during peak hours I would easily give Great Wall 5 stars. — Facilities: Lots of reviewers left bad reviews for the cleanliness of the buffet and claimed they got sick(it’s ridiculous what hypochondriacs some people can be). After working in the food industry for many years(and being ServSafe Certified), I can definitively say that Great Wall’s hygiene is totally fine. Should you walk in there expecting it to be spick and span like a hospital? Absolutely not(and if that’s what you expect out of buffets, then start eating at home only). But there is no reason to be overly critical, it was clean and safe. Chinese restaurants always get the worst reviews for this, and it’s time that stops. — Price: At $ 19.00 the buffet was a little pricey, but after our 15% coupon, $ 16/person for any type of buffet during dinner is not unreasonable in 2016. The buffet is VERY large with sushi, a made-to-order Mongolian grill, and more than 5 or 6 lines of buffet items. You can’t expect such a large buffet(with sushi) to be the same price as one serving a dozen items.

I went to this restaurant last Tuesday and I got deathly ill that evening from the food. I had a horrible pain in my stomach I have never had such of a pain in my stomach. I know that it was food poisoning. This place is filthy and sushie is NOT on ice. I called the next day to let them know how sick I was and the guy said to go to my doctor and get a note. I was just calling them to let them know, they did not say sorry nor offer a discount or pay back my dinner which is $ 19.99!!! not worth it at all!!! AVOIDTHISPLACE. I was so sick I ended up in the hospital. I am filing with the city to have them check on this dirty disgusting place

This is probably the best Chinese Buffet in town but thats not saying much in Denver(coming from Vegas). Fresh oysters, sushi, mongolian, crawfish, clams, frog legs, ice cream, crepes are highlights for me. No crabs but overall selection is good. Sorry no pictures as we were so hungry from all day moving! About $ 18 per person for dinner.

I should have listened to my past experience, but I wanted to give them another try. I came in just as they were opening for lunch and was welcomed with a half smile from a less than happy waiter. The food was dull and some of the food in the warm trays were actually cold. Even the hot and sour soup was tepid at best. I would advise to go elsewhere. The frozen Asian food section at the grocery is more palatable and probably safer than these dishes. Sadly I had to give them one star. I so hate to do this, but I cannot mislead my fellow Unilocalers.

The city should shut these people down. They have no respect for cleanliness, and several people who have reviewed here have stated they’ve gotten sick. The CDC should just red tag this place, and do the public a favor(set it on fire). I’m pretty sure that I wouldn’t eat in that building even after these owners get sued and go out of business, and another restaurant moves in to this diseased, bug infested hell hole.

Went today @ 12:45 pm on 1÷20÷16 for lunch. Tried the sushi, Hot and sour soup, a chicken stir fry and beef broccoli. Went directly to work feeling full. That didn’t last long. Within 3 hours was puking my guts out. The staff was friendly but I noticed that the kitchen workers did not rotate out the pans but just dumped«fresh» food on top of the old. So how long were the items that I was sampling sitting there? The bathroom was dark(purple?) barely any light with graffiti all over the walls-most scraped off. Several signs dictating to not flush ANY paper down the toilet. Does this seem unsanitary to anyone else? Here it is 8 hours later and still wracked with stomach spasms nothing left in my body to get rid of but it keeps trying. The only reason they deserve one star was because of the wait staff.

They change the tip amount on the receipt to reflect a higher tip for themselves. Guess they have been cheating customers for a while now with this scam according to my credit card company! Be aware of this place and check your transactions cause they are cheating customers for higher tips and if the do this to you dispute it with the credit card for the full amount as they credit your account for fraudulent charges. I have also reported them to news channels and one might be investigating them really soon! HAHA– Cheaters you guys are exposed and hope they shut you down!

For the price this buffet could be so much better. The food doesn’t seem fresh, it all seems like it’s been left out just a bit too long. The sushi(while you probably shouldn’t be having sushi at a buffet anyways…) was about as expected… drab and smelly. My girl tried one piece and just couldn’t do the second. We’re glad we tried this place as we had been wanting to but for your dollar, head up the street to Peking Tokyo Express instead and you can get delicious fresh made food(although not buffet style…).

I’ve been to many Chinese buffets. This one is up there. On Sat and Sun they serve a dinner buffet all day. The seafood selection is very good. Even a sushi and Mongolian section. The first time I came here was during the week and the selections were not as extensive at all. Some people have given this negative reviews but truly it depends on when you come to eat here. Get here early lunch and you know everything is freshly prepared, vs if you came at 2 – 4. If you came during these times and had a negative reaction to the food, kind of your own fault. My family will return here on a weekend for sure!

I agree with many of the other reviews: over priced. Food was ok. Sushi smelled funny so I ended up not eating it(I know, I thought I’d chance it but the smell told me to think twice once I got back to the table) Stuffed mushrooms were good, Mongolian pork was good too, standard egg rolls & wontons… just too expensive for what it is.

Totally in the mood for some Chinese Buffet. This place only had two stars but we decided to try knowing what to expect from a buffet. We really enjoyed it, amazing selection of seafood, Chinese, Mongolian, sushi, salad and dessert. We will definitely be back!

After reading other sub-par reviews, I was hesitant to try this place. I was impressed as far as buffets go. Lots of variety. It’s a chinese buffet people, not a made to order restaurant. Stop being so critical. You know what to expect when you go to a place like this and I have had much much worse. I’d go back.

Everything I could want in a chinese buffet. I’m chinese, so again I’ll echo other comments in saying that given what’s expected of a buffet, they do a very serviceable job. Great selection, most of it decent(some is actually damn good in that take-out chinese sort of way), even the sushi isn’t bad considering everything. Not sketchy at least. They seem to rotate and change what’s available, which is nice. Went here for lunch, and while it is slightly pricier than other buffets, given that I eat a lot, they have a nice selection, and the service is fine I’m ok with it. Dinner, not sure I’d go, but a solid lunch option. Not sure what all the one-star ratings are for; guess they were expecting to be waited on(besides clearing plates and refilling water, what else is there to do?) or expecting fancy food(it’s a damn buffet, and better than a lot of take-out places in the area that people rave about).

Got to have another culinary experience the easy way on someone else’s dime and it was chosen for convenience for a group. First thing I check and(this place failed in the negative scale) was the entrance, appearance and smell — oh hell I thought to myself here we go upon entry. But there was some redemption with the food ultimately and the staff that attended to us. But no– not again or would recommend to my enemies. If they could redeem themselves it would be to clean up that entryway and cauterize the entire place– heck just get on the kitchen nightmares program. At least they covered the sushi and it passed the smell test.

I feel as though I often need to begin buffet reviews with a caveat: this is not fine dining. This is mass produced food that sits in heating trays for relatively long periods of time. I don’t go to McDonalds expecting a steak, nor do I go to any sort of buffet restaurant for upscale, locally sourced, freshly prepared cuisine. That being said, when I go to the Great Wall Super Buffet, I expect mass produced food that sits in heating trays for relatively long periods of time — no surprise there. However, there are many similar buffets against which to judge whether this restaurant is successful for what it actually is. I have been to Great Wall twice in the last few months, both times for lunch. While the prices are slightly higher than many other Chinese lunch buffets, the extensive selection makes me feel as though I’m not simply being ripped off. Great Wall has island after island of dishes, including fresh made sushi(not bad for buffet sushi), Mongolian grill, tons of desserts(including ice cream and a chocolate fountain), and plenty of Americanized Chinese food. While none of the food is the greatest single thing that I’ve ever placed upon my tongue, it is all of a sufficiently high quality and taste that I can enjoy my meal. The food that I’ve sampled at Great Wall is as good or better than just about any other Chinese buffet in town. Great Wall has tons of seating(great for large parties), and seems to hire a ton of staff, so the level of service is fairly high. As a long-time Unilocaler and frequent Unilocal reviewer, I tend to ignore(and, seriously, so should you… seriously…) the types of reviews that try to blame some sort of mysterious illness on a restaurant. It seems pretty clear that if there were actually some sort of problem with the food or the cleanliness that more than one person would be affected. My experience has been that this restaurant is kept clean and sanitary. For what it is, I enjoy Great Wall, and will probably be back on occasion in the future.

Huge selection. Friendly and attentive staff. Good Mongolian BBQ. Huge dessert buffet. Awesome variety on the hot buffet bar It even has a sushi bar on the right. You could eat there everyday for a week and not repeat yourself. All at an affordable price.

I just ate at this dump for the first time and what a wonderful experience. I got violently ill after eating there for ten minutes and plan on spending the rest of the day in the bathroom. When I told the managers, nobody cared at all. They did give me half off my meal, which I only paid because I was about to throw up on their counter. Eat at your on risk!!!
