Great Clips

Used online check in so didn’t have to wait and my son was very satisfied with his hair cut.

I’ve been coming here for 3 years and have never had any issue with my cut. Also, it’s close to my home and I like the online check-​in.
So, today Karen cut my hair. Today along with a cut I asked for a shampoo. She started by complaining about her back and maybe that’s why she kept wiping her soap-​covered arm across my face, getting soap in my eyes multiple times. And maybe she was tired, that’s why she poked me in the eye twice during combing it out and sprayed detangler in my face. Maybe she was fighting a cold which was the reason I was subjected to her mouth breathing right next to my face the whole time — all the while hoping I’m not going to catch something.
I’ve seen other reviewers who had issues with a «Karen», wondering if it’s the same person. If so, yikes!
I usually let the stylist dry my hair and put product in it just to try something new, but honestly, today I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. I paid and left with my hair dripping wet.
She cut my hair ok. My issue was that she wasn’t paying attention to what she was doing and how that carelessness affected the whole experience.

Nice and very welcoming but worst haircut ive ever had. I asked for one on sides cut a little on top. It ended up looking like a military cut with the top crooked. Walked inside my house and everyone laughed. Gotta get it fixed somewhere else.

I’ve been to this location many times before and have had excellent service. Unfortunately today I didn’t check the Unilocal reviews to see which stylists to avoid. KAREN cut my long hair when all I wanted was a trim & a little clean up in front to frame my face. She coughed several different times into her hand then continued touching my hair. She didn’t cross check the lengths or hand me a mirror so I could see the back. When it was all done she didn’t style my hair or even offer to brush off the cut hairs off my neck and face. She just took off the smock and told me to go to the counter to pay.

I am giving great clips 2 because Juanita was great and so was Jocelyn at the Lakewood store. However Karen is a extremely rude individual who has no people skills. I was about to leave because she was so rude.

We had an amazing visit! Everyone was very inviting. We went there for my daughter’s first haircut. Everything went smoothly and the haircut looks great! We donated her hair to Wigs for Kids, and the hairstylist was very informative on how we should prep it for mailing out. Will go back again for my daughter’s next haircut.

I came here for my brothers haircut. The lady who helped us was rude about checking us in.
We had no idea about online check in because this is our first time to come here. They didnt tell us about waiting and we would be helped after the online check ins. There are so many names that popped up. They werent very helpful and I believe that if you dont know you should still be helped before the online check ins if they walked in after you.

It’s a Great Clips. I’m sure there are better, I’m sure there are worse. I felt like whoever cut my hair was trying to break a record for fastest haircut. Yeah, they were busy but it doesn’t make a customer feel too welcome or valued.

I am a male who switched from a barber to great clips. The ladies at this spot are spot on and listen to request and give their own opinions which help. Serena is who I go to every time.

Short and sweet. Karen sneezed into her hand, wiped her side, and continued touching all over my head. She then coughed in my face. I guess because «it’s allergies,» it’s okay. Gross.

This review is for KAREN… Man, have I ever had to deal with someone as RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, and PREJUDICED. She clearly has a problem with people who are different from her.

I want to say I got Landy the first time and Karen the second time. Landy was super sweet and fun. She kept me entertained the whole time. She styled my hair (blow out) but I saw her struggling and the finished look was a frizz ball. I could have done that myself for free. I thought, nevermind, my hair can be difficult… maybe her arms got tired.
Came in again to get my bangs cut and brought my husband to get his hair cut. Big mistake. Karen didn’t even look at the picture I showed her of how I wanted my bangs. She just cut them straight and short, when I specifically told her I wanted them long and wispy. No big deal, I was only going to a wedding! Definitely my fault for going somewhere like this. I know. I should have gone to a real salon. I could have, again, done a better job myself. I just thought with their training, they could do better. But, I was mistaken. My husband got someone else and he was pretty upset she took so little time to sort his hair out. It was too short. He said he asked for a 2 and whatever he got was way shorter than that. How? A 2 should be a 2 anywhere you go.
It’s a shame since they’re all nice and friendly. But they work here for a reason… they can’t do hair. Cheap if you want something quick and effortless. Your hair will always grow back. But you shouldn’t really pay someone to do something for you if they leave you thinking like that. Never again.

I was very disappointed… I have to say I went in for a blow dry and she seemed rushed to finish. The stylist kept complimenting me on my hair but I would of really wished she would of done a better job. The icing on the cake is before she started I asked her how much it was for the blow dry she had said $ 30 but when it was time to pay she told me it was $ 33 very unprofessional. Will not be going back ever!!!

First time visiting here, although they are reasonably priced, I asked for side bangs and instead received extrememly short front baby bangs. They don’t blow dry your hair after, I assume that is an extra charge, so you don’t really get a good look at your haircut until your hair dries. I’m going back to my old hair stylist who cuts, blow dries and straightens for 15. Although, they do a great job at male hair cuts from what I saw.

Just received a card with coupon in the mail for a free haircut, and an apology. The real question is the customer service improved?
Thank you to the owner or manager who reads these reviews. The sad truth of business is one bad experience will be told to numerous people, and the good experiences too often get untold. I am a true example of that statement. I have for the last 1.5 years been a customer of this location, and not until the bad visit did Ifeel the need to leave a review.

Still giving five stars because every time I come in to great clips the girls are amazing! They are very nice and love that they take the time to ask you what you want. Use the check in app! Saves time!

Better off waiting for Karen. Not going back if I don’t get Karen. Stylist enjoys verbally sparring with customer. Condescending, snippy, and rude is what the stylist portrayed. Sorry, I don’t know the «stylist jargon» you tried to teach me in my first 3 minutes of me in the chair. Karen is best stylist in this place.

Been coming here for years. Have had a number of haircutters come and go there which is always a disappointment when you get in a groove of haircutter /​client understanding. #3 up the sides blend the top but not too short, the mantra is reiterated just to be sure the system recording is proper. Love the online check-​in, love the hours and normally pleasant staff. Prices are reasonable and if you take advantage of the $ 50 and get a haircut free you can get the price down even further. Worst times to come in here are when the new school terms start and of course when there are holidays. Best times are right when the place opens on the weekends and during the week if you can make it.
