I don’t know what Charo Chicken some of these reviewers go to, but I don’t think it’s this one. My boyfriend and I go every Sunday (give or take) and we have been treated with nothing but respect and friendliness from the staff. The chef is awesome. I’ve also ordered delivery (especially during football season!) with no issues. If the staff have issues with hearing your order, I’d recommend GrubHub.

il choose their lemon butter chicken over el pollo loca anytime, chicken is soft and and fresh but el pollo loco is also good but charo has better chicken and taste zesty. The flavor is really good balance of lemon and tastyness, the mexican orange rice is really good and tasty too, and the tortilla is soft and smell good. my only complain is the ac is too cold.

I really like the lemon butter chicken meal. it comes with three pieces of chicken with some delicious seasoned fries and some «charo rice» which is really only just tomato sauce rice. For about $ 10 the chicken is tasty and falls off the bone when eating it. The seasoning is tasty and not too overpowering but take heed, I really recommend asking for tender chicken. On occasion I have received some chicken that was seriously dried out. Overall not a bad place to check out and head to on occasion.

Omg! My gf and I order from this place at least twice a week! We love it! Chicken burritos and quesadillas are the bomb! Chicken is so flavorful and great proportions. They deliver so that’s a plus better than that other place lol

Good chicken and love all the salsas we got with our delivery (try all 4). We got the charo burrito and the beans, rice and cheese burrito, both good sized, filling and flavorful although $ 30 for 3 burritos is a bit on the expensive side. Fast delivery makes this a good option for dinner.

First time here with the family to try out a new halal restaurant. The chicken on the bone was tender and flavorful with the lemon garlic sauce. Side dishes weren’t too special but ok. The chicken in the chicken burrito was also tender and overall a tasty burrito. The steak fajita bowl was good except that the steak was a little dry and overcooked. We’d stick with chicken next time. The place was clean and staff friendly. We will come again when in the area.

Had the spicy bowl with no meat and black beans, it was so delicious and definitely hit the spot. The food is great and the staff was very polite. I used the 10% off for checking in which made it come out to about $ 7. Definitely worth the trip and of course I’m coming back.

We’ve been Charo Chicken customers for nearly 20 years! We’ve been to Tustin, Los Alamitos, Seal Beach and Lakewood locations. Unfortunately, the customer care is less than desirable at the Lakewood location. For us, the extra miles to the Seal Beach location is worth the drive. Times change and so do owners…

This is an awesome charro location. I’ve ordered both delivery and dined at the location and was happy with all my experiences. The spicy shredded chicken bowl is the way to go but I’m sure all of their menu items are equally as delicious

Do yourself a favor and drive to one of the El Pollo Locos nearby. This place serves their customers OLD, COLD and DRY chicken. Customer service needs improvement too. The employees were rude and seem to be too busy laughing and chitchatting behind the counter.

I will never order from here again. Yes there food is good but not only did they raise their prices but I ordered a Tostada Salad with carne sada and I got (yes I counted 6 pieces of meat) I also ordered two soft taco and (yes I counted) I got 3 pieces of meat. My total order came to over $ 52.00 I was totally amazed. I used to order from them all of the time but I ordered off of one menu and come to find out that their prices went up $ 1.00. I could not believe it. $ 7.99 for two soft tacos. Never ever again!

This is evidence of the deliciousness of this place. We had the chicken meal with the lime rice and black beans. You must order some of the garlic butter sauce to complete for dipping the chicken. Amazing!

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food here. I had never been here before, but it was about 8:00 p.m. and my boyfriend and I had been moving all day and we were exhausted and starving. The guy at the counter was super friendly. I wish I’d gotten his name. Anyway I ordered a small two-​piece lemon garlic butter combo with cilantro rice and black beans. My boyfriend got a burrito, as per usual. Our food was DELICIOUS. And the guy threw in a free piece of chicken with my meal. I don’t know why, but I didn’t question him. We were very pleased! We’ll definitely be back.

When in the mood for charbroiled chicken I prefer this place over the loco. The chicken is flavorful and tender, the French fries are phenomenal, and the lime cilantro rice always has me coming back for more, I have never tried any of their other sides here but those. Their customer service is great, fast, and efficient.

Oh my this fire grilled chicken is just the best. Packed with flavor, tender, and juicy all at the same time. We ordered the 12 piece family meal which comes with three family sides. We chose the seasoned fries, lemon cilantro rice, and garlic mashed potatoes. Array of salsa selections and they are all so flavorful from hot to mild.
The manager was very friendly and helpful, before I ordered he informed me that if I check in on Unilocal I would get a 10% discount. It sure beats the HECK out of El Pollo Loco. You actually get a lot of meat on your chicken and it’s tastier.
Close to work and passed by here many times but never frequented this place. I sure was missing out before but no longer.
