The worst range in Colorado. There is an idiot called Flint. He claimed he served in Army. Everytime we shoot in the range, he acts like a babysitter and pretends knowijg everything regardless nobody wants to talk to him. He was so been ignored but continued interrupting out shooting, have never seen a guy that is so talkative and full of bullshits. We know the safety rules, we know the operations of firearms, he still want to act like a instructor, very annoying and disturbing guy. Will never be back! Stay away from this range!

Best range I’ve ever been to. The staff is knowledgeable, safety oriented, and welcoming. Their prices are also very fair. Find your item at cabelas or bass pro, but purchase it here.

Was visiting Colorado for the weekend and was snowed in so we found a great groupon for this place! We did a 2 hour gun simulation and it was such a great time. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed the service provided as the workers tried their best to troubleshoot a gun issue we were having and did not take time off our play. We got to use a hand pistol and a shotgun simulation. These are real guns with real triggers but a laser comes out onto a screen projector instead of a bullet. They have a large variety of things to shoot and even timed training.
Overall this was a fun place to go and hang out for 2 hours, and of course they have live shooting as well!
Would recommend to anyone with a Groupon!

A friend and I came in Saturday evening to shoot. We had an awesome experience. Reasonable prices and awesome staff. Scott was very friendly and knowledgeable! We will definitely be back!

My hubby and I came here on a Saturday around 3:38pm. It was pretty busy so we had to wait about 20 – 25 minutes before it was our turn. There were two separated areas with 8 lanes each. It looks like they don’t fill all 16 lanes at a time– probably for safety reasons or something? Idk. There were some empty lines while we waited the 20 – 25 minutes. Anyway, we paid $ 19 for my hubby and $ 15 for me to rent a lane for 1 hour. Women save $ 4!
There is an employee in each room monitoring what everyone is doing and making sure no one does anything against the rules. I’ve never seen this before at a range but it’s nice! This place has its own target holders so you do not need to buy any. However, they only have clips for extremely large targets. If you have a small target, they provide tape for you to tape it on– which gets really annoying if you’re alternating targets with another person in your lane. The tape wasn’t very sticky. Their machines measure the distance in yards instead of feet. We typically did 10 yards.
The store itself is huge. They also have a little beverage station ($ 1 for coffee or soft drinks). The store has a variety of items. I can’t say how the prices compare to other places but I’d guess a bit more pricey than a store like Bass Pro Shops since it is a privately owned store. This place also has a gunsmith counter! I thought that was interesting. They also offer a virtual shooting experience which seems cool as well. All of the employees seemed friendly. Some of them were open carrying too.
The parking lot pretty much sucks. It was full so we had to park across the street. Anyway, we would definitely come back!
Update: The virtual shooting room is interesting! I think it’s one of those things that you just have to try at least once. But more than once might get a little boring. You walk into a standard room with a table, a few chairs, some fake but heavy guns, and a projection screen. There is some program on the computer that projects onto the wall– it’s kind of like you’re in a video game with poor graphics and bad acting. There are lots of different things you can do in the game– you can shoot at zombies as they pop out of nowhere, you can shoot bottles and targets, or you can train and be in real life situations where there is a robber. It’s definitely entertaining for maybe the first 30 minutes– then we all started getting kind of bored. But it’d be fun for people who are too scared to shoot a real gun!

I came in today for my first time to see the place and had an awesome experience! The staff is so friendly and knowledgable. I had lots of questions which a nice young blonde girl answered and even took me on a tour. They even have an on site gunsmith, Andrew was very helpful and really knew his stuff! I plan on having lots of work done by them and can’t wait to experience the range. I recommend checking this place out!

We had nothing but, the best service and experience. Even yesterday for lovers dates day, it was packed but, the service of Cheyenne, Jacqueline, Chance and Mike was exceptional. They’ve won the business aid my friends and myself. Thank you Bristle Cone Crew!

Everyone here is awesome! They make you feel welcomed and are more than willing to help you no matter what your skill or knowledge level. Trevor and Chance (hope I got his name right) are really good with customer service. RW the range manager is great as well. They have a great selection of weapons and accessories. Range is well lit with great ventilation and very nice digital target setting system. I can’t say enough good things about this place. Highly recommended!

Signed up for the women’s only instruction to pistol. A four hour class with Sam instructing. Three women showed up unregistered which made too many in the class. The overhead projector was not available so someone came in and set up another… making us start late. Sam was a nice enough and experienced instructor but she just talks to hear herself talk. We were interrupted several times by other employees and then they had to take another few minutes to talk about how great each other was. We finally got to the range where we were shown stance and ‘dry’ shot first which seemed to take forever. I just walked out. I’ve shot many times before and I couldn’t stand there doing nothing waiting for my turn. $ 75 wasted. I’ll go elsewhere.

Nice, new and very clean facility. Building their inventory but always have a great selection of Glocks which I appreciate. Haven’t shot here before as I have a range at my house. Seems to always take a bit longer to get the paperwork done on purchases vs. other places I frequent but all in all a great addition to the west seise of Denver. Met one of the owners during a visit and was super nice. I will be back and wish you the very best!

Good facility, very clean and well set up. The employees were nice and helpful. The range was set up nice. Took advantage of their multiple Groupons. Will definitely being going back.

The range is fantastic, very clean and well run with range masters always present. I did have an issue with my target not coming back to the 0 yard line but otherwise no complaints.
The pro shop/​is another issue. If you ask for help and get separated from the person helping from you at any point… good luck getting the help again. On two separate occasions I waited in excess of an hour for 2 simple tasks, only to be eventually told the delay was a «miscommunication». When you can see the person you’re supposed to be «communicating» with from your work station, it’s not a valid excuse. The pro shop employees are polite, but lack any skill regarding follow up (in store or phone call).

I’ve been here twice. The first time I was demoing 9 mm autos and they have a great selection of guns. I put 150 rounds through 6 guns over 1.5 hours. they have a flat fee for as many guns as you want to try in a single caliber. I was able to narrow down what worked best for me. I bought a gun and went there today to give it a workout.
The shooting lanes are well lit unlike one of their competitors. They have clear plexiglass lane dividers which gives you a better idea what people around you are doing which I find more reassuring. The system for target handling is really slick. I haven’t even used the advanced features yet, but on the better range the targets can actually do moving tactical moves.
The people that work there are friendly and helpful. You don’t get any attitude. They also give a discount for current/​ex military/​police which is nice.
I drive about 30 min to get there but I think it is worth it.

Bristlecone from now on will be my go to! Came in on a Tuesday @ 1300 and was greeted by R.W. (an instructor) it is ladies day on Tuesday’s $ 10 use of the range during the day and free range fee after 1800 I believe. R.W. gave me an in depth showcase of the simulator and even let me try some scenarios. The range is new, well lit, very spacious and clean. Far surpasses the low grade «shootist» and snotty centennial gun club. The range is ahead on technology in that you adjust your target by computer and can program your target to move, turn, stop at different times. R.W. even cleaned my gun for me! and gave me a few pointers w/​o being overbearing. Met Bryan the owner very personable, humorous and friendly staff all around plus they don’t make you feel inadequate for being a solo woman shooter unlike other ranges I’ve been to.

Came in today to tryout a new indoor range, the sign in was easy and fast. And theres a discount for female shooters! Thumbs up! There are two option range u can choose from, one tactical and one conventional. I did tactical because I usually dont do that and it was a great experience. Its controlled electronically and u can set up your own program. There was also a staff member in the range area the entire time to help anyone that needed assitance. He was also sweeping up all the shells so that was cool. Overall, it was definitely a 5 star experience.

I really like Bristlecone in terms of a shooting range. The people are friendly, unpretentious, and very helpful. The range is clean, very well ventilated, and amazingly comfortable. The rules are realistic enough to allow thorough training without feeling someone is going to accidentally shoot you.
The reason I only gave them 3 stars has to do with the membership pricing; when joined the website said 5% off regularly priced merchandise for members.
To me. «regularly priced merchandise» is stuff in the store that is not on sale or any kind of clearance.
Turns out after buying a few guns, some accessories and more ammo than I need. The discount doesn’t apply either ammo («non range ammo», whatever that means) or guns.
I complained to one of the owners and received a gracious reply, but still no change in how the membership benefits are listed. I overheard someone repeating this to a prospective member the other day. –Not that big of a deal, their prices are still competitive, the selection is OK (and still growing), and the people are nice overall. It just irks me that you have to navigate through the exceptions and qualifiers to determine the price.
Have since gone back to my old gun guy, (you’ll have to read my other reviews to determine who that is) and shoot regularly at the guntry club also known as Bristlecone.

A welcome addition for shooters in the Denver Metro area. The space is open, well lit, and inviting.
The staff are friendly and proactive. The range is bright, clean, and well-​managed. They’ve got a gunsmith ON SITE.
Memberships are priced on par with other indoor ranges in the area. A monthly payment schedule makes it easier on the wallet to join, rather than paying up front.
Their selection of guns and ammo is better than any local shop.
Bryan and Jackie, the owners, have set the bar high — and their staff and the facility exceed their standards.
Count me a big fan.

I was looking for a gift for the hunter (s) in the family for a birthday. Heard the ad about this new business opening up and thought a membership would be perfect.
Figured I’d get to use it too since there are guest passes with the membership. Also they have training, as well as shopping. There is no point having a gun for hunting unless you can aim, buy ammo and an occasional sporting jacket…
Whipped out the Visa and got 30% off new memberships BEFORE I checked in with said family member. Ends up he goes almost every weekend to a friend’s farm for practice. With encroaching developments everywhere, those days may be ending but a gift’s a gift and so I moved on.
Why I gave 5 stars has to do with two things. I called after I found out the bad news of being birthday gift rejected and got a one ring answer directly from Bryan, one of the owners, who said «no problem» and the full amount of the transaction showed up the next day, thanks to Jackie. Even before they are open (early 2015), they are treating customers in a timely, courteous and professional manner. Wish this happened in more places.
I’m guessing they’ve been swamped with business so one membership down really won’t matter. On the other hand, my birthday’s coming up soon anyway.
