Dr. Swankhouse (Heupel) is a graduate of the University of Colorado, School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Swankhouse has been in the dental field since 1991. She prides herself on creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere in her office and you will find her staff exceptionally helpful and caring.

Business Owner

Dr. Barbara D. Swankhouse is a doctoral graduate of the University of Colorado, School of Dental Medicine. Barbara received her undergraduate degree from Colorado State University-​Pueblo, graduating with honors with a BS in Biology, with an emphasis in Cellular and Molecular Biology. She also graduated as a member the Beta Beta Beta National Biological Honor Society and continually made the Dean’s list. She started her undergraduate work at Pikes Peak Community College where she was also recognized for her academic achievements as a member of the Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society and continually making the President’s Honor Roll.

Barbara is a proud member of the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association and the Metro Denver Dental Society. Barbara is also working towards a membership in the American Association of Endodontists as well as the American Society of Forensic Odontology.
