Dr. James moved to Lakeland in 1984, after serving with the US Air Force. He practiced with Dr. Alvin Fillastre, jr for one year before starting his own practice. In the current location since 1989.

Dr. James was born and grew up in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Has his degrees in Aerospace Engineering and Dentistry from the University of Florida. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree in 1979. He is a member of the Polk County Dental Association, as part of the ADA, and is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry. He is a charter member of the Center for Advance Dental Studies Prosthodontic Study Group and the Vision Study Club. He is dedicated to providing high quality dental care in a gentle setting.
