Adolf Hitler cut to the heart of education’s deficiency when he said, «What luck for rulers that men do not think.»
Classical education focuses on equipping students to learn and think for themselves so they can influence the culture around them. The Trivium, classical education’s three-fold approach, teaches students the critical art of thinking by targeting their abilities according to age, thus helping them stretch to their full learning potential.
Geneva is an independent classical and Christian academy serving Polk County Florida. We offer a k4−12th grade honors education. We invite you to tour our campus and meet our professional and devoted faculty. See the blessing a classical Christian education can be for your family!
History
Established in 1996.
Geneva Classical Academy was born out of a love for our Lord and Savior who is the Giver of all wisdom and truth. It was born out of a love for teaching and training the next generation to defend the truth as it is revealed in God’s word. It was born out of a love for seeing students love the gift of learning. It was born out of a love for the classical Christian model.
Christ is the One who directed the hearts of that founding board and initial teacher to be obedient to the call in 1996. He is the One who has continually provided for our needs. We do not yet know all the seeds He has planted in the hearts of the students that come and go year after year… but we do know His purposes will be fulfilled. May it always be said of Geneva, «One generation shall praise Thy works to another, and shall declare Thy mighty acts.» Psalm 145:4
