History

Established in 2005.

«Junk King was established by two peninsula entrepreneurs who saw the need to offer eco-friendly junk removal services to the Bay Area. The idea was to offer services to homes and businesses that didn’t have the time or resources to remove unwanted garbage on their own, and recycle it whenever and wherever possible. Junk King now has more than 40 locally owned franchises nationwide!»

Palm Beach Franchise Owners Defy Stereotypes

West Palm Beach, FL: It’s easy to stereotype the individuals who own Junk King hauling and recycling franchises. For those who grew up watching Sanford and Son, junk haulers are imagined as being eccentric, comical sorts without anything approaching business sophistication. Oh, how wrong can those stereotypes be? David A., with a MBA in business, spent most of his career as a marketing executive with high-powered companies including Kraft Foods, the Pillsbury Company, and Bausch & Lomb. His wife and co-owner of the new Palm Beach franchise, Toni has a MS in education and specialized in curriculum, instruction, classroom management, etc. Add to that equation, David’s marketing of three Olympics – Albertville, France 1992, Lillehammer, Norway 1994, and Atlanta in 1996, the couple certainly seems well-prepared to carry the torch into any new venture.
