Worst property management firm ever. They’ve been in charge of my condo community for nearly 20 years and why our board keeps contracting with them is beyond me. Their office staff and onsite personnel keep forgetting one important fact: They work for the homeowners. We pay their salaries. Our manager is rude and incompetent. The office staff never returns phone calls, no matter how important the issue. There are so many specifics that demonstrate their incompetence, but the best one I can relate is this one: several years ago, we had an issue in the community that was causing damage to the units (ficus tree roots growing up through the floors of the units, into the plumbing and the showers). Ficus trees are a nuisance plant according to the state of FL, yet in spite of this and the thousands of dollars in damage the trees were causing to the units, the manager and APM refused to remove the trees, stating that they didn’t want to cut down live trees. I was stunned, and no amount of argument would budge them from this absolutely ridiculous stance. The list of costly incompetence is too long to write here.
If you’re considering buying a condo and find that APM is the property management company, run – don’t walk – away from that property. What you will have to put up with from APM is simply not worth it, no matter how much you might love the property.
