Our philosophy of education is simple. Students should master their basic tools very well – then learn to really use what they learn. Our teaching and study methods emphasize practical application – because only in meaningful use can one work out the proper value of the many pieces of knowledge encountered in an education. This approach keeps our students continually evaluating new information in relation to the real world. Their education becomes something they build and own, not something piled onto them. In the end, we want to see our students maintain their individuality, while being self-motivated, confident and active. We want to cultivate purposeful individuals who are capable of pursuing and reaching their chosen goals.
History
Established in 1984.
One of the primary tenets of the Delphi Program is that, as a central focus, we pursue the attainment of demonstrable competence in students, not grades or time spent. Through Middle School, we refer to each level as a Form, while the Upper School uses Freshman through Senior Levels. Because Forms and Levels provide individualized student paths to specific goals, students can enroll at any time during the school year. This structure makes it possible for a student to move forward, regardless of age, once all the graduation requirements for a Form or Level have been met. In this way, each student advances as rapidly as he or she is learning and demonstrating competence, rather than having that progress controlled by the calendar or the progress of peers.
Meet the Manager

Manager
I am convinced that Delphi Academy is a private school offering something very unique to families. Our philosophy, our program and our results are worth investigating in detail before you make one of the biggest decisions a family faces – determining the educational approach used to help students (and parents) reach their hopes and dreams. We are industry leaders in two areas: we offer individualized proficiency-based educational programs and we specialize in creating independent learners.
Now that you have found us on the Internet, I hope you will take your search one step further. I strongly encourage you to accept the school’s open invitation for a visit. Once you tour our facilities, engage our students and immerse yourself in our community, I think you will find a school with uncommon character and a unique ability to service your family.
I look forward to seeing you here in Lake View Terrace.
