Junk King

This was so easy! I had set up my appointment online. Had a few follow up questions that I asked via email and it was answered very quickly, and on the day of the delivery, there was a bit of a delay but it was promptly communicated to me so I knew what was going on and when I could expect them to arrive. They quickly picked up my old furniture, and processed my payment. All very easy and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience as I value customer service above anything else. Price was very good in my opinion as well, would cost almost the same for me to rent a truck which I do not know how to drive and have to find a place where the junk is accepted. Thanks for saving me a headache and I will definitely use your services in the future.

I learned about Junk King through a groupon deal and read as much information regarding pricing, size of a truck etc. I really didn’t have that many things to get rid of, but wanted to play it safe and bought the larger of the two deals, or equivalent to a standard pick up truck.
Here is the groupon deal:
$ 39 for removal of one minimum truckload of junk (up to a $ 99 value)
$ 89 for removal of one-​sixth of a truckload of junk (up to a $ 209 value)
I gathered my items (again playing it safe when figuring what was going to fit in a standard pick up truck) When Junk King got here, they said it was more stuff than what I paid for. My profession is as a freight logistics specialist; I’m pretty sure I have a good idea as to what would fit into a specified amount of space and I am 200% sure that I could have fit the stuff in a pick up truck. The guy (owner) tells me that the space that I purchased (¹⁄₆ truck) was 3′ x 3′ x 7′ so of course he charged me for the ‘additional’ items (just under $ 100)
In addition, selecting JK was based on my understanding that they were a green company and would donate what they could to charity or recycle prior to ‘dumping’ items. Among my items was a nicer, solid desk that i disassembled for them and was told it would just be (wood chipped) recycled; and here I was thinking it would be going to someone looking for a solid desk that may not be able to afford one; I easily could have sold it online/​yard sale for $ 25 (minimum). I also decided to go this route because I didn’t want to inconvenience a friend by asking to use their truck; I so much would have rather offered to pay them the $$$ I spent and did this myself. Nothing about this experience made me happy, and I will NEVER use Junk King again.
