I Had a Great Experience having Lizelle do my makeup for my friend’s wedding in South Lake Tahoe. I looked fantastic and she was very professional with her approach to applying my make-​up. I highly recommend her for your special day!

I highly recommend The Decorated Bride! Corey, the owner, was wonderful to work with! She provided the make-​up artistry for me and my 2 two sisters and Kristen did our hair. The make-​up looked beautiful and natural and the hair was gorgeous! I couldn’t have been happier with the end result. Corey and Kristen are very talented. My make-​up lasted the entire day as did my up-​do. They arrived to our location and everything was fun and chill with them. No stress at all. They both were just lovely!

Corey, the owner of The Decorated Bride, was absolutely wonderful to work with. We had a very large bridal party and multiple (like more than 5) changes to the contract from the beginning of our discussion yet she was totally flexible and made it work for us. All of this while she was pregnant and then caring for a newborn!
On the day of the wedding (in Homewood), all of the stylists arrived on time and ready to work. We had Bailey for make-​up and she was great, the bride looked stunning and I think the rest of us bridesmaids all looked pretty awesome too. For hair, we had Kristen & Esmeralda. Again… really beautiful work. They were able to do a variety of hairstyles ranging from short hair for the MOTB to long hair with extensions and flower girls too. All of our hair and make-​up lasted well into the night with plenty of dancing and frolicking about.
I would definitely recommend the TDB for their professionalism, flexibility and just overall great stylists. We were very pleased with our experience. Thanks Corey & team!

Laurie did amazing hair and makeup for my maid of honor and myself. My hair lasted all day and so did my makeup. Corey was great in coordinating our service also. Would recommend them to family and friends!

On my wedding day I had my makeup done by Crystal and my hair done by Laurie. Laurie also did hair for all the bridesmaids.
Crystal was GREAT. She did a beautiful job on my makeup and is also really cool to talk to. I highly recommend her, and the three stars above are all for her.
Laurie was a disappointment. She arrived half an hour late with the bizarre excuse that she was on the phone with a girl whose hair she had done at a past wedding, and the girl couldn’t remember how to do her hair the same way. Okay so… you were half an hour late because you simply had to take a call from someone who’s not even getting married today? Wtf? Did this girl pay hundreds of dollars for your services? Because I sure did.
Then the hairstyle she gave me was… weird. It made me look older. Laurie thought it looked fine, even though everyone else in the room disagreed with her. Laurie just stared blankly and didn’t have any ideas on how to fix it. It ended up being my now sister-​in-​law who came up with a fix and had to INSTRUCT Laurie on how to do it.
To top it off, she kept complaining that she had to leave to get to another wedding. This after being half an hour late to mine. Sorry Laurie, you can take the 30 minutes you cheated me out of this morning to fix the bad hairstyle you gave me.
Finally my hair turned out okay, although the curls came out within a couple of hours. This is really the least of my complaints since curls never stay on me unless done by an exceptional stylist, which Laurie is clearly not. I don’t really care about the curls though. The bottom line is that Laurie is mediocre as a stylist and terrible as a professional.
While I definitely recommend Crystal for makeup, make sure to request someone other than Laurie for your hair.

My experience with The Decorated Bride was nothing less than absolutely wonderful and totally professional. Corey is attentive to your questions and your vision right off the bat and I did not feel pressured at all to sign a contract when I called for information, but it was clear almost immediately that I wanted to work with her and her staff. The administrative process is easy and well-​documented when you have so much else going on.
I had a destination wedding in the Tahoe area and was unable to have a trial run appointment until the week of my wedding, but Corey and her team were happy to accommodate my schedule and I was thrilled with the results of my trial run. It gave me the opportunity to meet the stylists (Crystal and Laurie) beforehand and get to know them before the wedding day, and they listened to what I wanted, my concerns and my ideas. I even had the chance to meet Corey, who stopped by to introduce herself and say hi, and that meant so much to me.
The wedding day was so much fun with the stylists around — and all of my bridesmaids were thrilled with their results. In addition, my mom was so nervous about having her hair and makeup done, she just wanted to look like herself and was concerned about looking too «done-​up» and the results were amazing. I was so happy to see my mom look beautiful and feel good about the outcome — they did a fabulous job. And for me, I felt like a princess — I don’t usually wear a lot of makeup or style my hair more than with a flat iron, and I was so happy with the way I looked — and it lasted all day long.
I would highly recommend The Decorated Bride — it is so much less stressful having them come to you when you are preparing on the morning of your wedding instead of having to travel to a salon, and they really know what they are doing. Corey is fabulous, and will be so helpful if you have questions or concerns!

The Decorated Bride was fantastic! Bailey did an amazing job on makeup for my five bridesmaids and me, and even snuck in my mom since we were ahead of schedule. The makeup looked and felt so natural, and the lashes she uses are totally worth the little extra money. Laurie and Kristen were awesome hair stylists. The bridesmaids and I did half-​up styles, my two sisters-​in-​law got their hair straightened, and my mom and mother-​in-​law had blowouts. Everyone looked amazing and the styles held up all day and into the night, even though I only had 4 bobby pins in my hair! Corey was extremely responsive to emails. I even got a credit for not doing a pre-​consultation since I don’t live in the Tahoe area. I couldn’t have asked for better service!

Corey did an amazing job! She did my makeup (bride) along with two of my bridesmaids. Our makeup was very elegant and looked flawless in photos. She was also very professional to work with. I would hire Corey again in an instant.

Corey and Nechelle with The Decorated Bride did an amazing job on my Mother and bridesmaids for our wedding. I was very anxious and had a lot of emotion while I was getting my makeup done and Corey was the perfect person to have there and help calm my nerves. Corey did an amazing job on my makeup! I still looked like myself, only better! I didn’t feel like I had pounds of makeup on my face, I felt completely natural and that was the most important thing to me. Corey is a very skilled makup artist and I’m so glad I hired her! She paid attention to detail and listened to what I wanted. The hairstylst, Nechelle, did an amazing job on all of my bridesmaids and she did their hair exactly like they wanted it. She did an excellent job on my hair, which was no easy task becasue I have a lot of hair and I had a very heavy headpiece I wanted incorporated into my hair. The Decorated Bride helped make my wedding day absolutely amazing. Corey and her team were so open to what my girls and I wanted and it was substantially reassuring that they offered a pre-​wedding hair and makeup trial run. Corey and her team did hair and make up for me (the bride), my six bridesmaids, my mom, and mother-​in-​law for my wedding. I had a trial run with Corey (make up) and Nechelle (hair) about a month before my wedding and I was very satisfied by their attention to detail and the way they listened to what I wanted and did that. Corey even redid the foundation during my trial run after looking at it in the natural light. I could tell I was in good hand from the trial run, but I didn’t realize how amazing these ladies would be on the actual wedding day. Corey, Nechelle, Crystal, and Kristen arrived at The Village at Squaw Valley (where we were getting ready) the day of my wedding and took over the whole room. They got to work on getting all the girls beautiful. Overall, I was so happy with the process from start to finish and the way we all looked in the end. Everyone really looked like themselves but better! All my bridesmaids said they loved how they looked. I do think being able to tell the stylists what you are looking for is helpful. The girls who provided a little more direction were the most happy with the results. A few comments on the stylists:
Corey — Absolutely amazing! I can’t say enough about how great Corey is at doing make up. She spent a lot of time perfectly blending foundations to get the right color on me. I looked amazing on my wedding day because of Corey and my make up really held up. Corey also did a great job of making sure that everyone in my wedding party looked great — both hair and make up — regardless of whether she did them or not. She gave the stamp of approval and a few times had people change a thing or two so that everyone looked just right.
Nechelle — Such a sweet person and amazing with hair! Nechelle knew exactly what I wanted when I showed her a couple pictures and described the look I was going for. I thought the trial run with good, but the wedding day was great! For the bridesmaids that gave Nechelle the creative freedom to pretty much do whatever, Nechelle did a good job of mixing it up and making everyone look a little different. My sister didn’t love her hair at first and Nechelle was quick to pick up on that and adjust a few things so my sister was very happy with the end product.
Crystal — I didn’t have my make up done by Crystal, but my mom and a few of my bridesmaids did. You can tell Crystal understands make up and what looks best on people. From what I could tell Crystal did seem to use a little heavier make up than Corey, but I had also told Corey I didn’t like the very heavy look.
Kristen — Again, I personally didn’t have my hair done by Kristen, but she did an amazing job on my bridesmaids. One of my bridesmaids has pretty short hair and Kristen was able to make it look like she had medium/​long length hair in an up-​do without adding extensions. The up-do’s Kristin did were really great!
Overall, I was thrilled with how we all looked and how smoothly the day went! Last thing I must mention is that throughout the wedding planning process Corey and her husband Jason were probably the most responsive vendors I worked with. Being from the Bay Area, I’m used to the fast pace of life which not everyone in the Tahoe area is, but Corey and Jason were always quick to respond to emails which really does make a difference when you are planning a wedding.

Corey and all the girls at «The Decorated Bride» did such an incredible job for my wedding! If you are looking for an amazing hair and makeup team of girls who are fun and talented — these are your girls.
I am from Los Angeles, so I didn’t know anything about Corey when I booked her — but I quickly learned I had made the right decision. I went up for my trial run over Christmas and showed Corey and Laurie my hair and makeup ideas I had collected from magazines and online. I don’t wear a lot of makeup, so Corey did an amazing job making me look beautiful without being too «done up.» Laurie captured my hair style perfectly, and even played with different options of braids. They both took pictures and sent them to me, and kept in touch throughout the year if I ever had any questions.
The day of the wedding Corey and Laurie arrived early and set up my entire hotel room to look like a salon. They were soon joined by Bailey (makeup) and Nechelle (hair), who were just as sweet and cool. All the girls did incredible jobs on my bridesmaids, mom, and flower girls. The makeup looked flawless and stayed on the entire night — I needed NO touch ups or even blotting papers — and I was up until 4am! For hair, Laurie and Nechelle were great at following my girl’s pics they brought, and making changes when asked. My mom is very picky about her hair, and Laurie, after doing it, completely changed the look to make her happy. Laurie also gave the flower girls the coolest ballerina bun with a braid up the back that all of my friends jealous and wanting one too. AND she gave me a head massage which was awesome!
Over everything, besides their talent, Corey and the girls were so fun, positive, and a blast to work with. I felt so comfortable in their well trained hands, and it felt like hanging out with close girlfriends doing each other’s hair and makeup during a slumber party. You cannot go wrong with «The Decorated Bride.»

Laurie did an amazing job with my wedding makeup and hair! She arrived 10 minutes early to set up (6:50am on Daylight Savings Sunday). She was very efficient with her time and skilled in her technique. Her makeup application was flawless and really complimented my facial features. My hair was styled so beautifully too. It was very structured but still «un-​done» (if that makes sense).
The service that The Decorated Bride delivered was superb! Corey is very responsive to emails and telephone calls. I contacted her 3 weeks before my wedding day and she was able to schedule a trial for me a few days later.
I felt so beautiful on my wedding day and couldn’t have asked for better service!

Laurie was my magic maker. She is very knowledgeable in her line of work and very personable. She did a fantastic job working with me, my mother and maid of honor and had us look our best on my special day. She was fast and had tons of products and makeup to ensure we got the look we wanted. Laurie is easy to work with and we had a blast with her. She was calm the entire time and made her job look so easy to do! Thank you so MUCH Laurie. I was extremely happy with your services for all three of us. ;)

I am so happy I put my trust in Corey and Laurie for my wedding hair and make-​up, I looked flawless on my wedding day! The hours before the ceremony can be very stressful because in your mind you want everything to be perfect, especially the way you look. Corey and Laurie lifted so much stress– Just knowing that I looked amazing, made anything that went «wrong or out of whack» during the actual ceremony and reception no big deal, because I had amazing confidence and felt incredibly stress free all night. A week before the actual ceremony I did a run through with Corey and Laurie, which helped them get an idea of how I wanted to look, my dress, and just the overall vibe of the wedding. Two days before the ceremony they sent a spray tanner to my house to give me a full body air brushed tan/​glow, which if you are able to do this I would highly recommend, it made a huge difference in the way I looked, definitely worth it :) The wedding was in downtown Reno and our wedding party all stayed downtown so the day of the wedding Corey and Laurie came to my hotel room and did my hair and make-​up. They both clearly take a lot of pride in what they do and spend the extra time to make sure ever detail is covered. Even after the hair and makeup was done they stuck around for a little bit to help out and to make sure that my hair or make-​up didn’t get messed up before the ceremony started.
Needless to say I looked stunning on my wedding day and it really is all thanks to Corey and Laurie! I am so pleased with Decorate Bride and I would highly recommend!

Corey is AMAZING! For my engagement pictures, she did my make-​up and Esmeralda did my hair. While my hair was good, the make-​up was the best I’ve ever had done. Corey’s background in make-​up artistry really shows through as she creates a look that is best for you. Just after the short time I spent with her while she did my make-​up, I knew that I wanted her to be a part of my wedding day. I hired her within the week to do the make-​up for my entire party. Even after one of my bridesmaids had to back out, she let me substitute my mom for the 4^th spot. You can tell Corey really tries to find a look that will work for the individuality of the bridesmaids as well as an overall look for the party. There were only 2 girls in my bridal party who are completely different when it comes to their make-​up (one plays up her eyes while the other is very simple). However, Corey found a way to make them complement each other (and myself) while still playing up what they liked. I would recommend Corey to anybody and I will definitely be using her again.

Looking and feeling good on my wedding day was extremely important to me. I tend to be self conscious and was very nervous. When I met Corey and Tori they were extremely nice and personable. They ask you alot of questions and make sure you like their results. I came into my trial with no pictures or guidelines and they did their own thing and it turned out great. On my wedding day I was completely stressed out and Corey gave me a nice facial massage which was greatly appreciated. Thank you guys, you are amazing =)
