Simply Sweet Cupcakes

Wish we could give an extra half a star. This would be a solid 3.5 stars. Cute cupcake store that also sells some cookies and service is friendly. Faves are the Samoa, Red Velvet, and Espresso Chocolate cupcakes. The downside is that there is just not much variety (in flavors or product) if you come here regularly, the frosting is just a little too sweet for my preference, and wish they would do more filled cupcakes. They used to sell pie slices from another local pie company which was cool but haven’t seen that in some time. Regardless, we like to support local business (and my sweet tooth) so we’ll continue to come here and hope for some more variety!

These are hands down the best cupcakes I have had. The staff is so friendly and so easy to work with. Their cake designs are just gorgeous! I will recommend them to anyone who is looking for a sweet treat or planning a event/​wedding. I will return for all of my celebrations.

Yummy!!! I’ve tried quite a few of Simply Sweet’s cupcakes and I’m always impressed. A little on the pricey side, but the icing is top notch, nothing at all like the crappy buttercream icing you find on a grocery store cupcake. Flavours are great and presentation is gorgeous. The Lake Stevens joint is run by an absolutely lovely lady as well with great customer service. We’ve been back a few times and will keep coming!

Delicious moist cupcakes with a wide variety of unique flavors! Great chocolate chunk cookies with loads of chocolate chunks! Delicious little local bakery with reasonable prices and an adorable interior! Also the workers are very sweet and the atmosphere is welcoming and family friendly!

Picked up some cupcakes for my family on a whim. Didn’t order ahead but they had plenty of selection.
One out of the five cupcakes was moist. The frosting was hard as a rock on the outside it was almost like eating hard candy.
I wasn’t impressed perhaps they all were not fresh.
I also thought that at $ 3.25 each the cupcakes were very tiny compared to other bakers in area.

Same owners as Snohomish Location. My family is a fan. The orange cream is the only one we have not loved. Salted caramel is hubby’s favorite. Mint chocolate is good and chocolate-​chocolate is heavenly. Unlike prior review I thought they were very sweet. However, we haven’t tried other cc shops. They are a yummy treat. $ 2.50 -$ 3.00 and punchcards!!!

Simply Sweet Cupcakes opened in March at the old location of the Oven Monkey in dowtown Lake Stevens. Unsure if it is owned by the same people or by the same people who run the shop in Snohomish. The shop is clean, painted in their signature pink and has about four tables. They offer beverages and of course, cupcakes. They had about eight varieties of cupcakes that day so I went with the Maple Bacon, Vanilla Orange Cream and Samoa. Cupcakes are on the small side compared to Trophy’s at $ 3.00 each. Liked the Vanilla Orange Cream the best. I also tried their French Macaron — $ 2.00 for a large piece. It was okay, but could definitely be sweeter. They now accept special order sheet cakes as well.
