This is a large salon with dozens of stations, so experiences will certainly vary; however, a friend warned me not to try this salon, and I wish I’d heeded her warning.

**please see update at bottom of review** First, let me say that my stylist, Danielle, was very polite and professional. Wonderful conversations and genuinely showed interest in said conversations. The establishment was clean, organized, and not once during my visit on 10/09/2015 did I have a negative feeling. My low rating comes from the following days, which I can outing in a conversation that I had with a receptionist for Image Makers Salon today, 10/15/2015. I called Image Makers Salon to cancel an appointment for 12/02/2015 which was to be my next coloring appointment. I politely informed the receptionist why I was cancelling; «I had my hair colored this past Friday, washed it 3 times, and it’s already very faded. I don’t think that I will be returning given the amount of money that I paid and the fact this is already happening.» I anticipated, at a minimum, a half-hearted apology for the experience and possibly an offer to have Danielle reach out to me. No. She responded with«your appointment has been canceled». So, still shocked, I politely said«thank you» to which she responded with an «uh huh» followed by the tone of my phone when a call has ended. Honestly, I have only used products on my hair in the past 6 days that Danielle said would be ok to use that I already have at home, so I am completely unsure why I’m already seeing blonde from where my hair was bleached. This was not the experience I expected from Image Makers Salon. Unfortunately I do not believe that I will be coming back.(cross posted) **Update: Upon further conversations with my stylist, Danielle, we were unable to come up with a time in her schedule for me to come back in and have my hair re-colored. My current work schedule seems to align perfectly with not allowing me the time to come in. So, I essentially paid $ 160(before tip) for color that didn’t even last a week. I believe it has spoken for itself though, as all of the girls at work have noticed how quickly this happened and have asked where exactly I went to for this. Not really the best advertising for IMS. Between the poor customer service when I initially called, and the lack of ability to schedule a time to correct this, I will for sure not be returning. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I’ve been here twice. The first lady I got did a good job, nothing extraordinary. The second lady cut a lot more than i wanted but by the feel of it, it still felt like she didn’t cut it. She also didn’t cut my bangs right. And then when i asked how much the total cost was i got«hmmm…um $ 30!» It sounds like she charged whatever came to her head and $ 30 is a lot because I just came in for a trim, and i got it cut dry with no shampoo or style.

Awesome place. We came in last minute for a homecoming updo, and they conquered us with makeup too. My 15 year old was sooo happy! She said she found her new«to go place» for getting hair done. For all the places we have been in the past,(which=many), I am so happy! And she looked beautiful for homecoming!

Great Salon, very professional! Nancy Thies is fantastic! They also have tanning. I don’t go anywhere else to get my hair done!
