History

Established in 1997.

Zehtab Family Dentistry has been delivering high quality dental care to the Portland Metropolitan area since 1997. After graduating from Oregon Health Sciences University, School of Dentistry, Dr. Zehtab established Zehtab Family Dentistry which offers a full range of cosmetic, restorative and oral health dental services for adults and children with emphasis on sound preventative dentistry.

As an Oregonian, I graduated from Oregon Health Sciences University, School of Dentistry in 1991. I then chose to continue my education by completing a one-​year post-​graduate residency in New York City, before returning to my hometown and starting my practice. I was fortunate enough to find a great practice in Lake Oswego in 1997, and have been here ever since.

I strive to do the best for my patients, who I also consider my friends. Continuing education and learning the newest techniques to ensure my patients get the best care is a priority! I am certified in Conscious Sedation, Laser Assisted Therapy, Invisalign, and many other areas of general and cosmetic dentistry. My team members stay up to date with new technology and techniques through continuing education. In my practice, we are Eco Friendly, mercury free, paperless, and use digital x-​rays.

I just had my initial exam and I have to say I was blown away. I’m a tough critic when it comes to details and everyone at the office was top notch. Dr. Zehtab spent so much time with me before looking in my mouth and informed me of things that I’ve never considered with my oral health. I can tell her office managers are going to be a great resources when it comes to managing insurance and your annual limit. I strongly recommend Dr. Zehtab if you are looking for an honest and talented dentist.

Dr. Zehtab and his staff are nothing but professional, courteous and caring. From the time you enter until you exit, you are treated with kindness and appreciation for your business.
My family and I started using Dr. Zehtab roughly 16 years ago when another dentist advised me that I needed 4 root canals. This prompted me for a second opinion where Dr. Zehtab determined I needed 1 root canal and a few surface cavities filled. My family and I have been loyal clients since and only trust the care and guidance from Dr. Zehtab and his staff.

My update to this experience is that I was refunded a portion of my fee. I feel this business acted fairly in this respect. Unfortunately this does not change the fact that they lied about the situation here on Unilocal,creating false facts about my visit.
While I appreciate the refund, I would still caution folks to do their diligence on any suggested procedures suggested by this dentist.

WOW! What an AMAZING PLACE! I came from California to get my crown put in! The staff, The Dr and his wife are all AMAZING!!! I highly recommend it! You would be a fool to go anywhere else. There is warm wonderful loving energy, a beautiful office and amazing staff and my tooth is in perfect health! The Dentist is INCREDIBLE! Thank you Zehtab Family Dentistry! you are #1 in Oregon!

My first appointment with Dr. Zehtab was because of a Groupon. No health insurance at the time (working 3 odd jobs) and I desperately needed a cleaning. That was over 3 years ago and I am so thankful to have found Dr. Zehtab and his staff!
Now, I live in NE PDX and work in the Pearl — Lake Oswego is not convenient from either location, but I wouldn’t go anywhere else. My hygienist is top notch and so thorough. But really, it’s been the care that I have received when I have needed larger procedures that makes Dr. Zehtab so great. Most of my cavities have been filled with a laser which means NO novocaine shots because there is no pain! And then the time that I might have had a root canal at an other office, Dr. Zehtab tried a pulpotomy instead to save me $ and pain and it worked. I have even had a couple tooth emergencies and somehow they always manage to squeeze me in and take care of me.
His staff are amazing and really feel like family. I even received a signed card from the whole office congratulating me on my new baby last fall.

I love this dentist.
I have shopped around town and been with several dentists. I have settled here.
Dr. Zehtab and the entire staff are friendly and thoughtful. They always know my name and remember what’s going on in my life. And they do a great job with my teeth. Literally, this is the first dentist I have ever been to where after leaving I can see the difference — my teeth look cleaner. And I have never felt pain, even after five fillings (some of which can be fixed painlessly using a laser).
I have never felt that they rushed through my treatment. Maryam, the hygenist I usually see, is a perfectionist in a good way, and always goes back to clean that last spot she might have missed.
All in all, a class act. I would recommend to any of my friends. An exam and cleaning costs $ 160 but they offer a 5% discount if you pay by cash or check.

I have referred this dentist to others as Dr. Z and crew are that great. The staff are professional and always pleasant to work with. The high level of service has been consistent over the last 5 years I have been going there. My 5 and 7 year olds have had good experiences with him and the «cleaning crew».
I get my appointment reminders via email and text because I can. There’s free WiFi while waiting and the wait is never long. In fact, there have been times I get in early. They have a great schedule, which means appointments before and after work are available. In the chair, I am sitting on some sort of comfy memory foam, «sunglasses» blocking the lights, while they have dialed in Pandora to the music that will get me through a cleaning or the dreaded drill. My file has noted that I have a high level of sensitivity to cold and they all make sure I’m taken care of.
If you have to go to the dentist, this is where to go.
