I LOVE these guys! Kevin remembers the names of everyone who walks through the door! They will do anything to make sure their customers are happy. Recently, they’ve been busier (as they should be, because their services are great!) so call ahead to schedule your appointment.

There is no one better than Kevin… He is so hospitable and I don’t know of any other place that gives you FREE beverages (incl beer and wine) while you’re getting your nails done. Ive been to many other salons in the area and when Kevin was booked I had to try other places. I can GUARANTEE there is no one like his salon. You will get top notch service since he tries to make sure all of his people are trained the exact same way. Anyone Ive ever taken there ends up returning. I have been following Kevin and getting my nails done every since he first started. It is amazing to see what an artist he has become in his field. He is ALWAYS both personable and professional. Because he is the only nail artist to do acrylics in the salon he is very busy — but as I have read in previous reviews — just book ahead and you will have no problems. I am sure it must not be easy to find manicurists that are artistic and creative rather than simply technicians, especially when it comes to acrylics! I get shellac, pedicures and sometimes regular manis and have been pleased with all the other manicurists. I appreciate the free glass of wine, water or beer each time I arrive and am always greeted right away. We all have days when we might not be 100% — but I have never had an experience at Unique Nails that would keep me from coming back!

I wish I could give a higher review, more stars, but I can’t. Kevin is charming and communicates extremely well, and makes you feel special by remembering your name and taking very good care of you. For this I give five stars.
I am very disappointed; however, in the quality of my pedicure. The lady who did my pedicure’s name was Lee and I think she is an apprentice and has not done very many pedicures. My nails were cut unevenly, the polish application is sloppy and all over my skin despite her trying to clean it up with a paintbrush and acetone. The worst part though, was that when Lee was filing my big toe nail, the edge of the file was against my skin and she filed so hard that she filed a cut in my skin so that every time she put alcohol or acetone on, it stung like the dickens and was pretty unpleasant. It is for this reason alone I am giving two stars. I think it’s simply that more training is needed ???

Excellent experience from start to finish! Quality work at an excellent price. Other nearby salons by Bridgeport are crowded and more expensive, not to mention a bit rude. Pass under I-​5 a quarter mile down from Bridgeport and you won’t be disappointed. Greeted warmly, refreshments offered, services and prices explained, and an introduction to your nail tech are made only moments upon entering! Kevin and his team at Unique are the place to go! Bravo!

I LOVE getting my nails done here! I have been here 3 times, 2 deluxe pedis and 1 shellac manicure. Kevin is the nicest guy– making sure his customers are comfortable and happy during their procedures. My shellac manicure today was fantastic– the tech took her time and worked slowly to ensure every detail was absolutely perfect. I really enjoy coming to this salon and spending time with Kevin and his wonderful staff!

I have been coming here for several years and am always greeted warmly and my name is always remembered. I have a free beer while I wait and get a meticulous manicure. Haley is the best! Her shellac looks pristine until you take it off. As for Kevin he is warm, personable and very talented. Best place around. Happy hour pedicures for under $ 20 and a $ 25 shellac mani can’t be beat.

Best mani-​pedi experience of my life! The basic pedicure included paraffin (which was heaven), complimentary beverages, everyone was very friendly, attentive and accommodating/​excellent customer service, tons of great colors to choose from, and my nails look great! :)

I am going to this salon since 1.5 years and I am very happy how I am treated and with the outcome of my manicure and pedicure. I see Hailey and she is wonderful! Will always recommend her. This place is very clean and bright. It is a relaxing treat everytime I go there.

I LOVE Unique Nails! I have been to many nail salons and this is by far my favorite place. Kevin is great as is the rest of the staff. They are professional and friendly. My pedicure was relaxing, and the 3 times I went in (I’m a new client), I left feeling very well taken care of and loving my new nails. They do what is in the client’s best interest. I will be loyal and continue to keep going. :D

Only giving one star to post my review!!! DISAPPOINTING!!! I should’ve read the reviews before attempting to walk in! I’m from outta state and was in need of a Mani treatment but as I first walked in, I got this not so friendly look from a guy named Kevin and he was very rude and snobbish gave me a look that wasn’t very pleasant. Don’t know how they make business with someone like that working there! I’ll take my business elsewhere

Kevin has skill when it comes to his artwork. Now, professionalism is the worst if anything sets him off. 4 months I went to him, loved his openness, free drinks, sympathized with him on bad reviews, and fed into his gossip of his personal life. Mark my words, when he gets comfortable, he becomes inappropriate on many levels. My last visit with him, he refused to hold a conversation, and nodded his head with heavy sighs, because I got my nails filled while I was in other state for work, stating I should have my nails removed before I see him. He also stated how I upset he is with me because I nibbled on my nails. I told him I’m am sorry with him continously being mean. I was sad to point of tears by the time i got home. Please take into account the poor reviews, there is truth to them.

This is the best pedicure experience I have had, and for the best price! I love everything about Unique Nails from the chairs, to the paraffin wax that’s included in the service, to the massage. Most places charge $ 30 – 35 for everything that is included in their basic pedicure which costs $ 20 – 25.
The best part? The customer service! The staff remembers you even after just one visit. The fridge is stocked with complimentary drinks. And they really care about their clientele. Despite living in downtown Portland, I will make the drive to go back to Unique Nails.

I’m a long-​term client of Kevin’s having followed him from his prev location in Sherwood. Yes, his prices have gone up, yes, he’s harder to get in with. But you know what? HE’S WORTH IT! He’s now able to use his imagination and creative genius to its full potential. SOLUTION TO SCHEDULE: book out ahead of time. Ladies, you know damn well that your hair appts have to be scheduled month or two in advance, why would you expect any less from a highly specialized nail artist? I have my nail & hair appts booked out until May. PRICES. If you want a cheap $ 25 pink/​white or two color job, as a walk in, then pick someone else, somewhere else. Kevin is growing a highly specialized, unique type of nail biz and grow with him. He attempts designs that regular nail joints wouldn’t. Some so intricate, that they take 2 – 3 hours. He doesn’t paint his designs, he does them with acrylic. AMAZING. You ladies that think it’s outrageous that he raised his prices to offset this… think: $ 37 for 2.5 –3 hrs is only $ 12 – 18 per hour! In comparison, Hair weave: $ 120 and about 2 hours incl blow out…$ 50 – 60 an hour. Kevin is impressive. Give him a chance, you won’t regret it. But remember, think ahead and book you next several appts before you leave.

These guys are awesome. They’re friendly and make you feel welcome and comfortable right away. I’ve been to so many nail places that treat you like cattle and just try and get you in and out as fast as possible. Johnny actually took time on my manicure and pedicure and it was without a doubt the best shellac mani I’ve ever had. I felt like this was one of the cleanest, nicest places I’ve been in a long time. The prices are completely reasonable and they serve wine, can’t beat that! I’ve found my new spot!

So I am torn to hear all of the negative feedback when honestly Kevin is the best nail tech I’ve had. Not to brag but his nails are by far advanced in that his designs are acrylic, not stick on or painted. (Besides roses and gems) he does take his time but it’s because he takes pride in his work. If you actually had a conversation with him you would learn that he is his biggest critic. He lets negative energy motivate him to be better so there are no more negative customers that had a misunderstanding. He does book 3 weeks out which can suck but it’s because he has that many clients. Don’t be offended if he refers you to other nail techs because he is trying to please you and make sure you still get an excellent outcome. No matter where I live ill still drive out to have Kevin Ho to do my nails. His staff is also phenomenal. He is growing his business with positive talent.

Worst nail experience EVER! Booked a appointment with Kevin after seeing his work on Instagram. Scheduled Friday the 7^th of February Paid the 15 $ deposit. A day before my appointment he text to try and reschedule me for a later time in the day due to «weather conditions» I remind him that I was also going in with my friend & asked if her appointment will also be pushed back? Then I get a reply like oh I’m sorry I ment for another day!!! I was completely understanding and said yes, only to get on my Instagram the next day to see him post pictures of his work before & after the times we would have been scheduled. It was snowing during this time on Friday the 7^th I was running errands all day & got around perfectly fine. Monday comes around and he Text again asking me to call and reschedule?!? I kindly state that I would not like to reschedule with him I would like a refund for both deposits due to the circumstances. He was willing to give me my refund & claimed that the pic was a late post from a couple days back. Which is perfectly fine it’s really his word against mine he offers a free service I politely decline. Then he goes so far as to text my friend telling her I was extremely upset & if she would like a free service she politely declines. Then he goes so far as to insult the both of us saying
«Ok sweet thanks! also thanks for letting me know how you guys feel… I was going to do my best to get you back in but with how your friend assumed things and getting upset over An appointment being cancel of the weather it’s shows me you and her are not the kind of clients I want to have. thank you for saving me the hassle and time and cutting things off before I have to deal with your friends attitude later down the road… have a nice day and I will send you your deposits:) «

I was never once rude to him I just simply stated how I felt!
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND KEVIN TO ANYONE! He lacks proper business etiquette. We went to him even after reading the other bad reviews only
To find out they were beyond true!

I just called to book an appointment, the booker was EXTREMELY rude and was not fully engaged in our conversation, obviously poor customer service skills. He proceeded by telling me they are low staffed and would rather take appointments but when I tried to book he said it would be three weeks out. I asked if they did acrylics and he told me there were a lot of places that do them but since I was so «picky» he wouldn’t refer me to anybody.

A little disappointed with how Kevin is changing his business. Now he charges $ 37 and you have to put down a $ 15 deposit to hold your spot, what?! He no longer does jewels on full fingers because «its not what he does», isn’t his job to please the customer? He over books himself and I was always waiting at least 20 minutes before he was even finished with the person before me.
The first time I went I was in love with his work, but it has declined, and he is too cocky for his own good.
I will never be returning.
