Oswego Place by Bonaventure

I just moved my mom into Oswego Place last week and so far my family and I are very happy. My mom enjoys the music and church services available.
Mary and Julie were very accommodating when I asked if we could have a family dinner welcoming my mom back to Portland from Arizona.
The room was all set up and when I thought we were running out of food Julie made another dish for us.
Also when I had delays with Medicare delivering my moms medical bed Mary allowed us to use one of the beds at the facility.
Novi the nurse is very nice and when I came to her with concerns she took care of them.
The front desk staff and maintenance staff are great

Caregivers have limited if any medical training. It is expensive for very limited accommodations. In the time my loved one was there, there were several accidents that occurred. Including, a resident rolling their wheelchair down the stairs and another lady falling down and dying on a walk with a caregiver. A man was found the next day with hypothermia after he left the facility in the middle of the night. The general manager at the time lied on several occasions. They are great sales people, and even better liars.
From my experience with two of my grandparents going through aging, dementia and needing assistance in their life, I can tell you there are no perfect options. However. there are horrible options and Oswego falls into that latter category.

If you care about your Loved Ones, do not take them here.
Very high turnover, limited staff visible at any time, expensive, and they Do Not follow through with any of the extra services that they say they provide.
The high turn over says it all. From staff
To management, it’s always changing.
In addition, We have asked and have paid for extra services that never seem to get done including administering meds. We will attempt to get reimbursed for those services, not holding out much hope. And we are checking other options.
