We just moved here and have been to this McDonalds 3 times now, and every time the fries are stale. Even when they are hot. The burgers are great, which is why I gave 2 stars. But really disappointing about the fries! Review Update: I finally asked them why they never have apple pies. Every time go I ask for an apple pie, and I have only actually had one once. The guy told me it was because they didn’t feel like heating them up. I give up on this place.

Most of the old staff has disappeared overnight, place isn’t as friendly as it used to be… they’ve introduced music now and it’s way too loud, no more having good a peaceful conversation. Also gone are the outlets, they even all been covered to discourage people from plugging in. Very very dull.

Came in to pass time between kiddo activities. I don’t expect much but there is an unpleasant stale odor, and staff is rude.

I have increased my original review from 2 stars to 3. They finally appear to have fixed their chicken nuggets so they aren’t weird looking and have flavor. Good! Parking lot is still kind of a disaster, but I won’t hold it against them since they don’t have options here because of the location. Service has been spotty, seems less than friendly at times. They REALLY need to bring Hot Mustard back. This hasn’t been factored into my rating here, but seriously, please bring it back! I have no real reason to get nuggets until then, the new sauces are terrible.

Okay, let’s start out by stating the obvious; this is a McDonald’s. McDonald’s doesn’t have the greatest food, however, it is not the worst either. The thing you look for going to a McDonald’s is consistency and speed. This place generally has the speed aspect covered, however, they have a ways to go with the consistency. It’s one thing if one location is a little different than the other location all the time, however when you can’t even get the same thing the same way at the same location, that’s a real problem.

What’s up with most McD’s no longer having cream & sugar for coffee out where it’s accessible to customers? If you’re going to screw it up and put like four creams and one sugar in my coffee when I asked for three of each, I’m cool with just making it myself.

Let’s face it, people go to McDonald’s because they know what to expect. A Quarter Pounder in Seattle will be virtually the same as a Quarter Pounder in Salinas – it is the customer service that sets one apart from another. The Lake Grove McDonald’s employees truly seem happy to be doing their jobs; that’s pretty rare in fast food. I don’t visit McDonald’s very frequently but when I do go, I know my order will be correct and delivered quickly by someone with a pleasant attitude Every Time. In comparison to other McDonald’s stores, I think Lake Grove deserves 5 stars.
