Maximized Philanthropy Auctions is a Portland, Oregon-​based auction company dedicated to raising money for nonprofit groups, including charity, school, and club fundraisers. Benefit auctions are our only business. As part of our service as auctioneer, we provide extensive consultation services to volunteer auction committees and charity/​nonprofit auction management teams.

History

Established in 1995.

Brian Bice conducted his first benefit auction for his son’s elementary school almost twenty years ago, and has been an auctioneer for nonprofit groups ever since. He specializes in fundraisers and, in addition to serving as auctioneer, provides auction committees with extensive counseling on ways to maximize profitability.

Brian Bice has been serving as auctioneer for school, charity, and club fundraisers for more than fifteen years.

A graduate of the University of Missouri Journalism School, he was the founder and president of Jordan Education Media, a communications firm dedicated to using private sector money to create and distribute free educational materials to teachers and schools. Over a period of twenty years, Jordan Education Media distributed millions of dollars worth of educational materials to hundreds of thousands of teachers in K-​12 schools nationwide.

Brian’s entire career has been devoted to sales, marketing, and communications. He served as Western Manager for Rolling Stone Magazine and later worked as a consultant for the Scholastic Group and other education-​oriented media.

As an auctioneer, Brian is very entertaining. Bidders are drawn into the fun in ways that make them want to participate in the action.
