Orion Music Studio is a a full service lesson facility offering music instruction on guitar, bass, piano, drums, voice, flute, violin, banjo, mandolin and an ever increasing variety of of other instruments for all ages and styles.

At Orion Music Studio, all our instructors are dedicated, full time music educators and are focused on the overall well being of our students. We believe that music is the gateway to better learning habits, self motivated activity, and individual accomplishment. No age requirements and no heavy handed conservatory attitudes here. Our only goal is to bring each student to music in a way that will keep it in their lives forever.

Orion Music Studio

History

Established in 2000.

Orion Music Studio was founded by guitarist Nick Schillace, to offer music instruction by professional musicians, and highlight all styles of music.

A performing musician himself, Nick ties Lake Orion to the music of the world via his own experience and the expertise of his teachers.

Nick is recognized internationally as a solo instrumentalist known for his finger-​picking style with his recordings Box Canyon (2005) and Landscape and People (2008.) Raised by folk and blues enthusiasts, he acquired early training at Augusta Heritage in Elkins, West Virginia. Nick sings and plays banjo, mandolin and resonator guitar in his folk duo Lac La Belle, who tour nationally and internationally performing original compositions. Other work includes tenor guitar in Odu Afrobeat Orchestra, electric guitar in Indoorpark. These vast experiences he shares with the community through his business, teachers, and his students.
