We had a chicken panini with fries. Enough to share. It was very good. Yes, it is casual, but that is as intended. Great lunch after golf.

We eat here often and I have never been disappointed. We had good panini’s for lunch today. Lake Lure is so beautiful.

We were skeptical about eating here based on the previous reviews, however, it was close and casual so we gave it a try. Ordered a grilled chicken quesadilla and a grilled chicken panini. The food was pretty good, only issue was we had to wait 45 minutes just for a panini. The waitress kept apologizing and gave us a beer to make up for the wait. Give it a try if you’re staying in Rumbling Bald Resort.

Service was a little slow but the waitress and bartender were both very pleasant. Chili cheese fries were slightly better than average because of the homemade chili on it, which although bland was better than the cheese sauce used on them. Sweet potato fries were fair, nothing special about them. I had the Oysters Rockefeller which were ok, although also slightly bland. Others in the party had the cheesesteak sub, wings, chicken tenders and chicken Caesar salad, all of which were average and slightly under seasoned (except for the overly sweet teriyaki wings).

When we first arrived we had to wait to get in our villa so we decided to get some pizza. This place is more suited for golfers looking for a drink. The servers were pleasant. The food took forever to get to us and the place was empty. The resort gave us a $ 10 coupon to use but the restaurant refused it saying they don’t except coupons during holiday weeks. Ok, well most of us vacation during holiday weeks. They can keep their overpriced dried out pizza for the drunk golfers. The rest of us with families are better off finding good food elsewhere.

It is mostly just bar food and is used for golfers making the turn to grab a quick bite. If you sit up in the area where there is a window and you see the grill I doubt you will ever get served as this is mostly an area golfers come to to place quick orders. You have to sit in the actual bar area to get service or walk to the counter.
They do some decent specials during the week for wings or fish frys or oysters.

Miserable employees, both in the bar and snack bar and absurdly overpriced snack food (this place can’t honestly be called a restaurant) leave me with the impression they are using their monopoly status on lunch and a full alcohol bar at the resort to rip people off.
Despite Mark’s poorly disguised and amateurish attempt to put Rumbling Bald on the Unilocal map with undeserved 5 star reviews, the other reviewer is right: don’t waste your time or money here.

Was most unsatisfied on my visit. Went on spring break vacation and the restaurant wasn’t that busy. Out of the 4 employees that we were in contact with, only one was pleasant and he was just walking through and saw that we didn’t know to seat and order at the table or if we placed an order at the bar and then seated ourself. Atmosphere would have been pleasant but because of the employees we didn’t even stay for the food! And this place and 2 others were the only eating place for miles and still didn’t deserve my money! Btw didn’t even offer the wing special advertised either because they said it was getting busy season! Very unsatisfied!
