All of our Mechanics are ASE Master Certified and are happy to talk to you to explain it all in a way you can understand. We do all repairs on most vehicles, from simple oil changes to major engine overhauls. We focus on one customer at a time, you!

History

Established in 1993.

Jeff’s Auto didn’t start out as a bang, in fact it came from a lot of hard work and sweat on the part of the shop’s owner, Jeff Besthoff. After working for an A1 standard gas station for about a year and a half, pumping gas and running around doing odds and ends.

Jeff went on to Trade School at Lincoln Tech and graduated as an ASE Master Certified Technician Top in his class. Receiving some of the highest grades ever at Lincoln Technical School.

After graduating Jeff opened a shop in 1993 in Algonquin Illinois, at which time he did very well and worked very hard and eventually needed more space. In the year 2000 Jeff moved to his current location in Lake in The Hills which is twice the size as the last shop.

The shop has been growing ever since. All of his customers followed him and most a lot of our business comes due to referrals that are given from current customers.

I opened Jeff’s Auto in lake in the Hills in 1993 and have been growing ever since. I think that our costumers keep coming back because I try to be as honest and up front as i possibly can. I try to make my customers feel comfortable with what ever needs to be done to their vehicle.

If I don’t believe that work needs to be done at the moment I will not do the work just to make a profit. I try to treat each and every customer as I would treat anyone in my own family.

I want my customers to be happy and confident and to come back for years to come. I have worked on some of my customers and then their children’s cars for over 20 years, That is my goal! I hope that my son’s Logan 18, Ryan 17, and Connor 15 will have some hand in the business in the future so our customers will feel confident that their shop will be her for many years.

My wife is also an owner and the Management at Jeff’s Auto.
