History

Established in 2009.

Inspired by their magnificent black wolf Shadow, and the tragic plight of wolves as an endangered, hated and misunderstood species, Paul Pondella and Colette Duvall founded the Shadowland Foundation in 2009. The mission to educate children of ALL ages about the true nature of wolves and their enormous contribution to the environment.

With educational programs, events and private visits, Shadow, Alaska and Takoda served as ambassadors for their cousins in the wild — demonstrating that wolves as a keystone and kindred species, should be revered, not reviled. Though Shadow has since lost her struggle with cancer, the pack has grown to ten and continues to carry the message.

Call us to schedule your visit to play with the wolves — a once in a lifetime opportunity.
