Found GnG after reviewing Unilocal reviews. Not living in town full time so I’m not up on all the places to go for good service, prices. Called ahead of time and spoke to Erika to set up the appointment for the next day. Showed up the next day and was immediately met by Mike. Asked me what the problems were and told me they would check it out and call me. Erika arrived and gave me a ride home. Within a couple of hours got that estimate call everyone dreads. Well it wasn’t as bad as I thought considering the amount of work that had to be done. Car was done in a day and Erika even picked me up to take me to the shop. It’s hard to find a place you can count on these days. I have definitely found a auto repair in Havasu that I can count on.

I was in need of a mechanic to do diagnostic and repair work on my 2006 Honda CRV. It was having starter issues. Based on reviews I decided to give this business a try. I was VERY pleased with my decision and the service I received.
Mike was very personable and was able to work me into the shop schedule quickly. I was immediately impressed by the cleanliness, organization and overall professional vibe of his shop. It was evident, based on photos and plaques in the office area, he is a big supporter of local (youth) motor sports competitors and enthusiasts.
Mike was very straightforward in his assessments of what the problems could be and my repair options, which actually included doing nothing. There was never a feeling I was being deceived or manipulated into having unnecessary work done.
Quite the contrary.
Based on our discussion of the diagnostics performed, I had the starter replaced. The work was performed well within the time frame and cost I was quoted. The problem I was having with the starter has been resolved.
Having recently relocated to Lake Havasu City part-​time, this will now be my «go-​to» shop for vehicle service. I highly recommend giving Mike and his shop your consideration.

My car broke down while heading to the Grand Canyon from havasu. I gave g n g a call and they were able to look at the car immediately, it was a blessing, there weren’t many places that would work on a Volvo with such short notice. These guys went above and beyond to fix the car. We had a stressful situation but they took care of the car, and explained what happened and the cause of the car breaking down which was super helpful as I’m not very savvy with cars. They really helped with the situation and followed up on us to make sure our car made it home safely. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for auto repair

First time in town. Car won’t start in the morning. The resort front desk recommended this place. Mike showed up and checked it. It maybe the starter problem. Order the tow truck then find out it starts again. Since my car had this problem a year ago, Mike said it could be the ignition switch. I got it changed and the deal is good.

My Honda Fit Sport suddenly started dragging behind my motor home, when pulling into the Walmart parking lot. I asked the parking lot security guy, Kyle, for a garage recommendation. He gave me the names of two places he uses and this was the one I chose. They offer free towing, which is a nice service. They couldn’t find anything wrong, so they only charged me $ 35 for the towing and owner, Mike, brought my car back to me. He spent time explaining everything they checked, etc. Great guy! The office gal, Erica, was very polite and kept me informed. I highly recommend this place and would use them again.

I have been astounded by Mike at G-N-G…this shop came as a recommendation off of a totally unknown individual, I had a slight problem with replacing a universal joint on my vehicle and they would not take a dime for the few minutes that it took… Now don’t go to this business expecting these results, but given it was only a 10 – 15 minute thing and I offered money in exchange for the service, this folks is how you attract better business and are supposed to treat people… KUDOS!!!

I called G-​N-​G because I’m new to town and of the awesome reviews I saw here. They did not disappoint. I was able to get a same day appointment for an oil change. They were quick and professional. Their receptionist Erica was very knowledgable about the mechanics of vehicles and very personable. She was kind enough to let my two year old sit next to her and draw. I felt like I got more than what I paid for. I’ll definitely being going back.

Larry the owner and his staff are wonderful. I was stranded and in desperate need and they helped me. They were polite, professional and friendly. Willing to go the extra mile to help.

This is the first review I have written on Unilocal.On our drive from Orange County, CA our AC went out on our suburban. We were referred to GNG by the manager at O’Reilly’s Auto Parts store. Couldn’t have had better service. Not only did they fix the AC but the office assistant took my husband to the marina and picked him up so that we could enjoy time on the lake while the car was being fixed. Everything was reasonable priced and fair. We could have easily been taken advantage of. Wish they were closer. Definitely the place to go if you live in Havasu or if you are just passing by and need someone to help you out. Thanks so much!

Let me start of by saying that I am not a person who gives out very many 5 stars. To me, this level of rating is reserved for only the very best of service. Now that that’s out of the way, let me tell you why these guys are so awesome.
I recently made a cross-​country move that took me through Arizona. After checking out the glorious Grand Canyon, I decided to stop over in Lake Havasu City to see the original London Bridge. Why not, right? This is what cross-​country road trips are for… natural wonders and oddities.
It turned out to be an excellent decision in a way I hadn’t anticipated. Upon arrival at my hotel in the evening, my A/​C decided it had had enough of all that desert work and gave out. I took my car (an old gal from 2004) in the next morning and Mike and Larry fixed her up for me right away. After her treatment for «Lake Havasu City Syndrome,» she was doing quite well, so I went about my sight-​seeing in the 108 degree heat. I was just about to head out of town (the next leg of my trip was through the Mojave), when I noticed that my engine was a hair away from overheating.
Back to G & G I went. «Uh oh,» said Mike when he saw me pull in. «Uh oh is right,» I said, «but not for the reason you think.» Turns out my radiator was plugged up with all sorts of nasty gunk and needed to be replaced. The guys did a fantastic job once again and the service included a national warranty on parts and labor.
Not only are these guys pros at car work, but they are quite possibly the friendliest mechanics I’ve ever encountered (and I’ve lived in Kansas and Kentucky!). They treated me like family, made sure I was comfortable, and, most importantly, explained everything to me in a way that was nothing but respectful and friendly. No sexism here! They were also very understanding when I called to consult with my father (who is in the auto business himself) about decision-​making.
Not only are they great guys who do great work, but the whole experience was pleasant. The waiting room is clean, comfortable, orderly, and well decorated. The bathroom was nice and clean, too, and even had hooks for purses. A brilliant touch! As I was waiting, I also got to observe Larry and Mike interacting with other customers. It was clear that they have a loyal customer base in town and were very friendly to everyone who came in. They were honest, too. I overheard them tell one customer that he could replace all of his spark plugs if he wanted to, but that only one looked like it needed it.
If you live in Lake Havasu City, these should be your regular mechanics. I only wish I could move them to Long Beach! If you are planning a cross-​country road trip, don’t go through the desert, because it’s a car-​killer. But if you do take the desert route, make sure that you plan to go through Lake Havasu City so you have great mechanics at the ready.

Fantastic service, came in for an oil change and to have them check on why the belt was squealing. Had the car in and out in one day. Very professional, no BS and very competitively priced. Tell everyone to go here, they’re amazing!

Great 2 man shop. Honest hard working guys who didn’t rip me off. I was impressed with how clean there shop was, but even more impressed with the final bill. If I’m ever driving near Havasu, I would stop here again A+ guys! Thank you.

Our car broke down during our vacation here. We were stuck at the hotel while they fixed our car. They really tried to expedite the repair asap so we can continue our vacation. Although it still takes 3 days out of our vacation to get it fixed, they really tried the best and have been very quick to respond to us and to other involved parties so it can get fixed asap. Great service.
