Fat Sub

Went in today and ordered a fat sub on Rosemary olive oil bread and was extremely disappointed to be informed that they recently stopped using the usual Rosemary bread and replaced it with another type that’s literally half the size for the same price. Sad to say I probably won’t be going there much anymore.

I only go to subs shop in lake Havsau I walk in fat subs the know my order already the make in front of you Ed dei the counting ask me for my order the person in fat subs I walk in they know I what put I like Ed dei also they are better then subway sub in Havsau

Owner operated with quality meats and cheeses! The prices are great specially the Sub of the Day Special… Sub, Pepsi & side. Homemade potato salad was so fresh and yummy! It has bacon!
Sub topping and sauce selection. This was our first time here and happy to try it! We will be back.

My only complaint is that there aren’t ideas listed up on the board. For someone who has never been, most places have certain types of sandwiches you can order without having to get creative. FAT sub had them on the paper menu but not listed on the big menu you look at. That being said, you get as many kinds of meat and cheese as you want for one price, the sandwich is delicious, the service was quick and kind, and the price was right. Best sub I’ve had in Havasu so far. You can call in, and they deliver! I will be returning!

Thank you for making gluten free bread! You made my day because I was able to eat an excellent sandwich with my friends on the boat and not be the weirdo with food issues.

I waited two years to go back to this place again. I was hoping it would all be different but sadly it sucked just like the first time I went here.
It was Memorial Day Monday and there were only 2 people working. The place was busy (lucky for them they had customers) but the wait was so long… it took forever. Another couple the walked in waited for a few minutes and then decided to go somewhere else… we should have done the same thing. The sandwich was definitely not worth the wait.
The woman taking the orders and cutting the meat (might be the owner or manager) was not very friendly… no «hello» or «how are you doing»… it was more like «what are you having». Very unwelcoming.
The meat cutter is still as gross as the last time I was here. It hadn’t been cleaned in a while as it was covered with meat shavings from all the previous orders. Just not very appetizing.
I hate ham… so I don’t want my turkey mixed with the ham shavings and ham juice.
I watched my turkey being cut and then the pile was placed on the edge of the meat cutter, then on the bare counter and then finally on the white sandwich paper.
It was moved 3 times before it got on the white paper. Not good.
The girl who was adding the toppings on the sandwich thought it was funny to actually throw the stuff on there. … never seen anything like it. Not sure if she was trying to be ‘cool’ or ‘funny’ or what the hell… but watching her toss the stuff all over the place was also annoying.
When I unwrapped my sandwich is was a complete soggy mess.
The whole experience was 1 star… we will not be back.
There are many sandwich places in town… this is the worst one!

My Dad was hungry for a steak and cheese, so rather than get him a crappy Walmart sub like he usually gets himself, I came to Fat Sub and got him a no-​nonsense straight up steak and cheese. It was truly delicious, and HUGE. You have choices here. Pick your size– you have options like double the meat, 6″, 12″ etc., etc., etc., pick your bread– LOTS of options, fillings, and whatever else your crazy mind can concoct.
I got Dad a 12″ sub on a white sub roll. This bread was awesome. Very soft, very tasty, fresh for sure. The steak was super flavorful, and there was plenty of meat on the sub… And I didn’t get extra meat. If I lived here, I would frequent this place. Definitely worth the money! If I had gotten this sub back in NH, it would’ve cost me quite a bit more… 6 bucks and change– worth it!

What a mistake! Pastrami Ruben made me sick after eating only half. My wife got a roast beef, she could only eat half as both sub’s tasted so very bad, she got sick almost immediately. We also got an egg salad for later in our trip. It tasted like pickle salad. We got rid of them at Pilot on 40. Mudshark has much better sub’s as they have never made us sick!!!

Really good subs, got lots of variety in everything even down to the bread! It’s been hard to find good sub places in Havasu, this one is now my go to for subs. The staff is friendly and is always giving suggestions on what is good. Check them out!!!

This is our favorite place for sandwiches in town. Way better than Subway! We call ahead and get the boaters special boat wrapped before heading out on the lake. They’re always four very different sandwiches and there has never been a time when one was wrong. The staff is always friendly and the place is always immaculate. P. S. The roast beef on ciabatta is perfection!

This place is just a tiny sandwich shop. But oh my god!!! There sandwiches are so good and fresh. I have had to go there everyday since I have been in town. There boaters special is an awesome deal. Great food fast service

Had a great sandwich today. Great service. Meat was really good, high quality… puts Subway to shame! Highly recommended by our whole family. Really enjoyed the Rosemary bread too.

Fantastic sandwiches & wraps! My husband loved the Ham & Cheese & I loved the Buffalo Chicken in a Spinach Tortilla wrap. Good potato salad too!

Best sandwich EVER. always fresh and delicious. They should be more busy than they always are! GO EAT THERE PEOPLE! everyone loves sandwiches?

Fat Sub is Good The bread is fresh and you build your own sandwich. The customer service is great. We had buffalo Chicken the Italian. Sub. We will be back.

Worst sub I’ve ever eaten. Bread was undercooked. Meat looked very sketchy. The sub fell apart when I tried to eat it. Won’t be going back.

It’s really nice that they have gluten free options… just too bad it’s so terrible!
Why do they even bother?
At least today it was. The bread was really stale and they actually gave me the heel!

If you have no problem with gluten this place might be great, I can’t say (that’s why I gave it 2 stars). But if you’re avoiding gluten like me, I’d recommend Red Robin’s gluten free buns or Rosati’s gluten free pizza.

Despite the reviews my kids and I stopped and we had a great experience. The sandwiches were very tasty. My daughter loved the rosemary olive oil bread. My son loved the buffalo chicken sub. All three of my kids said, «this was so worth the money» even though it wasn’t their money. ;)

I am sad to see these negative reviews because I really enjoyed my experience!
I am from out of town and we always make a point to go to Schlotzkys when we are out there. On our way in to town we saw that there was a new sub place so we had to try!
I felt like the food was well prepared, fairly priced, and the staff was very nice. We plan on returning when we are out there.
I saw on another website people were complaining that this was more expensive than Subway. The way I look at it is this– would you be upset to pay more for a burger at Red Robin than McDonalds? I think you get what you pay for here. They slice the meat fresh and the bread is amazing. If you want processed/​less than desirable deli meat, go back to Subway.
