Axios Salon

Axios is a top-​notch salon. Belinda has been my beautician 6 years or more (I’ve lost count)! Customer service is always impeccable. All employees are polite & professional. Junior stylists are friendly and definitely know how to massage a scalp! The salon is extremely clean and free of clutter, hair trimmings, dye or any other annoying gross object found around a stylists’ booth or sink. I love the cleanliness. Even as the salon is packed, serenity remains. I cannot speak for the other stylist all though their customers seem satisfied. Belinda is my go-​to girl. She caters to all hair types from kinky naturals (like myself) to silky straight hair. Her excellent services include hair coloring, cuts, blow outs, prom/​wedding styles and weaves. Try her! She has never let me down. She is the only stylist trusted to trim my hair. I trust her with my tresses! i believe walk-​ins are accepted, but its best to make an appointment! Happy Unilocaling!!!

I see Darlene, and she has always done a good job with my hair. Saw her recently for a cut before a work holiday party and walked out feeling fabulous. The ladies who have shampooed my hair beforehand have all been nice too.

I made an appointment to have my daughters hair done for her prom, more than one month in advance. On the day of the prom, I brought my daughter to Axios and I left to pick up flowers, etc. I returned about 90 minutes later and my daughter was still waiting, when I thought she should be done.
I insisted on talking to the manager about this and she said that she had to take care of walk ins first. What? Really? Why should I have gone to the trouble of making an appointment? I never returned.

This is one of the few professional hair salons in Suffolk that can mange ALL types of hair; including my just got off the boat, nappy, African American, hair. I see Belinda, if you are ethnic or just extremely thick and/​or unmanageable hair, I’d highly suggest her as your woman but I’ve have a few other people work on my hair and they are all great. I’ve gotten colors, relaxers and extension and every time I come out looking AMAZING.
I will say this, being Black, I have gone to the «beauty shop» for years. Why? Simple, because they are cheap and I didn’t know any better. But this is by far a case of; you get what you pay for. Yes, this salon like all salons are rather pricy but the quality of the products the use is top notch verse products you can buy at a drug store. For the first time in my life my hair is healthy and manageable so I’d highly suggest this place, at least for chemicals because it’s not worth messing your hair up at other places.

I just moved to the area and bought a Groupon for highlights and a cut. This was my best experience at a salon ever. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. Allison did my hair and gave me great tips and advice regarding shampoos to help my damaged hair. I love the color and the cut. I will most definitely be going back again.

I loved this place. I bought a groupon and expected to be treated shabbily or be given a trainee but instead, I was greeted by friendly staff and the shampoo girl was friendly and sweet. Linda, the hairdresser who took care of me did WONDERS for my dry damaged hair. she gave me great tips on how to take care/​repair my hair and my color and cut is awesome! I will definitely be back again.
