History

Established in 1988.

The summer home of the famous painter Georgia O’Keeffe and her husband Alfred Stieglitz. Known as the «Oaklawn» the former Stieglitz family estate was designed to exalt the wonders of nature. The mansion was O’Keeffe’s beloved sanctuary, a retreat that soothed her soul and inspired some of her finest paintings. In 1991, the house was divided into five individual condominium units, with each unit divided again into shares, and later became known as The Quarters at Lake George.
