Georgian Resort & Conference Center

Rooms were nice enough, nothing special. Parking on premises. Crashed here after a wedding in town.

Stayed there for two nights. I would definitely not recommend this hotel. Although the location is good, overlooking the lake the rooms need a major update. The rooms are dark and dingy with poor lighting. The shower area was very tight and looked as though it was an insert added. There was a heart shape tub that looked like it was from the 70’s! The pool area is nice but that is the only thing. Not worth the price.

I stayed here for a wedding and found the staff to be friendly and helpful. There was a fraternity reunion going on the first night as well as a bunch of bikers who were very loud. Think revving engines at 6 am…
This place is definitely more of a motel. You park right by your room and most of the rooms face the parking lot. The windows are huge and right by the parking lot so make sure you close the blinds! If people aee checking in late, you will hear them. If they take a shower in the room next to yours, you will hear them.
The room was nicely decorated and there is wifi now! Bathroom was nice too, and someone had folded our towels into swans! So cute. The bed was comfy too, with lots of pillows.
The front desk people were very knowledgeable and helpful in telling us where to get food/​gas and giving us driving directions.
There is also free coffee ²⁴⁄₇ in the lobby!
The bathrooms in the restaurant smelled really weird but were seemingly clean. The facilities in the reception hall are much nicer. Great views of the lake from both these places.

My one night stay at the Georgian was, I’ll put it lightly, a Snorgian. Not only was the management rude, they were age discriminant, and we were even told to «shut the fu** up» in our own room, and they told us we didn’t pay enough to stay there. The one manager was not sober on the job and was the reason it was so bad. My organization was treated so poorly I was actually shocked. We will never, ever, give them our business again. We paid to be there and it was a complete waste of money…$ 7,000 to be exact. Be advised.

First of all, let’s call the Georgian what it is, a motel. If you come here with any level of «resort» in mind, you’ll be disappointed. The location is very convenient, right on the lake with a private beach and a quick stroll to the restaurants and shops of the Village of Lake George.
The rooms are clean with new carpet and wallpaper. The furniture is in good condition, but the bathroom could use an update, or at least for the cabinet to close so you don’t get caught on the door.
On the downside, closing doors shake the whole building and the A/​C unit was the loudest I’ve ever heard. I couldn’t even keep the fan on to circulate air if I wanted to get any sleep.

Never again! My husband and I visited the Georgian at the beginning of the year. When we got there, they had changed our reservation to a different room. There was nothing they could do to change it back because they’d already rented out the room. We had specifically requested that room and reserved about a month earlier. It was marked available at the time, so I don’t know why they changed it at all. And they didnt even think to notify us before we got there!
They insisted that the room we got was an upgrade, however, in order to get to said room we had to walk through the icy parking lot, down two flights of stairs, through a construction zone, and around back with all our luggage.
The room still had remnants from the last occupant. The décor was dark and uninviting. The bathroom was still damp and the faucet on the tub kept falling off.
For what they charge, you’d think they could let you get the room you requested — oh and maybe clean up?
Also, its been almost a year now and we just got a charge on our debit card for a dollar from them. They said its an issue with their system that charged several cards a dollar, but it seems very scammy to me. My biggest concern is not the dollar they charged me. MY concern is that they are still keeping my card number on file. Why on earth is that necessary to have my number for almost a year?
Needless to say, we won’t be going back.

Stayed at this place for two nights and our room was clean and neat. When checking in, the lobby and the restaurant are very nice. As for our room, it has the things you would expect from any hotel. The beds were a little springy and can be uncomfortable, but being close to the water was worth it.
While I thought the pool was nice, the shallow end is too small for toddlers. It’s only a few steps and thought there would be an area where they could walk around. I still liked the pool area and the outdoor deck had a guy performing with his acoustic guitar.
I would have given it 3 stars, but there were certain amenities that were not available, such as wifi. Every time I asked someone, I was told they were working on it. Since my T-​Mobile cell p hone service didn’t work out there, I was stuck going to the Bank Café down the street to check in at work. The beach area was also under construction, which cut the area down to half, and had that construction zone look to it. The game room/​laundry room was also under construction and rooms next to us were being worked on so the drilling noise was a bit annoying.

My room was amazingly clean and well furnished. I rarely felt so comfortable in a motel room. Stayed there 2 nights in early Feb. Breakfast buffet at the restaurant was totally decent, reasonably priced, with view of the lake. I don’t doubt the other reviews are sincere but it definitely does not describe my experience.

Horrible. Bathroom dirty and the sink is very very low. Rooms smell. No handicap rooms. As the brochure says a good room

Without letting us know beforehand, we were put into a Honeymoon Suite, which was extremely gaudy and tacky — the red heart shaped bathtub (with its ring of soap scum) says it all. The free WiFi didn’t work in our room either, and our view of the lake was largely obscured by the roof of their reception hall. When we asked to be moved to another room, we were politely told that the hotel was fully booked (which I suspect is the reason we were given the Honeymoon Suite — to accommodate a longer staying guest.) The pool is nice but the beach is disappointing. The courtyard rooms overlook a large parking lot. Overall a lot of money to stay in an average place.
