Established in 2007.

Waggin’ and Walkin’ was founded by a working pet parent and avid dog lover. Our original goal was simple. We wanted to provide professional loving care for working owners and busy families. After teaching preschool for 15 years and Directing a center for 1, it became apparent that people truly loved their pets as members of the family. I also became aware of how many people were concerned about their pets being home alone all day. I decided that their had to be a better way! Since the beginning, Waggin’ & Walkin’ has worked to create loving and beneficial experiences for dogs, cats and their owners. We treat each pet as if they were our own. That is our promise to you.

As long as I can remember, dogs and cats have been a part of my life. Pets were present throughout my childhood and I carried on this tradition into my adult life. I often brought my two Samoyeds with me to school functions and classroom parties. I spent 15 years in the rewarding field of Early Childhood and cared for numerous children, their families, and their pets. My passion for animals grew with every new dog or cat that I cared for. In this time these pets have added to my life in ways that I had not imagined I made a decision to follow my heart into a new adventure. To me pet care is much more than a business. It is something I very much enjoy. I get as much from the pets that I care for as I give, in terms of love, kindness, and having fun! It is a wonderful feeling to show up at a families’ home and have the animals happy to see you, and wanting to spend time with you. I hope that through our business we bring peace of mind to owners and happiness to their pets.
